I'm glad both players took the initiative to use whatever items were available against each other. The speed of this specific match, and seeing how that Roy tried to balance item effects with his own moveset was intensely fun to watch. It really separates this gameplay from all the others.
Man just watching all of these matches lately has made me so excited about this game, I remember when Smash 4 was announced and we seen gameplay and people were worried about it not being competitive because of how people were playing, then the game came out and people got used to the game and got good and the game looked alot different. This game looks good regardless but imagine how dope its going to be a month or so after it comes out when people start getting really good with it I cant wait.

The game thought that move was going to be the final one killing Roy. On moves that will take someone's last stock the game will zoom in and slow down like that. It just didn't see his dodge coming.
@@MaxfieldV The game only activates the cutscene if the attack actually lands. I'm pretty sure it only does this with smash ball final smashes as opposed to meter final smashes.

I hate that people want stage morph banned. It doesn't promote camping. It counters camping. Whenever someone picks a stage they pick a stage that can give them an advantage of some kind. Campy players will pick stages that allow them to camp. And that's exactly what they will be able to do the ENTIRE game. But if stage morph is enabled. both players can pick a stage and adapt accordingly. Campy players wont be able to camp the entire game. Also the transformation itself is not disorienting at all.It shows the stage for a good 5 seconds before switching. And while switching both stages are active and you can stand on both, meaning that there's no reason why anyone would accidentally SD because the stage changed.

Loonieboy as much as I want stage morphing to be a thing for tournaments, there’s still so much testing to see which stages are legal and all. Plus some stage transitions cause noticeable framerate drops which is a definite no-no for competitive play.
I don't think stage morph is all that bad unless the transition itself screws someone over. Otherwise, I don't see campy stages and stuff being a problem since you pick both stages manually meaning you have to abide by tournament rules and only pick neutral/counterpick stages. Plus I heard this game picks stages before characters so if a shady stage is chosen, pick a character that you're confident can handle it. I'm sure stage morph will be banned anyways for being unnecessarily extra, but as long as the transition itself doesn't screw people I can't think of any other reason it would be banned

I think that's what it looks like when you activate your proper Final Smash you got from a Smash ball instead of the one you get from meter.
