For those of you who didn't get the joke at the end. That spinning wheel thing is called the rolladex (spelt it wrong probably). Before there were digital devices to store contact, people to keep track of contact in a paper and store then in that rolling thing you just saw and carry that around. :3

OK, so I'm usually really good at guessing people's age. Like, I'll guess "37" or "23" or "29" and often be spot on. So I was at a rock concert with two friends. We somehow started talking to what seemed like a couple (a guy and a girl), and ended up going to a bar for beers after the concert. Turned out the guy and girl had only talked online and met for the first time today. I couldn't tell if it was a date for them or not, so I didn't make any moves out of respect for the other guy, but the girl was insanely cute. Would've placed her around 20. I was 23 at the time. I talked to her on Facebook later, asked if she was going to Roskilde Festival, and she said she wasn't old enough to be let in without a guardian. (You have to be 15...) Turned out she was only 14!

I totally crushed on a guy I met at my friend's party (who is also a guy)..the guy seemed totally straight. Wow this is so TRUE! I remember not even a year ago I got with this Chinese girl in the city. We were standing in line at a downtown Starbucks and she thought I said something in Chinese when I was ordering a pastry. When I explained the misunderstanding, we started talking and sat down together while we ate. I was really nervous and she was super cute. We talked a bit about college and what aspirations we had for the upcoming future. I though she looked to around my age (19) but I soon learned that she was 28 and man did it hit me out of the blue! I could tell she was flirting with me as well, but I never got to tell her my age when her boyfriend comes out of nowhere. After an awkward introduction the man tells her they need to leave and she walks away with him while nervously waving away. I couldn't help but smile after that.

I can totally relate to that. People usually think I'm 13-15 while I'm actually 22 years old ;_; they are so surprised when I say I'm at university. This is the most relatable thing ever. I’ve tried to get myself out of my comfort zone and talk to women at coffee shops and the like, but so often I end up hesitating because it’s genuinely impossible to tell how old someone is. Someone will look anywhere from 15 to 25. It’s always a gross feeling when you accidentally talk to someone who’s under 18.
So I was sitting in a bus with my mom recently, when suddenly a friend of mine showed up. She came to me, we said hello and then she's like: "Oh, is that your sister? Nice to meet you!"

We had a little class meeting 2 or 3 years after finishing school. Trying to smalltalk I asked our teacher if her kids already left her home (after finishing school themselves). She was very unpleasantly suprised about how old I think she was as she was around 30 and had no kids yet. Somehow I thought she was around 50 (as all teachers in general). I think she hasn't forgiven me yet :D

I have no idea how many times I watched this video over the years. It a nice one.
I have a feeling that Asians generally look younger than Westerners at the same age. I'm Asian and I'm 20, but a lot of Europeans I have met thought I was only 14 or 15 (and no, I don't look younger than my peers and I have an average height in where I live). Besides, I have difficulties guessing the age of the contestants in American Idol. A lot of them are only 16, 17 (younger than me), and somehow I always thought they were in their mid twenties.

Asian faces are more similar to babies in structure, with a flat nose and small face. This means they register as pre-puberty for humans but this perception can be strongly influenced by clothes and make up. So as an Asian you can usually pass as the age you dress yourself as unless our have a raspy/deep voice.
Other races besides east-Asians actually develop their bone-structure more in their face during puberty which makes it easier to check their age.
When I was 26 and living in London, always asked for an ID whenever I bought a cigarette. Happens in German too though.

it is so difficult to know the real age of an asian woman. There's this lady she owns a restaurant. When i move to my neighboorhood, her kids were babies and she looked to me like a teenager but she was probably 26 or 27. Now her kid is 17 years old and she looks to me like being at most 28 or 30 and she's like 40 or 43. So weird..
