Millions of Amazon Prime customers all over the world have now come to expect this astonishingly swift service on countless items as standard, and this has put great swathes of the traditional retail landscape in trouble. So today, we’re going to look at how Amazon delivers packages so fast.
Let’s pick a typical Amazon product as an example. Say you need a bicycle pump. How will Amazon get that bike pump delivered to your door, the very next day?

My brain explodes when I try to think about the management and processes required for this level of logistics... it's just crazy...
A decade ago few people laughed at Amazon, saying it is just an online book store. But now Amazon is a sheer Technology company.
As a new amazon buyer, I'm so impressed how fast their international shipping was! My order was shipped by feb 1st from US and arrived here in asia on feb 11! It took only 10 days for my order to arrive!
I ordered 3 items from the US and I live in Eastern Europe, it only took three days for it to arrive.
I live in the Philippines, it arrived in just 4 days from the USA . That's why I search on how they do this 😅.

Being in logistics myself for over 25 years and a Amazon Prime shopper for over 15 years and regionally located where I'm at worst 2 day shipping but most of the time one day... I have it down to know approximately what time of day my last Mile delivery time will be. What's truly amazing is how i can order one item for next day then realize crap I need this to go with it items order it within the last hour will piggyback picking so they arrive together the next day.
This is such an awesome video. I'm always stumped at how they're able to deliver items so quickly. It's absolutely astonishing!

When Amazon made agreements with FEDEX and USPS we stopped getting our packages. I called them and explained the problem and they said that they would correct it.The very next order didn’t make it and we cancelled our Prime Account and We buy locally and if not available buy off eBay.
all those poor robots have so much work just me switching stuff from shopping card to wish list :(

You did not add the little fact about the algorithm checking up on the private fulfillment sales and making sure that if your product is "hot" it is certainly scheduled for an undercut by Amazon itself. Only niche products or products that cannot compete are allowed to stay on fulfillment process for long. Also there is no "modest" fee with Amazon - for items under $20 you better manage to get them for less then half of the price they are selling for to even break even.
Up my package came up missing when they Arrive in Buffalo Ny I am petty sure the USPS might help themselves. I have been there delivering mail they are jerks. But Amazon sent me this Your package may be lost.

online shopping is changing the world, It greatly boosted the increase of economy, for you can buy anything made in any places
,it breaks up the barrier of space while fast delivery breaks up the barrier of time ......but I do hope they can lower the delivery price even further.
in china normal delivery still costs about 2-3dollars with in 1 kilo, and I hope they can be faster, I'm getting impatient to wait for 3days.
(the fastest deliver is with in one day, but it cost about 9-12dollars, which is not worth it)

SO FAST? Please, until summer 2020 - now we have to wait up to 1 month EVEN WITH PRIME, so, the ONLY people that benefit from this are the ones living NEAR amazon facilities.

I usually get stuff on time or early when I order from Amazon.
I bought labels, took them 4 days to get here - and that was on time. The first of the last 3 orders. I should move to Europe I guess.
Amazon has the same shipping speed as everything else in Calgary. Prime doesn't guarantee quick shipping either.
In the U.S. the other parcel delivery services like UPS or FedEx usually take a lot longer to deliver orders. From my experience.

I don’t understand how Amazon makes money.. let’s say you buy that $10 bike pump and it does take an hour of labor to just PICK up the item.. they are already at $5-10 deficit in profit from labor alone.. Then probably about .75 cents in packaging and like $3-15 shipping costs. Multiple that deficit by a million that’s a LOT! Not to mention like 10% items are returned paid for by them completely. I do understand they make money from memberships and more money on certain items ect.. but whatever they are doing is magical.

Of cause but is it free? Btw not in all Europe for sure
@@emaregos8758 Most online stores require a low minimum purchase of appx. 50 dollars or less to provide free next-day shipping, and we don't even have to pay a membership fee.
And the best thing? Knowing that we support local entrepreneurs instead of a bunch of greedy stock holders.

The fastest I have received my packages this year (with prime) is about 4 days, most packages take about a week now, and getting slower and slower. Those drones are just show I doubt that will ever happen. Does anyone think a multi billion dollar company is going to be slow because of a virus, what are 80% of their work force sick and dying, really.
