This May - December relationship is a positive tribute to romantic connections with a large age difference. Men have been enjoying this for years but for women it has been taboo. Not anymore, times have changed.

Thank you for sharing your story. It reminds me of my marriage that I had with my beautiful and loving wife. She was 30 years older than I was, but she was the VERY BEST THING that has ever happened to me. Unfortunately, she passed away from an incurable disease three years ago. Beautiful I’ve known many marriages with similar situations and all have been married well over 30 years. In fact the one I went to the wedding he just passed she was 25 years older he adored her and had to really fight to overcome this family’s objections She left town he went to get her. Thank you for posting this beautiful story!! Since I divorced an abusive male when I was 46, I have mostly dated guys who are 20 or more years younger. I'm just living life, being happy. They approach me a lot. Online, in the grocery store, at church, at the gym or the park (I love the slides!) in airports. It surprises me, every time. I won't have unmarried sex, these guys really respect that. Not looking for marriage, either. I'm financially secure, emotionally & psychologically comfortable living alone. I think that because I'm always smiling, generally happy, secure, guys like that. I just love life.

@@KayKopit Thank you! So many people have difficulty understanding how I live happily single the way, I do. They are always longing for a man, thinking that having one will solve their problems. So, they pine away, sad, only dwelling on being lonely. If they would learn to be happy with their own company, live life, go to the gym or any other way to exercise, travel, smile, find their passion. If someone is meant to be in their life, it will happen. If they force & push & feel desperate, it will push people away who would otherwise see them as attractive.

My mother got married with my father in 1960 and she was 30 then and my father was 18, they were the object of critics and laughing specially women, that he is going to leave her pretty soon because the age difference, well, they stayed together to the end, my mother died last September at the age of 90 , my father still alive and he is 78 now.

I'm 56 and was in a relationship with a man 25 years younger for 5 beautiful years. Age was never an issue for us, I'd been married twice to men my age, but nothing compared to the connection I shared with the man I believed was my soul mate.
Eventually, pressure from his family to end the relationship so he could 'meet a girl, get married and have a family' became too much for him, and we both agreed it was time to let go and move on. That was only a month ago and I'm still broken.

My partner went overseas not long after we broke up, and we started talking about our relationship again. He told me that being away from his family's constant pressure gave him the space he needed to decide what he really wanted, and he wanted me. He said he loved me too much to let me go and that he couldn't see a future without me in it.

They loved each other and had 58 years of a happy marriage, that means, until my father's very last day. I know, I lived 20 years with them. The day before he died, he knew he was at the end of his road and told my mom how much he had loved her and had never been unfaithful to her physically or in thoughts. After his death, my mother lost all desire to live but survived him 11 years. She has joined him last year. She seems to have set a trend in the family. My sister is married to a younger man, and my daughter's second husband is 11 years younger than she is, both are very happy together. After my divorce years ago, I remained single, too busy with 2 kids, and teenagers can be very difficult, too busy with my career but also too choosy too. I wasn't prepared to make the same mistake again. Big surprise!!! Recently, have met a decent, courageous and respectful man and fallen in love with him, a man 11 years younger than me, and it seems my love for him is reciprocated, a widower with 2 lovely daughters. When I hear the word "cougar" it gets me very angry because it means more or less that we women with much younger men are predators. When for centuries, men have married, or not, much much younger women and nobody has ever found that improper or strange! One rule for the goose, one for the gander!!!

I was skeptical, he was not. I was in my 40s and he was in his 20s. I said no for 2 years. I reasoned the relationship out and told myself "exactly what do I have to lose". Good for you; and I say to the young brothers get that older loving; its 85-90 % as good as younger women; if you factor out hte firmness of body their is no difference at all between the feelings that older women produce on you as those feelings from younger women...
