I ended up buying the new Killer Instinct Vital X430, but yet to shoot it because I been using the Barnett TS380 this season. Thinking about selling the KI and getting myself the new BCX myself for next year. Have to see after this season. Only think that hlds me bak is the arrows that are required to shoot with this bow. Hoping we see aftermarket arrows down the road.

keep the killer instinct.I have both and my ki shoots faster and better than the bcx.the bcx is allready needing new strings and cables after 50 shots due to a serving issue.I may sell the bcx and get another vital x 430.

@@jims3000 Yeah I had decided to keep the KI. To many reports of both models of the BCX having issues.

One possible cause: If one doesn't make sure the HyperFlite nock doesn't snap on the bow string it will dry fire the xbow. You should hear an audible snap click on the bowstring when inserting the arrowing into the trigger box. You have to push with lots of pressure to hear the snap/click on the bowstring. Hope this helps. Just another reason not to use the HyperFlite arrows. Use traditional Xbow. arrows with half-moon nocks.

I still haven’t gotten any status response after calling twice about my HR410 cable shredder.
Did they do away with the V shaped cable shredding groove on these new cams? Are Hyperflites required or can we still shoot standard half moon bolts?
Glad to see a quiver upgrade. Looks very similar to my DRT405

I'v seen pics of the BCX cams and they still have the "V" groove. That is quite unfortunate.

@@TomOnTheRun Tom, that’s not unfortunate that just flat out sucks and it’s wrong. Barnett knows they have that problem. I guess it’s time to scratch Barnett off my list.
Pretty sure my next one is going to be an Excalibur rev X

@@GregK-pv5xe Greg, I can't argue with your reply. There has been a noted engineer that has highlighted fixes, specifically the cams a year ago to Barnett engineers and nothing was done from Barnett to implement these corrections into the BCX. I'm a Gen1 and did my own mods and have a legit shooter. It's not fair to consumers thinking the BCX has fixed the cable chewing cams. They simply have not. Add they have the highest helicoil requirements on the cables. That pressure/poundage is so great it stretches the cable string after 50 shots and within the next 50 shots the serving begins to move and separate. These two dynamics lead to cable issues with no fix for consumer. I'm currently having cable strings stretched at 485lbs to make sure the cables do not stretch. Then having them double served with dyneema serving. The tensile strength of dyneema is 2X stronger vs Angel Majesty or Halo. It's a shame because the BCX and HR410 are innovative designs. Ha, I'm doing all of on my on time and dime with one other person. Note: I have no hate toward Barnett. I've been their strongest advocate on CBN. I can't recommend BCX or HR410 with these deficiencies unless one wants to do these fixes themselves.

@@TomOnTheRun I’m right there with you guys on CBN. What makes me really upset is the number of people Mike promised redesigned cam starting in August for those that registered their 410’s. Mike left or got fired & we all know that was just a HUGE lie
I enclosed a note with mine telling them to fix it right & I don’t want another set of cable shredder cams

@@GregK-pv5xe That's a tough call. The CS person may had that info at one time. We'll never know. It's a shame. Note: I know someone is testing/developing a more durable cable. Could be a big help for HR/BCX owners vs current OEM strings. Current OEM strings (cables) stretch too much after 50-100 shots. It's common to see 1/8" to 1/4" stretch. Serious issues happens once the cable stretches 1/4". The serving loosens as a result and soon after gets cut near the start of the helicoil cam groove. Stay tuned.
