It's nice to notice that she doesn't only give corrections, but she guides the students in the process of applying them. They will go places with this kind of teaching 😊👏🏻
Ouch, but absolutely helpful! The (relatively) passive positioning, then moving the leg through the correct positions and pointing out the importance of the knee 🤙🤙🤙 make for a huge improvement of an already impressive presentation.

I love my pilates instructor bc she touches and moves my body to help correct my form. Maybe it's not for everyone lol but it is so insightful and creates such a deeper mind/body connection
I adore physical corrections, I know Atilla Moslygo does that and so does Sarah Marley! I know not everyone is comfortable with them and that's valid but they're soooo helpful for me and make me feel loved and like the ballet teacher has faith I can do the exercises correctly and beautifully and improve! 😅🤧🤧💕🩰
Physical corrections are the best because you really learn what it feels like in your body… The shape, the line, the muscles that are supposed to engage. Exactly where the placement goes. A call out to all Ballet Teacher! guide your students through moving their bodies for them. Touch their bodies, move their arms for them, move their legs for them, show them where their feet go… And do it through touch. Don’t be afraid!
it’s so much easier to pick up corrections when the person giving you the correction actually moves your body! as a young ballet dancer i definitely pick things up better when my teacher moves me! ❤
I have a detail fixation like this when i coach horseback riding for kids who are planning on or already competing. Its not just looks, technique= safety
In order to do this movement the essential thing is that your supporting side has to be strong and fully engaged all the time. Then your working leg can do the passé without the knee dropping or the body tilting towards the barre.
Good Lord!! I know they can handle it and I'm sure she isn't hurting them BUT, holy WOW, it looks crazy. Why do I feel like I was just bent like a pretzel?
Ahh I wish I was allowed to help my singing students hands on! We're not allowed to touch them! When I was learning it was so helpful to have my teachers give me corrections physically!
That’s so ridiculous that you can’t touch your students. First of all, it’s one of the best ways to learn. Secondly, all human beings need touch. Even if it’s just the lightest, most appropriate touch! Students need it, humans need it, we all learned best, and we all love best when we touch each other… Even just a little.
I heard it, it seemed to come from behind the camera, but I winced anyway, I have EDS so frequently dislocate and sprain for silly reasons. I frequently pop a hip out just standing up, just watching her getting her leg twisted made me wince, the crack was worse, but didn't sound like it came from her. If it did, she's got great game face. I would love to do ballet again. 🩰

Any sport you need a good teacher on. Sport are physical hence you need a physical correction. Instruments as well. Most hobbies even. So yeah don’t have any hobbies or anyone to teach you

Was I the only one who heard a pop.!!!!?! I LOVE ballerinas but it’s tooo hard and tough for me😢 Great Job to everyone who works hard there❤
Yes. You are. It's pointe shoes crack
ohhh ok!
I cringed when I heard the crack as my bones do that and it's very painful! I'm glad it was her pointe shoe ❤

Omg I thought that crack sound was her hip popping 😮 lol scared the crap out of me 😂
Qué bonito❤
My knee SCREAMED when she manipulated the leg backwards 😢
(then again I did dislocate my knee while dancing - stopped an entire day's worth of lessons because it was so bad!)
@@katmusswoodwind I hope you're recovered and stronger now!

Yay! Sabrina and Ella are in the dark blue Leos! Is Channing? Are they level 6 or 7❤
Я не представляю, что бы так показывали в России, там достаточно слов, что б ученик все сделал правильно.

My surgeon claims my titanium hip can do that.
