They are the OGs so nice rifles but that isn’t to say it’s sad that Colt won’t be the company that Samuel would be proud of. According to Small Arms Solutions the company was an evil place to work at in the early mid 2010s. I’ve worked at companies that didn’t operate cohesively and it destroys the company. I’m hoping CZ does something special with the Colt brand. Sooo much potential
Colt's are the gold standard. Even the new ones. Anyone who says a Colt rifle is junk (new or old) shouldn't be allowed to speak publicly because they are maliciously misleading people. By the way may want to consider taking that ugly-a** magpul hg off of that 2013 that is a sin. Stocks I don't blame you. No offense.
I just wish they would quit cutting corners on the small stuff, which is what sells them. They make double on every firearm they sell but they keep pinching them pennies! And then they go bankrupt!! C-mon COLT!

My Colt M4 has a little lower serial # than yours and Colt shows it to be built in 2013. However the furniture is Blackhawk... Was Blackhawk a factory application like Magpul or aftermarket ? Thanks
Colt used a mixture of different furniture and parts during that time. There was a few different variants of the 6920. I've seen some with Blackhawk stuff and others with milspec furniture and Roger's super stocks.
I have a LE6920 Colt. Quality is pretty damn rough to be honest. I’ve got a Springfield Saint that blows the Colt away in terms of quality. I’ve also got a Daniel Defense that’s nicer. I’d go with BCM and PSA before anything Colt. I just got the Colt as a trade for a P320. Didn’t know anything about out em. Figured it would be a good base for a SOPMOD Block II build.
I used the Colt Sopmod 1 and the Sopmod 2 URGI on my deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan fantastic weapons and they never jammed in combat ever. That said the new colts are a bit over priced. Colt needs to fire that Marine Gen that lost them the contract. The FN M4's(that replaced colt) suck they rust and jam a lot they are no where nearly as well made as the Colts. Wish the military had looked into the colt Piston it would have been the best option. DD mk18 are also some of the best guns you can get, my 2 cents.
let my moon cut bolt slip off in a rifle a sold, non colt. Oops. Wish I still had it, it's what came in my colt. It was a semi auto but you don't see them. Collectable gone for nothin. Still have the rifle though.
Eh, it's not that Colt's are junk, it's just that the standard has been raised. A Colt AR15 is built to the TDP, which means it needs to cycle reliably and shoot at a minimum 4 MOA. That typically means that they're overgassed and comfortable for 300 yard shots. Also, for 14.5 and 16 inch barrels, they use carbine gas systems with Front Sight Posts and aren't free floated. If you try to put a bipod on the handguard, pressure will push the barrel up. Compare that to a modern AR: typically the accuracy is tighter. With a free float barrel, at minimum, you expect a 2 MOA group or less. With a 14.5 barrel, you can expect a mid length gas system that provides less recoil. Finally, if you get a free float handguard, you can expect a lot of rail space to add accessories to push further up front. It just depends on what you're looking for: if you're just looking for a reliable weapon that can shoot out to 500 yards on a torso (4 MOA = 20 inches, about chest size at 500 yards), Colt absolutely works. If you want extra items like: lower recoil, increased hit probability out to distance, shooting with a bipod, add additional items, then go for a higher tier rifle.
The older Colts are the ones looking for.. I’ve owned a couple of the newer ones and I can’t find anything in the performance.. I like the old roll marks .. soon has I can safely say up I’m buying the M4A1 .. Colts are a nice rifle for the money ..I’ve owned the Daniel Defense after shooting the DDM4 theirs no difference in Colts quality they both shot the same too many Of these companies charging you for the name… Now the LMT BEATS both Colt and Daniel Defense
Good Video. I’ve tended to build my own AR’s, but would like to get a Colt, “just because.” My local has the M4, but it’s just labeled ‘Carbine 5.56.’ Retail is $1099 plus 10% off at my store. Thoughts?
I would check to see what all parts have the "13629" cage code. If the upper receiver has it. Then I'd see no reason not to get it. They are excellent rifles!
Old colts are good gear. When they made their parts in house. except starting with that cheap expanse with the fake FA they started to fail. When the contract was lost, they started to fail especially Gen Keys. Hope CZ can turn it around but it will TAKE YEARS.. NO MORE COLTS. Try and get to the shop. rings for long time, machine picks up and says closed for holidays be back Jan 2... that wa on 5/16/24

People who hate on colt are either stupid collectors who will never be happy with anything or people who don’t have one because it’s “old fashioned,” or they heard they’re outsourced now, or blah blah blah. I have a DD and I’m honestly disappointed with it. It’s violently overgassed, has a milspec trigger, and no iron sights out of the box for 2 grand. Wtf DD?! Where as the Colt’s are all properly gassed, all come with iron sights, and at around $900-$1,300 depending on the model. Sure it has a milspec trigger, but it’s far less expensive than the DD rifles. There is 0 excuse for Daniel Defense to not at least put a Larue MBT-2S trigger in their rifles. These rifle are as good as BCM but still a couple hundred bucks cheaper than that brand. Y’all should look into the Colt EPR, it’s a fantastic, modern rifle and for the price it is as good as a BCM but cheaper, and it is certainly cheaper than DD!

My rifle has a mixture of Cage code and “ C “ markings. But I still love my Colt AR15A4
They are the OGs so nice rifles but that isn’t to say it’s sad that Colt won’t be the company that Samuel would be proud of.
No offense.
To each their own. If we all liked the same thing it would he a boring world wouldn't it?
Checks out Small Arms Solutions, he just had a video out on his Colt collection,
It was a eye opener , I seen it , they are not military grade anymore
@@wvdave771 ya really bad that Colt has went to shit
@@wvdave771 what makes the cr6920 not mil spec anymore?
@@countryfriedent I meant military grade
@@wvdave771Yes they are, Chris is wrong, they still follow the TDP
2 Beautiful Rifles !!!
I just wish they would quit cutting corners on the small stuff, which is what sells them.
They make double on every firearm they sell but they keep pinching them pennies!
And then they go bankrupt!! C-mon COLT!
Just my theory here. People who get paid by competitors of Colt spread these rumors of Colt being an inferior product.
Both of my issued colt m4’s in the Army had a lot of wobble… people who complain about that are complaining about nothing. It’s part of the government “charm” or somethin
Are the curent Colt 6920 still good?
I have a LE6920 Colt. Quality is pretty damn rough to be honest. I’ve got a Springfield Saint that blows the Colt away in terms of quality.
I’ve also got a Daniel Defense that’s nicer. I’d go with BCM and PSA before anything Colt.
I just got the Colt as a trade for a P320. Didn’t know anything about out em. Figured it would be a good base for a SOPMOD Block II build.
Colt makes the best ARs. The Gucci rifles are garbage made to rob you
what kind of forward grip is on the black one?
Looks like knights armament
My problem is the lower looks weird. The m4 profile barrel is stupid
Love Colt 1911 and for AR-15 they are hit or miss. With some modifications it becomes a functional rifle.
And exactly what modifications do you have to make for a colt to be a functional rifle?
Colts are not 4 moa 😂. Not even close my guy. They can land man sized targets at 600 meters all day long
Funny,I have the same identical 6920 and bought it about the same time lol
The older Colts are the ones looking for.. I’ve owned a couple of the newer ones and I can’t find anything in the performance.. I like the old roll marks .. soon has I can safely say up I’m buying the M4A1 .. Colts are a nice rifle for the money ..I’ve owned the Daniel Defense after shooting the DDM4 theirs no difference in Colts quality they both shot the same too many Of these companies charging you for the name…
Now the LMT BEATS both Colt and Daniel Defense
People who own Daniel defense say colt sucks.
You should have bought a real colt 6920 as your first or second carbine by about 2015 at the latest.
Buy It they are about 1500.00 in my area. They are excellent guns.
I have a cr6920 , it's a Delton with a colt logo
I have the flat dark earth and yeah the wobble totally bothers me.
Old colts are good gear. When they made their parts in house. except starting with that cheap expanse with the fake FA they started to fail. When the contract was lost, they started to fail especially Gen Keys. Hope CZ can turn it around but it will TAKE YEARS.. NO MORE COLTS. Try and get to the shop. rings for long time, machine picks up and says closed for holidays be back Jan 2... that wa on 5/16/24
There’s not a damn thing wrong with rosco barrels.
Not at all in my opinion
Especially not roscoe barrels, they also provide barrels for the military. There are too many people on the internet talking about things they don’t know a damn thing about
@@Nathan-zw7nq Absolutely true
Good info here 👌
People I know hate Colt because their brand new ARs got scratches all over from the factory. I guess colt doesn't care.
The old one also did. Colt tests each of their rifle so they will have some signs of use.
" out sourced parts?" And thay is why it's now considered JUNK... have a 2012 6940, a Spikes Tactical M4LE and now a BCM Haley Jack....no need for another Colt...
Not necessarily true. Lots of high end manufacturers use out sourced parts. There's only a few companies that make everything in house
@TheMilsurpMan I was being sarcastic...the AR community always finds ways to nit pick a literal 70 year old design that multiple manufacturers can easily produce as if the TDP was some secretive soup recipe! If you've ever seen posting on M4C website - anything less than a DD or Larue or Noveske will apparently blow up in your hands!
They aren't any better than they were in the 80's and early 90's. Overpriced for what they are.
I have a 90's HBAR Anda cr6920 , the 6920 is a Delton with a colt logo
I own a colt M4 rifle,

Colt sucks. The fact that they hate civilian sales should prove it. But hey, simp away.
You just learn that corporations are shitty or what?
New cr colts or junk.nothi g colt 6920le defense tcp mitlary spc only real made pony all.civl colt or made cheap no quality windon weaponry makes better quality then any fn new colts to.
AND it is a carBINE not carBEAN
The colt markets this as LE but the serial and the box shows it to be CR. Both, however, are great M4 clones and both use third party parts, including the barrels, bolt carrier groups, etc.. The Colt LE prefix is a bit misleading, but as I said, both are very nice.
Colt was the one all the others wish they were, maybe not today, but my 2013 configured le6920s are hands down absolute quality. I have a newer 13629 marked 6920 that seems good, granted I prefer my C marked older ones, but still quality. The same goes with other companies I have a couple bushys from Maine that are excellent quality, and we all know what happened after freedom group bought them. These are both beautiful rifles you have here, good to see.
