Our oldest loves the game. We’re tight on space and love a good multipurpose custom build. Jeff hand selected the poplar, maple, and hickory for this board. In this video Jeff breaks down the process into an easy to follow process with only using limited tools. We found the butcher block premade and on sale at Home Depot. This slab was $170, and saved us loads of time and money:)
Feel free to watch as we continue to learn and experiment while we build our dream home mostly off grid in the middle of nowhere! There is sure to be more epic projects like this one if you stick around and watch:)

How does the leg do with the weight of the table?

Weight hasn’t been an issue. The length has caused some slight teetering. Would do better with a shorter table length or 2 bases (one on each end) Works for what we need, and makes higher it and lowering so easy!!

@@forrestschmoker6317 looks like the price has gone up. We only paid $300, which is still an expensive table leg…… but it was worth it to us for ease and versatility.
