  • It's been over 10 months since I posted my first plant room tour and a lot has changed since then! The room has been a work in progress for the better part of this year and I'm so excited to show it to you now that I've finally happy with it.

    They make super powerful magnet hooks that work great for the wire backing! That way your enclosure too can close.

    Hey Alice! The best luck I’ve had with my pictum tricolor is wayyy less light. Potting medium kept moist and not visible to a grow light. Makes it look way less gangly. Paused the video before I forgot 😂

    Ohhhh! I just saw you have a P. Bicolor. I have a 3 leaf unrooted cutting too. I'm trying to root it in water. Please keep us/me posted about how your rooting situation goes! ❤️💚

    THE CAMOUFLAGE PLANT LOL. My husband literally said the same thing last year and then he "released" it to me to take care of bc he couldn't figure it out. It also died a crispy death on me lmao

    omg your first « brand deal » 🥹 even though I already knew about mother’s grow lights through other creators, I really loved your input. I know you recently that you wouldn’t be comfortable recommending something you don’t like or use, and it really shows here that you love these lights.

    Loved the video, watched it all while travelling.
    A tip from a Monstera albo/Thai/aurea (etc.) hoarder... they just don't really like pon all that much imo. Have great success with all my Alocasias, some Philodendron, some Anthrium but not with my Monsteras... they didn't grow very well and eventually most of them started to rot in pon. Never ever had a Monstera (literally ever!) rot in soil - and they're growing much quicker and bigger too.

    Try using fluval for that plant that won’t root in the pon. It’s got natural nutrients you can fertilize too.

    My tortum lives in room temperature and is putting out a new leaf. Doing great but I use humidifiers in two rooms where I have the most plants.

    Weird, I’ve repotted my 3 huge monsteras multiple times and about 10-15 I grew from seed and they never skip a beat

    That’s the same speckling I had on my Forgetti an then I noticed little brown marks on the stem. I don’t know what it is but treated with systemic Bonide. What ever it is did spread to other Anthuriums. 💚

      @@youdontevengrowhere Hey, yes it did but took a watering or two an lost every leaf on the Forgetti. Check the stems, it looks like little brown scrapes. 💚

    Nice new set up❤ are you planning a dedicated great white vid? Like different ways to use, how often to reuse it, do you use it on mosspoles caus there are roots there aswell, are there downsides to using it?

    The Philodendron Bicolor takes SOOO long to root. I also imported one in July and it is only now starting to establish itself and push a new leaf. I had it in pon first and all the roots were gone and doing jackshit so I switched to moss and had better luck.

    Hey Alice! ❤ I have a question, I like you new exo setup. How deep is your wire rack though? Is the rack 60” long and 18” deep or does the exo hang off the back?

    I got so many plant chores done while watching/listening to your tour! And yes, Huxley, you’re the cutest (along with Pudge 🥹). I’ve been decluttering plants and plant pots and while it’s hard at times, it is a relief too.

      That’s what I figured but the helicopter mom in me still worries if it’ll continue to size up with the lack of aerial root production 🥲

    Hello! What is your anthurium cross? I didn't catch the second plant. Anthurium chiapense x ??? I got a plant that looks similar called "shapaja silver" that is more blue and I'm trying to figure out more about it. Thanks

    I heard that the white of the Florida ghost has also alot to do with fertilizer, maybe try to feed it more.

    My a. Veitchii likes cooler temps (67 degrees at night and 69 in the day)grows in about 60% humidity

      @@youdontevengrowhere yes! The last leaf it pushed out was about 5 inches longer than the last. It does grow kinda sideways/ hanging almost like a pendulum. I have it in pon /closed container.

    I need this in my life but over $200 for a light is not in the plans right now, love it though, maybe the price will come down like the plant prices once it gets more popular.
