two sharp friends having a lot of fun. love all the contrasts of tones and a sweet, free, improv style. tony reminds me a bit of tim stafford or kenny smith. paul doesn't remind me much of anybody much but i appreciate the openness and variety, not common in traditional music. then again, nothing in this sounds too common. if i took the time to learn both solos, i'd be better off... but let's be honest :D
I’d say they are sticking to the melody just fine which is the important thing. And really liked it!! The tempo does not seem slow to me at all. . The only problem I think is I can’t really hear Tony on his guitar. Not sure if it’s the instrument itself? Maybe dig in a bit more. And sidenote, I couldn’t play half as good as you.
ha, yeah, I'm digging in a ton, but because I play with such a rounded and thick pick, there are no highs to cut through in the mix - oh well, that's the price of having a really dark tone I guess!

Ha, thanks so much for the insightful comment! I would love to learn one fraction of what Paul does too... but let's be honest ;-)

Faster! Less embellishments (although very impressive) and faster tempo.
yeah, sometimes it's lots of more fun to take it slower and just see what happens ;-)
