All I can say is if you want to hear true Bluegrass music like it has heard from North Carolina in Tennessee and Virginia stay away from Arizona Arizona. They’re a bunch of HACKS!.. they don’t know what the music really represents but they pretend like they do and it’s very disheartening for people that really know what it’s about people that are born and raised that moved here from the southern states that made our association what it is and then you got these Californians in here they come here with ukuleles and harps and all this weird shit it’s not even worth going to the festivals anymore. That’s the way I feel about it. I’m born here 50 years and I can’t even deal with it because it makes me embarrassed because this is not what Blue Bluegrass is is very bad to the music and what people see what is supposed to be

So for you, Southern folks that are used to listening to quality jam sessions and good high harmonies and good instrumental solos stay away from Arizona. There are a bunch of fucking hacks here they play country music thinking is Bluegrass and it’s pretty sad and they play really soft to the point you can almost hear a pin drop. It’s not like the southern stage where they truly know the music And me myself that is why I quit going to their Bluegrass festivals because it’s not authentic it’s nothing but a Waterdown version of liberalism that thinks they know what southern music is and that’s exactly how I feel about it so if you wanna try it out you’ll find out what I’m talking about. You’ll find ukulele. You’ll find auto harps. You’ll find all this bullshit that has nothing to do with Bluegrass and then you’ll have some guy singing Merle Haggard music. That sounds like total dog shit you shouldn’t even be singing , that’s the kind of stuff you’re gonna find here in Arizona in California in the south very southern part of it. They don’t have any idea what the music really is. They just have an idea and they call it Bluegrass. This is why I don’t Bluegrass festivals because it’s actually a disgrace.

All i can say is if you are passing through AZ. You will disappointed in the quality of bluegrass music here. California's and -washington folks that have invaded AZ. Hsve a diffent view of bluegrass music, and some people from the south it will make you vomit!.. so if upu there go bluegrass here dont bother unless you want to hear a jam session of bunch hacks passing offthier music a bluegrass

two sharp friends having a lot of fun. love all the contrasts of tones and a sweet, free, improv style. tony reminds me a bit of tim stafford or kenny smith. paul doesn't remind me much of anybody much but i appreciate the openness and variety, not common in traditional music. then again, nothing in this sounds too common. if i took the time to learn both solos, i'd be better off... but let's be honest :D
