➡ Check out my New Tool that makes learning Photoshop Elements Super Easy! Here is my video about it on my HTG Photo channel ruclips.net/video/-cJ2AviZNI8/видео.html
I really will get round to getting Elements+ - one day! This seems to be a far simpler way to adjust skin tones in particular compared to other techniques. Thanks, George.
You're welcome Peter, the Elements Plus Color Curves is also a great tool for setting white balance if you have a white/gray/black/ area in the photo. The only real drawback is that you can't adjust the color channels separately as you can in Adobe Photoshop but it is still a big improvement over the standard Color Curves tool that comes with PSE. And besides Elements Plus only costs $12. They don't have an upgrade plan for new versions but I go ahead and repurchase it anyway for each new version of Photoshop Elements. George
Unfortunately there seems to be a problem with the secure.shareit website, which is where Elements+ takes you to buy the product - 'secure.shareit.com’s server IP address could not be found'. Also, when I tried to download the demo the opening dialogue box showed the name of an individual with a Russian-looking name - Andrei Vasliiev Dubrovski IP. All this makes me a little distrustful about proceeding.
Peter, I just tried download the demo from the site listed above and it worked perfect. I think you will be amazed at what all Elements+ does and for only $12, it's a steal.
George, I use this tool all the time. It really gives you total control over curves, I like that there is also a mask that comes with it if I want to do something totally different like background vs skin tone or overall adjustment vs eye coloring I just mask out what I want to save or loose, often have to invert the mask to black and work it that way. This one thing makes elements + worth its weight in gold! Thank you for all you do! Rich
Thanks Rich, I will be doing more Elements Plus videos in the future and will be sure to include the masking functions. My main complaint with this Color Curves tool is that aside from the white balance eye droppers you really can't work on the separate channels individually on the same graph. You can select a color channel first in Elements Plus then use the curves tool but you have to do that for each channel individually which is less than perfect. But much better than the default tool. Also interesting that when you work on the different color channels separately the Auto and Options buttons work correctly in the tool but the tool does not create an adjustment layer like it does when working in RGB. No idea why the differences. I will be doing another video later showing how to use the different channels separately with the curves tool to adjust color. George
I have Elements+, but I don't really understand it, this is a good start, I wish you would do more of the Elements+ tutorials.... Your the best!! Thanks George
I just updated to 2019 from 2014 and purchased elements +. Unfortunately I'm getting an error with elements+ which can't be resolved. Somewhat disappointed as I was looking forward to the upgraded functionality.

I'll have to try downloading it again, then! Having seen George's assessment of the software it is something I feel I should have.

You're right Debra, I've had Elements+ for a couple of years now and this was new to me. Learned a lot from it.
Nice demonstration and explanation. Thanks

How is this different than the adjust highlight-midtone-shadow control?
Hi Johnny, this is adjusting the color values, the Highlight-Midtone-Shadow control adjusts the tonal values but not the color values
@@HTGGeorge Oh, I thought it adjusted tonal values. I was wondering why they called it color curves.
Is there no Color Balance tool? (Ctrl+B)
Elements Plus also adds in the Color Balance tool. It is not in the regular version of Photoshop Elements
Thanks. I will definitely buy Elements+ program.
Its well worth the price

@@HTGGeorge Yes, he has been very responsive. Wondering if the issue is because I previously had 2014 downloaded?
Hi, the plug-ins for earlier versions are separate so that should have no effect.
