I have a goldtone FM . I bought it new years ago. I recently had it repaired by Seiko after a few years of non working. It is now good as new and I couldn't be happier. I think you cherish yours as I do mine. It is a special watch.
Always happy to see people our age getting into older watches heh. I've got a seiko flight computer in the gold tone that I'm planning on getting serviced soon. It's been collecting dust for too long.
I own two seiko's one prospex and one similar to the one you showed in the video It's the snd253 ; a bit more modern but it still has the value-packed seiko dna the brand used to have There's just something romantic about these uncategorized sub 200$ seikos - it's really hard to see the same model on anyone else's wrist unlike the hundreds and thousands people wearing the same turtles, or samurais these days. It's such a shame seiko left these aesthetics behind Btw, love the channel Keep it up!
I own a 5Y23-6150 Quartz MPH Pilot Flightmaster Sports 150 '89, SKX007 '96, Giugiaro Bishop '92, ScubaDiver 38mm Calibre 4205 '86 . . . .and a couple of 5's from 2010 and 2019........... Yes they have lost it.
Guys! Thank you so much for watching the video! Let me know your thoughts here! Don't forget to check out the description for useful links!
My dad had one when they were new. I have just bought one about two hours ago! Can't wait for it to arrive...
It is the 6A09 two tone one

Thanks for the video, I just bought one. Paid about $300 USD, but it’s mint condition.

Yeah absolutely agreed, sadly they are focusing more and more on "safe" designs that look cool but are not special per se. You made great points!
I only own pre-2018 Seiko's anything after that it's just prospex bullshit.
They have definitely changed their target and mindset at some point
Short answer for the title (I did watch the whole video) : Yes, they have lost it.
