This album is definitely in my top 5 gizz albums. So damn good.
KG is kind of the full Microtonal version of an Oddments, Gumboot Soup (which has 2 Microtonal tracks) and Omnium Gatherum. I don’t listen to these albums front to back as often as other Gizz albums, but all 4 of these albums mentioned feature some of my all time favorite Gizz tracks
i could be off on this but i recall hearing that stu wrote honey as a ode to his wife i think they were newly married at the time
FYI in English Quebec we say "scarce" with the "scar" pronounciation rather than "scare". A genuine interesting question!
On Intrasport being about the Altered Beasts. The Name IntraSport refers to Hunting within your own group for sport, they also mention thier Hand is on the gun & the dreams about killing people. The rest of the Lyrics are about thier old body falling away as they evolve into something greater. The Beasts represent all the bad things humans are doing to ourselves. The Music vid also shows a person slowly becoming separated from thier old group until the rest join him in the end.

Straws sound really live because of how they recorded the guitars. It's like they were in the middle east or Africa and wondered into a village and came across some local folk playing this tune so they whipped out their smart phone to capture it.
I think Minimum Brain Size is about social media and people raging out online against each other. It reminds me of Twitter/X.
To me it’s another one of the covid political ones particularly about trump. Saying both that his support is weaker than his cult of personality thinks. And then the ending fits with Trump getting voted out, saying that they don’t have a say anymore really fits.

I tack KG and LW together into one bigass double album playlist and in that context, to me, it's truly the biggest and best gizz gets.
