Once the level of food items such as pulses, cereals goes below a certain level I make a note of the same and refill them before they finish. After watching this video I will surely use kanban which will be a more effective way.

Good point, Divya. In Production Kanban, the number of Kanban cards is decided in advance. These Kanban cards circulate between the supplier and customer (assembler). One Kanban card per box of each item.

How big of a company can you run from a Kanban system before you would have to implement an expensive MRP or EPR system? Great video.
The kanban cards give the information to the supplier about what is required and thus overcomes the problem of overproduction.

Do we need to keep two bins for each material like stores?
Yes we need two bins for each material. If the item and quantity is small, we can put a partition in one bin to make it two bins and save space.
