Hi Glenn.... beautiful work on the 037....my only nit pick....is you have the wheels and tires in random locations they our true video... The rims for the back have the rivets. And the front have the veins. It is a easy thing to miss due to the finish on them... I'm sure you figured it out after the video was done. But just in case I wanted to offer a friendly reminder. Again beautiful work
Outstanding information Martin, I did know (afterwards) that they had different off sets, but had no idea the actual rims were different on the outside 🤯

I am sure it’s the original body from back in the day. I think they have redone the wheel arch. Do you think it would go on Subaru brat chassis with some bigger wheels 😂🤣
I remember building this must have been 8or9 I think it came with 1 driver. I just built it and put stickers on i thought it look cool.I think I swooped it for something. Can’t remember what.again what a amazing job you have done 👍😃

Glenn, it might be too late but I come from a 1/24th plastic kit making hobby, styrene. With similar paint to your cans And marker pen always shows up under the paint due to solvent in the pen, be prepared

Edit : Like my SandScorcher, I think I painted the body three times before I was happy lol, but she ended up looking soooo gorgeus!

hi glenn love the car but for me i would put a touch of filler over the spotlight screws and touch it up with a bit of white paint they just stand out too much really but otherwise awesome

As you do brush paint, you better may mix some Tamiya Retarder with the paint to get a better flat surface, on big surfaces and hard bodies I do use the Tamiya spray-work basic air compressor with air brush, works great.

You can spray automotive clear coat over the entire body before you take it out, I mean take the windows and light lenses off before you spray it but clear coat will protect and keep all the decals in their places for ever. You can get high quality aerosol hands from companies like cromax or even DupliColor I prefer chromax and there's a number of them out there

Probably one of the greatest kits ever. However, its Achilles really are the stickers. I wonder if it is only me, but I couldn’t find any clear illustrated instruction (video, pictures, drawings etc.) how to apply the (main) on the front alongside the bonnet.
As there must be some overlap between the sticker on the side and on the top (otherwise you might end up with an opening between the side and top sticker) how comes all the finished builds just look perfect there?
So why is it, that all videos just do not show that particular part? Is it that they don’t build that part themselves? Is it „pre-factor-built“ by the company and just enriched by all the creators? Any thoughts? Any hints?

Hi Glen, thank you for the video, I’ve just found and watched it. I am considering a Lancia 037, but I have a couple of questions and wondered if you could help me with these? Did you actually drive your 037 after building it, and if so, how did it drive? Did you take it off road at all, and again, if so, how did it handle? Finally, you were so praiseworthy of the Lancia, but given a choice, would you go for the Tamiya Lancia 037 OR the Wild One? Many thanks, Mark.

Did you clear coat over the white? Why not paint the side window surrounds? I'm waiting for this kit to come back in stock, apparently it is still 'in production'
Agree.... I haven't tried it, but maybe clear coat over the stickers (everything but the windows) would work also? I'd try it first on a scrap piece though....
Hey James no I didn’t clear coat it my friend. I was also very close to painting the side window surrounds, but that wasn’t box art or indeed like the real car. But with that said, yes I think it would look much better with them painted 🤩👊🏻
