    I'm a 65 y.o. black man from Philly and I grew up on them in the 70's. There's no auto tune,no filters etc. Regardless of your race if you loved good music this is a classic. They've got a lot of good songs including their disco era that people enjoyed. Yes your right baby making music that they don't make anymore. To me the 60's,70's & 80's were incredible for great music. Enjoy my friend.

      I don't understand why people feel the need to put up their race and their gender when it comes to this song like I get everybody on here thinks that this song helped to change racial barriers I really don't believe that it did because we had so much more better artists back in the day especially Soul musicians in particular Miles Davis BB King people like that changed the course of music as we know it but I don't think it matters on a white or black person or any other color turning on the radio back in the day and listening to music I just don't understand why people are bringing race into it what color you are or if you're a man or a woman it doesn't matter it's music it's always been the same it brings people together no matter who they are or what color they are it's music everybody loves to Groove Get down whatever but I really wish y'all would stop putting up your race card and how old you are and if your male or female it doesn't matter the only thing that matters is the music...

    Most people are unaware that Barry Gibb and Michael Jackson were collaborating on a song at the time of Michael’s death. Some years later, Barry Gibb completed the project and released the recording of “All In Your Name” Which will send your soul in spirals. Two majestic voices together as one. I hope you will listen to it and comment after wiping the tears away, especially if you watch the video of them recording it together.

      Early GenX here, the Bee Gees were the soundtrack of childhood, which never leaves you. Their music was the anchor of the film Saturday Night Fever w/John Travolta about the disco scene in New York which wasn't made til '78 and with their theme song for the musical Grease later on w/Tavolta they endured in the public consciousness deep into GenX formation, then of course as teens we rebelled against it, but still ove them.😅 They crossed genres of pop, soul, disco, & rock, helping create a soft rock genre behind them. Thx for the trip!

Whole lotta creativity and moving through musical barriers, marking new musical territory. I think it's cool that rap and hiphop have brought back poetry, but they're not lyrical-- I think it's interesting how this younger guy gets the power of lyrical, and live, and that makes me appreciate it more myself.

    AUTO TUNE was invented in 1997.
    These three Musical Geniuses recorded and released this track ~ 20 years BEFORE auto tune was even thought of...
    Sir Barry Gibb and his brothers gave us close to 50 years of pure magic - and their catalogue is beyond impressive.

    • @collinnicholasns
      @collinnicholasns 6 месяцев назад +20

      By the time auto tune was invented they already had 40 years in the business multiple number 1 albums, many #1 singles and had defined an entire genre of music. Asking them to use auto tune at that point would have been an insult.

      There's no musical instrument (at least in my book...) more beautiful and unique than the natural, human voice.
      Unfortunately, people in the business (who really don't know anything about music...) are only concerned with pushing their 'product' - a nice looking 'artist' that'll bring in the money for the label, whether they can actually sing - or not...
      And, the fact that this nonsense is added to 'older' albums by having them 'remastered' is beyond nauseating - as they sound nothing like the original recording.

    I'm 59 and this is the music I grew up on in the 70's & 80's. It gives me so much pleasure to see a young man of your generation really enjoy it. Thank you. You are tremendous! Your description of young love is priceless. Keep up the good work!

    Yes. I grew up on this. Notice there are no in-ears. They sang off of one mic listening to each other. No tune bending. It’s legitimately raw talent.

    I am so spoiled!! This is my generation of music. I actually thought this stuff was normal back then. Only as I got older did I realize just how epic our music really was.❤

    The Bee Gees are phenomenal musicians. Not only could they sing but they wrote, produced hit after hit for themselves and for many other artists.

    The Bee Gees still gives me goosebumps! They were one of the best groups! So many hits of theirs were on the top 10 charts. So proud to be a part of GEN X! Glad to see you enjoying this amazing song. Rollerskating on Friday & Saturday nights to the Bee Gees, Journey, Casey & the Sunshine Band, etc... was awesome. Bee Gees were classified as Disco I believe!
