What kind of synth do you use??

That is a good question. I use a lot of different VST synth plugins on my DAW. in this particular track I had Tyrell N6 doing the heavy lifting and I had Zebralette in there too. Both are very solid synths. For the bass track I was using LB 302 which I have only just discovered does a good job for the bass but has a simple interface. Normally I would use Memorymode from Cherry Audio. Then I just layer some effects over them and see if I can get a sound I like or some weird frequency to come through.
Or clone the track and make changes on both tracks so they sound interesting together
The Midi interface I use is the Alesis Qmini keyboard. I'm on a tight budget with spatial restrictions so It gets the job done.
The rest of any sounds would be from using physical instruments and mangled sound samples.
What kind of synth do you use? your piano sounds so good.

@norfullfing music on a budget dude I get it. I was wondering what you used for your bass because it has a rich full sound. What kinda DAW do you use? I didn't realize you used so many different things to create a song, I haven't heard of any of those. I use two things to create all of my songs. Reaper as my DAW, and my Juno DS88 synth. I'm operating all of it on my 2012 MacBook Pro lmao definitely outdated but feels like it hasnt aged at all. Its modded tho. Check out the Juno DS, comes with 2000+ sounds and you can even download expansion sound packs. Maybe I'll make a video for you on all the different things it can do. Not to sell you on it, but it was one of the best life decisions I've ever made. All my sounds come from that synth alone with the exception of vocals. The only thing I have issue with is bass, but I'm not sure if it's my DAW or the export that messes with the quality and pitch. I think it's one of the best priced synths for what it can do. It's still expensive, but for everything it has and is capable of, it's among the best. Definitely a high end low budget synth. I'm still learning about its capabilities, and I've had it for about 3 years. I made a payment plan and paid it off in 18 months on Affirm. Just saying, I'd love to see what you could make on a machine like that. Lmao sorry don't mean to rant about it but it's one of my favorite possessions. Worth the sacrifice. I bought my Mac for like 100 dollars, and Reaper is free for 60 days all access, then after its like 50 dollars once for a license to use. A small price to create potentially limitlessly. I'm gonna check out these plug-ins you use. Definitely the bass one. I appreciate you answering dude, thank you

@@_afracturedmind_ So with the Bass I get one track set up and sounding the way I like. I then clone the track. I then use a plugin called fundementalbass on both tracks. the first one I will boost the bass a little. the second track I will take out everything except the sub frequencies.
I use LMMS at the moment and it gets a bit tricky sometimes.
tried it on linux and managing sound devices was a pain. so running it all on my desktop windows box.
Ill have to try make a list of the stuff I use. I generally grab anything that is on special or discount when they come up but I do have my favorites. humblebundle.com is good. lots of sound packs and plugins cheap when they put them on the site. I do have some spare licenses due to multiple specials etc...
gotta say apple does have some good hardware for art and music. I think the pitch issues you are having is with the youtube compression on the vids? I mean do the tracks sound the same on soundcloud and youtube if you compare them?
I try eq-ing the tracks to try and get everything into the same sort of range but I prefer the noisy messyness of it all.
Just checked the Juno out on roland.com. very nice. I'll investigate it further. I try to include stuff I have physically made as well. I built my floyd rose guitar and have built a few pedals now.
Thank you for sharing your setup! and I would definitely be interested in seeing a vid about it.
