  • I purchased my Tretinoin Acne Medication at my own risk on TaraSC.com! Please do your own individual research before deciding to purchase!
    More about Tretinoin:
    - Only use the medication at night
    - I use the product once nightly on clean DRY skin.
    - When starting the medication you might want to try every other night (or less) to slowly introduce the medication to your skin and minimize reactions
    - I started with the Tretinoin .05% cream and after 6 months advanced to the .1% Gel
    - The medication may cause skin peeling and breakouts as your skin adjusts
    - Moisturizer can be applied after application (I personally don't need to)
    - It is important to wash your face the morning after you apply it and to always wear sunscreen when in daylight.
    Thanks for watching love you guysssss!

    Hi Diamond, I was referred to your video from another RUclipsr. My question is as for the tretenion, being that your face is clear and you’ve pretty much has your experience with Tara skincare, would you recommend the company’s product, basically did you have any negative effects after you made the video? Also when using tretenion did you just stick to Cera ve cleanser and do you still use this cleanser ? Your skin is so beautiful & so are you, i pray for skin like yours ! 💕 I really hope you respond.

    I used isotretinoina oroctrex in 2014 it cleared my face and my skin peeled a little but it was doing its work and after one year of medication I stopped using it, years went by and I noticed that I was getting breakouts and some of my acne scars started reappearing darker, I think it just means that I need to restart using it but isotretinoina makes wonders.

      You might want to ask your dermatologist or primary care physician for topical Clindamycin .1% to go with it. I’ve used that before during the initial breakout stage and it helped. Kind of the same action as Epiduo (something to kill the bacteria and then the retinoid).

    • @happynails3379
      @happynails3379 7 лет назад

      Julie D You're actually NOT supposed to peel. Peeling of the skin means you're applying too much of the product.

    • @Bycandicejones
      @Bycandicejones  7 лет назад +5

      Julie D do not peel the skin just try your best to moisturize it and protect it with sunscreen. From my experience and from what I've heard peeling is normal while your skin adjusts but you can definitely use it less often and introduce it to your regimen slower to try and avoid side effects. However, if you are already peeling please try not to mess with it too much❤️

    I was told to use tretinoin in the day 15 minutes after washing my face. And clindamycin 15 minutes after washing at night. idk I just really want clear skin but dry skin is irritating as well.

      You need to wash your face, put the tretinoin cream on 15 minutes after your face is dry. Then the next morning just get any moisturizer that has Benzoyl Peroxide and apply it.

    Does it work for scarring?

    • @s0phi76
      @s0phi76 5 лет назад +1

      Yes, it increases cell turnover rate, meaning your cells are going to be multiplying at a similar speed to when you were younger, and it will result in peeling so that the top layer of skin is is taken off. I wouldn't necessarily say this works for scarring as in icepick or boxcar cars, but if you mean hyperpigmentation (the brown or red marks left by acne), then yes, it will take those away slowly but surely, as those are not deep like icepick scars, but are just an overabundance of melanin and are really only on the top layer or skin. If you're interested in taking away hyperpigmentation, I highly suggest using AHAs and BHAs. I've also heard some DIY things such as potato juice also work wonders - as potatoes contain something in them which lightens skin, therefore marks as well.

      @@s0phi76 I'm using it right now. I'm so depressed I usually take a shower and put the cream on for like 8hrs straight. But when I wash it off my face look horrible it's like the cream burnt my skin and make it worse and dry. This is so depressing for me. I got a lot dark spots yet I don't think this cream working for me. Do you think it's normal? Please respond 🙏🏽

    • @s0phi76
      @s0phi76 5 лет назад +1

      @@traplordso985 Like any other acne medication, your skin will get worse before it gets better. I was on it for almost 3 months and actually went off because the new acne being formed, the peeling, the dryness, just the bad feel of my skin while I was on it was not worth it and after 3 months I called quits, because I have graduation, a fashion show I am in, a trip to Hawaii and freshman year of college all coming up! I've calculated that a medication like tretinoin, generally, takes a baseline of 6 months to only begin really seeing results you like and you have to be dependant on it to keep good skin, which I found so unappealing from the beginning. I still am 100% with what I said before, it does what I say, but at a very slow speed! So, yes, it should be working for you but it is very irritating for sensitive skin, like mine, which you may have. In that case, its best to just put it on at night time on dry skin 20 minutes AFTER applying moisturizer. The moisturizer will give your skin a barrier, but will not dilute the tretinoin or give less of an effect, it is just a less harsh approach. If i'm being honest, i've decided to actually get on accutane so I don't break out anymore, but the second I got off tretinoin, my skin cleared back up. If you want my honest opinion, I would not suggest tretinoin. I think it is great, but it is really best for rejuvenating saggy, wrinkled skin and can really only get rid of things like hyperpigmentation VERY SLOWLY, and if you have medical acne, you'll have to stay on tretinoin in order to keep acne away. As for hyperpigmentation, there's a world of different approaches, which have significantly improved my hyperpigmentation since going off. This includes tamanu oil (which I HIGHLY recommend. You apply it after moisturizer before sleep and it does magic for fading any marks and spots.). I've tried rosehip seed oil, and it does not do much for me, but some people swear by it, and you can mix it with other oils you choose. Alpha hydroxy acids and beta hydroxy acids are also great approaches at hyperpigmentation. Like The Ordinary's AHA PHA peel, or perhaps just an AHA BHA infused toner. Lastly, there are always lasers and microneedling to fix hyperpigmentation and dark spots, which are all caused by an increase of melanin, skin pigment, and it is really only at the top layer of the skin. Please feel free to ask about brands and other approaches if you are still confused! :)

      @@s0phi76 Damnnn I really appreciate the fact that you willing to help. I'll be on accutane this month. But I doubt it will help with all these dark spots that I have. I used to have a lot of breakouts but they stopped like a year ago. Now my struggle is all the dark spots and some scars. I feel like they will never fade away. But I'll try the pannunu thing you said.

    • @s0phi76
      @s0phi76 5 лет назад

      @@traplordso985 haha tamanu, not pannunu, but close enough! And its no problem at all. I will also be on accutane this month too so we're twinning. And no, accutane really goes into your acne lesions to stop the production of excess sebum and oil. It won't help with the melanin your skin produces post acne mark :(
