I appreciate your info. I've been trying to reach Stephanie in savannah about making the transition to colonial. I towed 1 of their trucks the other day and the driver I towed was telling me about the job so I've found you while researching it lol. So I will hopefully be on soon.
Serious inquiry* I would definitely like to see your contract, u seem to know what your doing and im going down that same path just not trying to get screwed over. I'm otr right now about to transition to the hazmat/tanker side.
How much are your truck payments and insurance per week? I just got my hazmat and tanker endorsement last week, i currently drive reefer for Prime and im looking for a change. I have a year n 2 month experience
With my lease purchase my truck payment is $323/week. Insurance I pay annually, which is about $4500 for my bobtail insurance per year. I’m leased to a carrier and they cover insurance while my truck is working for them.
@@norfillyson when I was company in Jacksonville, I was at $21/hour. I moved to Ohio after we bought out an oil company up here. I make more money here than in jax
I’d contact colonial, their website drive4colonial.com should have the phone number. You can call and ask them about lease purchase and getting on with them. In my opinion Savannah is probably the best market to be in.
Unfortunately I don’t, however I would suggest joining some fuel hauling Facebook groups if you can. U.S. Gas Haulers is a good group to join and you could ask in there. My experience has mainly been on the east coast.
Enjoy your videos man. I have five years experience kicking the can over going into fueling hauling or not. But I dunno I suck at math lol and it just looks like something that you can screw up easily. How was it for you starting out?
It’s not bad at all. Starting out it was a lot of information, different loading racks have different procedures on everything. Different products to load and what octane or grade to load. As long as you write everything down and double and triple check, you’ll be perfectly fine. You can feel the fuel love around in the trailer but it isn’t near as bad as a smooth bore since most of our trailers have compartments with baffles.
Thank you for this video! I will save this for the future. I'm attending school right now.
Same hear

@DrtyDiesel how much were you making when you were a company driver at Colonial and why did you move to Ohio
@@norfillyson when I was company in Jacksonville, I was at $21/hour. I moved to Ohio after we bought out an oil company up here. I make more money here than in jax
@DrtyDiesel cool, thanx for answering. Was it hard to find housing
@@norfillyson yeah I lived in a hotel for a few weeks till I found a place for rent that was nice.
You know if they hire out of Chicago?
Need a winter coat under your hoodie I’m from Detroit brother it’s cold in the Midwest
I agree, I have some coming soon.
Hey boss I also live in Ohio, Columbus to be exact. Does Colonial have a terminal in this area where I could lease on to?
We don’t have one in Columbus but I mainly run out of Columbus. They could definitely lease you on if they have positions open here.
Hey good morning sir Jeremy how to Savannah Georgia how can I get on with colonial in Savannah Georgia with a lease purchase thank you

Do u own the tanker? If not, wouldnt it be worth it to buy ur own tanker? Get more percentage?
I don’t, and it would depend on the percentage increase. If the increase would be worth it, I would absolutely buy my own.
Most states don’t allow you to buy your own tanker
What company u leased on to
Do you have any info on Fuel hauling in Wyoming? Thank you kindly

Who do i contact for lease info
Send me an email at safety@baughmanlogisticsllc.net and I’ll send you the info
Not much profit. How many hours & month did you work?
Not sure, I don’t really keep track of hours worked.
Are you maxing out your 70?
Some weeks I did, but most weeks I run about 55-60 hours
Would you make more with your own trailer?
@@leaundraeshepherd9170 possibly. Most companies pay an extra 5-10% for pulling your own trailer. Ours doesn’t have that option yet.
Thanks for the response...I am considering doing what your doing...is it still good money?@@DrtyDiesel
@@leaundraeshepherd9170 it is. I still average 4500-5500/week after the companies cut.
Do you have fuel hauling experience before u come as owner operator
Yes, I hauled fuel for 8 years before switching to owner op
Cool. But why not tell us how much you paid yourself in payroll so we could take that into consideration with the numbers?
Or why not subtract your payroll from the expenses and give us that number?
That’s a good point. I pay myself $1200/week on my personal side.
Are you still hauling as an oo
What’s the name of the company?
I’m leased to Colonial Fuel & Lubricants Services INC out of Savannah, GA
Does this include taxes
It does not.
Is it local?
Yeah I work local
What kind of wet kit do you have on your truck?
I’m running a 3” Roper pump

where in ohio? im from lima area, live in savannah. didnt know they had work in ohio
Yeah man, colonial bought out Lykins Oil up here. I live near Wapak
68/32... thats ROUGH brother just sayin
Nah, it’s actually higher than industry standard for hazmat tanker. Most hazmat tanker companies pay 65/35, and I’ve seen a a few that are 62/38.
@@DrtyDiesel I get 75/25 in chicago area. Didn’t know it was that bad elsewhere tho Jeeze!
@@BigBlu22 if you’re getting 75% and don’t have to pay insurance or trailer fees or anything like that, then that’s damn good.
68% is the devil's work 😳
It’s above industry standard for hazmat tanker
Not your truck
Technically you’re right. It won’t be my truck until it’s paid for.
Just found your videos have a couple of questions for you is there way to contact you thank you for any help
