- The Southern Eagle drum group perform a contest song at the “Dance of the Spring Moon” powwow in Maxton at the Lumbee tribe’s Indian Cultural Center on Sunday, May 8, 2016. Southern Eagle is made of 23 members from eight different tribes, Lumbee, Tuscarora, Mashpee Wampanoag, Catawba, Navajo, Lakota, Dakota and Hopi.

Culture is not a singular object, it's a set of values and traditions that bring people together. The Lumbee are mixed race people, like everyone. Talking crap online about an entire tribe of people is pretty disgusting ngl. Truth is, though, the discrimination they've faced from people like you have galvanized them for hundreds of years now and made them a powerful people, so I'm not exactly worried for them.
