- Barnett went above and beyond to make up for the issues with my Hyper Raptor. Great customer service! I did switch to the RCD and that made a huge difference for me. Check out the replacement Hyper Raptor.

Barnett is not just a great company, it is probably the most important crossbows company.
They have a great history and they were the first to bring many things to the crossbows world. Good to see their service is also good.
Believe me, they earned their good name with a reason.

I’ve never had bad customer service from Barnett… I’ve had my Ghost410 for over a decade, and have used it all throughout every year for deer and hog(many hundreds of shots, both target and hunting). The only issue I ever had was a broken string the first month I had it(it literally dry fired with no finger near the trigger). I called them and within a week I was back hunting. It’s still going, but am going to retire it this year(I just purchased the hyper raptor a couple weeks ago). I was literally pulling the trigger on buying the RavinR20 when I noticed this thing sitting on the floor behind the counter, because they just received it a couple hours earlier. I looked up the stats, and was more impressed with the Raptors accuracy than I was with the Ravin. The best part is how grateful my wife was that I saved so much money lol!
I still love the product they offer at a price we can afford! I should be doing some more reviews here with them soon I hope! Can't wait to get my hands on some different options to show you all!

Looking forward to your 25,50, 100 shot progression. Note: make sure you hear an audible snap when you lock the HyperFlite capture nock onto your bow string. Read page seven of your manual. Just a thought. Also, look forward to your lighted hyperflite nock shots and how you turn them on/off. Many are watching your channel because there have been issues related to the cables being cannibalized by the cam build. As a result I am on the fence till I see more positive shooting results over time. Good luck!

Years ago,I had a new Barnett Vengeance riser come unglued while sitting cocked on the bench top. I'm glad my face was not near. Glad you were not hurt. I had a new bow in my hands six days later. They stood behind their product. Although I admit the first six shots with new one were fired at arms length. No problems since.
It's hard to not be cautious at first but gotta get back in there for sure. Man this raptor rips them.
I had a vengeance that broke, the riser snapped in half right after I got in the deer stand. They sent me a new bow I got to pick from whatever was in current production
Expedition archery has great customer service. I had an issue with an x-430 and they sent me another no questions asked.
Man when I saw that rope over the scope I was hollering STOOOOP! NOOOO!!. Lol. I'm glad you got a replacement. That says alot about Barnett. Good luck and stay safe man.

i had issues with my Head Hunter Reverse draw bow when it first came out. after 2-3 shots i realized it needed a lot of improvement. honestly if you were one of the first to buy and use that bow, you were doing the R&D for them. in the end they sent me a New Replacement bow that i saw had the exact same issue once i put it together. i sold it the next day and havent had a Barnett since. i was thinking about getting this one but now i am skeptical. they do a lot of Customer R&D in my eyes.
Glad to see Barnett fix the problem. I just got my hyper raptor a few days ago, and I love it. Watched your videos and it gave me some doubt with my bow. Granted, I’m 60-70 shots deep and only issue I’ve seen is the serving string that is close to the cams is unraveling and coming loose… so nervous about that for sure. Please let me know how your bow looks after you get a good amount of shots in!

You should contact Barnett immediately regarding you cable unraveling. The root cause is the spindle where the cable wraps around when you cock the xbow. Good luck!

@@anthonyberry7996 hopefully that was all that was wrong. They said they really wanted to inspect mine. I think that's why they didn't just replace the strings. Hope your problems are solved. How do you like shooting it? It's a blast isn't it?
I just bought a hyper Raptor 410 and had the same as a problem the cable started shredding they called Burnet and got one within a few days it just might have been a bad batch of cables or strings I don't know but they fix the problem and fast

You know what but all I can say I've had quite a few Barnett's I've never had one to ever blow up but I have had problems with the paint coming off the limbs the paint is limbs trying to Splinter and they've always taken care of any problems that I've had I had a couple of Barnett's where you go to Cock it and you can't get the safety off and I had to take it actually to Northwoods in Pinconning for them to try to uncock the Bowl but they always took care of me but all I can say is Barnett is a chief made crossbow everybody knows they're made in China but if you can get a good one you've got a good one and if you get a bad one you get a bad one that's just how they are good luck though man

Im also a budget hunter,and a few yrs back got the xp370 ,which was a huge upgrade from my 1st barnett barnett crossbow 20yrs ago, broke the string and was like time to upgrade anyway,got it..i enjoy it..but now looking at a hypertac 420..i like the dropdown grip..i will always stick with barnett,tried and true on a budget i can afford..but want a burris orical x scope and need to figure out if its able to mount to it as well

I've shot mine about 20 times and seems to be just fine. My only issues are with the CCD and customer service. The crank cocking device (CCD) balled-up in the spools, keep getting out of their guiding track and now it will not dispense enough rope to cock the bow. I took apart the spool section and got it "unballed" but the spools acting in countering rotations has somehow gotten off where you cannot get enough rope out to cock it. The CCD was finicky from the start. Hard to get out and then scary to remove once cocked and put back in holster for firing. So I called customer service several times. No one ever answers and after about 20 minutes on hold it then sends you to VM. I've left several messages and sent and email. Gotten no where. So I can't cock my bow due to the Halo system and needing a "sled" rope pull to cock it. Disappointed! I'd steer clear of the CCD.
Seems the high poundage wears the strings out fast. My predator is good for the same thing.
I’m new to the alpha nocks I usually use half moons, does the nock on the hyper flights need to be fully attached to the string( like a compound bow arrow)? And from what I’m hearing maybe the first bow was just an unlucky accident
They are suppose to grab the string but it's hard to tell if they do all the way I'll keep a close eye on that as well
How many shots so far on your Hyper Raptor? Have you tried shooting regular crossbow bolts with half-moon nocks yet? Hyper Raptor is suppose to shoot both style of arrows.
I did and it broke but I think the string was compromised first.
I bought a Barnett TS380 on October 2nd and I was in the stand Sunday and noticed one of my limbs had split and splintered.
I sent an email on Sunday and called this afternoon and cannot get a hold of them. Hopefully they respond soon.

I returned mine. That ccd was just a bad design. I'd have preferred the old style. I will end up with it but with just the rcd.
But did their other bolts work?
Not trying to say that this is an issue, as I have no experience with this particular bow.
That said, at 9:08 on the video, when you are checking the cable on the cam, something looks a little odd.
Where the cable passes through the hole from one side of the cam to the other, there is a small piece bolted on to the cam that looks like it has a somewhat sharp edge. The sharp ridge looks very close to the cable (that might just be the camera angle though). I would keep an eye on that ridge and see if it leaves marks on the serving. If so, it may mean that the sharp ridge needs to be rounded off to protect the cable.
I actually was wondering if that is the problem!! Seems like a simple fix for them if it is
Can you fire headhunter bolts out the hyper raptor? I watched you bow blow up ,was it due to the arrow or the cam?
They say you can but I believe it was caused by the nock that was on the arrow they told me. Honestly I would just use the hyperflite and not risk it
I have the same target and its trash. My 370 will blow through it. Definitely can't handle what its rated for. I recently bought the BlackOut bag that is around the same price. Much denser target. The hurricane has tore up more of my bolts than its worth.
I Have a Barnett Recrute Train I love it never had problems yet it's factory insurance on it warranty life should try it like around 5 to 6 pounds

I noticed with my hyper raptor you must use a significant amount of pressure to snap nock onto the string when loading the bolt. I was unsure if you were actually seating the hyperflite nock to string in your video. Thanks from ohio.
I pushed as hard as I dared but maybe your right. Maybe I need to push harder.
@fernfieldfarmsHomestead the amount of force it took me was definitely more than I would have thought but you will feel it click/clip onto the string. My accuracy definitely got better when I clipped then on the string.

No they wanted it back to study it which is awesome in my book they wanted to see what they thought caused it which was the half moon nocks on the headhunter arrows according to them. So they took it back.
The bow us a pos and you need a special target to stop the hyper flyte arrows

You know that's funny to me bro you got all that property but you can't afford a raven crossbow come on man
It's not that I couldn't get one. It's a choice. What is more important paying off house and said land, so I'm debt free, or spend thousands on a bow. Lol every one has different priorities. Me I would rather stick with a solid reasonable bow since it's something that is used for a few months a year on average. Also I want to do reviews for people that are like-minded. Not saying don't buy a Ravin. I'm sure if I had one I'd love it. It's a matter of buying what is right for you and your financial choices right? We all have different goals and likes. That's what makes life awesome! If you want to spend thousands on a bow go for it! For me that extra goes towards this land and future land :)

@@fernfieldfarmsHomestead Ravens are really good brother. I went from Barnett equipment to Raven, actually bought the R29x. The new R10 or R5 would be a great fit for you since they do advertised speed plus some. Check those models out.

I bought this bow with the CCD and the sled broke the first time I cocked the crossbow. Sent it back to Cabela's today. Load the arrow through the Halo and don't put your fingers in the path of the string. Watching you do that made me nervous. Hope the new bow works out for you.@@fernfieldfarmsHomestead

I'm working towards getting my first Barnett, I've been wanting a Barnett forever and finally gonna hopefully get one so I can get back into archery. I missed many years because of work and then got arthritis really bad in both shoulders so couldn't pull back my bow anymore, so long story short going for a Barnett with the crank on it to help, because I've always loved archery season. So #Barnettcrossbows @barnettcrossbows not sure how to tag them but think it's awesome how they treated the situation for you
In my opinion if you need the crank maybe look at a different option that the Hyper Raptor. As much as I like it the ccd is questionable and hard to use.
