- This video we are taking a Cessna Caravan (Susi Air Livery) for some extreme bush flying in the remote regions of Papua, Indonesia. This is somewhat inspired by the show: "Worst Place to be a Pilot".
Edit: Airport is WADJ not WADI as said in the video
Airports (in order): WAYB, WADJ, WABA, WX53, WANL, WABJ
Specs:
CPU: i7-1750H
GPU: RTX 2060
16 GB RAM
Texture pack: www.msfsaddons...
Just started playing this on Xbox, having a lot of fun bush flying, so much more fun than flying airliners.
Great video, you nailed all those landings. 👍🏻 fly safe.
Xbox; well I'm glad you've discovered the joy of, flight simulation but, if you're really interested in this endeavor, you need to properly acquire the right tools for the job, mate.
Awesome video 👌 love the Bush flying in MSFS now, what an amazing simulator. I've been flying in South America in mountains and valleys, fighting turbulence and challenging approaches.

Dude that first landing so SICK!! EDIT of course: Damn son every one of those is gold!
That is amazing! Excellent scenery. After flying FSX I’m now so tempted to buy a good gaming PC and get MSFS 2020. Amazing!
Scenery looks really awesome and even a little tense coming to land at some of these airports. I've watched a few vids of the region but I'm really curious about how it looks in another tropical area - the Caribbean. Islands like Dominica or St.Lucia with its famous twin mountains(Pitons)
The Maldives looks a bit bad sad to say. I think polishing up the smaller cities a little bit and some of the islands could do wonders. I think Islands are hit a bit hard by this method. They also have a loot of scenery that isnt reworked into 3d so flat harbours and boats under water and such. Close up the Canary Islands looks horrible with bad bridges and tunnels but if you fly above it looks great. So not all islands are bad but some are not great. Im certain with uppdates and polish much of this can improve.
Damn... youre a really skilled pilot! Love from the Netherlands!
Nice Flyin Mike!
Thanks Doug, enjoyed your top notch bush flying
I would love to get started on it. What we need are a few cabin objects, campfire, canoe, etc. Then perhaps I could start putting in the USFS cabins and that would be something for us to "go find and look at". The other problem is the lack of floats and the VERY POOR water RESPONSE (wakes, splash, etc). I'm sure FS2020 will be fixing the effects for the water ... it is SO DARNED GREAT, yet it doesn't RESPOND correctly to an object. They will fix it. The ICON would work for now. But the objects are the hold-up. I'm also betting somebody is going to come up with an "IS3" type program that will get around the SDK. I know ADE is already working on a prototype. When that gets to us, then I'll attempt to start adding the cabins. If you will recall Holger Sandmann started with the USFS cabins. Nice of you to ask.
Hello from indonesia
great video mate really enjoyed it been loving doing some bush flying myself in the sim
This is awesome...more flying over papua indonesia pls
Nicely done!
Way to handle the large 208 - pretty tight. The xcub would’ve been my choice. We need a U206G. My old computer crapped out. Saving for a new one but bush flying is all I want to do.
Yes the 208 was perhaps beyond it’s limit. I reckon a Pilatus PC-6 porter would have been a good one for this type of flying.
AWESOME FLYING, awesome scenery I enjoyed a lot your video, can`t wait to fly to those airports :)
Awesome video dude. Just whack on ya middle MFD before start up to simulate , torque, ITT etc. Subbed
Great video I'm always looking for new places to fly and if you haven't tried WABJ I very strongly suggest it if you want a challenge
Nevermind it was the last airport you landed at
Been flying the C208 for a month in MSFS2020 and FSEconomy and this is the first time I even heard of reverser :D Gonna have to find out the control config because that would've been a life saver a lot of times.
This sim is fantastic and your piloting pretty good, too.:)
Nice flying. You should put some flaps in on those take offs. It will get you off those short runways faster.
Like your vids...I dont have a simulator, so I was wondering how do you get the great shots on video? Do the sims have video recorders? or you record on another software? Very interesting.
Really cool video
wow amazong , but i havent fly in papua only sumatera 👍☺
i’d love to see you make this video again after the second patch. it would be really interesting to compare.
goal ski what difference would the second patch make?
Tom Eason i believe they are modifying the stopping distances of the planes, to make them more realistic. some of the planes should take a lot longer to pull up.
When in 2nd patch?
Sebuah they said in next 10 days and that was a couple of days ago.
Looks like a hell of a lot of fun 🤩
Great video, that's exactly what I have been looking for
Loved it
cant wait for vr support
Nice video!! but whats the ICAO names on last 2 airports??
Sorry I missed the info in text..:-)
great video mate. earned a sub
I Wonder why the American Microsoft develpers decided to give to ASOBO a German software maker to make the new FS2020 . Does your Flightsimulator still work after the mandatory update on June 2021 ? I am asking because my does not.
Can someone tell me is when FS2020 comes out in VR will have Leap Motion support??.if not, can someone ask the developer to do so. Thanks.
Nice!
Ryan, what have you started? 🤣
Looks like the locals didn't cut the grass. Dogs, pigs or small children could be hiding in the foot tall grass... You should have done a flight by first to scared them off before attenting to land.
i imagine the real life versions of these strips probably dont have trees right at the ends like that, or theyd at least prune them down
enjoyed this, great video !
well, new patch is out! any chance of doing this again and comparing stopping distances?
Hello i am from Indonesia
Great video!
show us the wonders of Bora bora
How do you have the weather configured, especially the wind layer, the turbulence looks very realistic? can you share the configuration? Thank you
Hi Martin, the weather was developed from the ‘few clouds’ preset. I manually adjusted the altitude and coverage but that’s it, the wind was kept default! If you want to replicate the turbulence experienced you can change the wind direction so that you are flying downwind a hill, which will really make it turbulent.
Excellent video! Exactly what I was looking for. I’m able to find all the airstrips except for WADI. Are you sure that’s the correct code?
Chuck Sadler Glad you enjoyed the video. I believe the airfield is actually “WADJ” it is a beautiful strip, enjoy the flying!
I got WAYB. WADI. WABA. And don’t think you gave the last two. Could you confirm all 5 for us?
Hi Doug, I’ve added all airports in order in the description, here they are: WAYB, WADJ, WABA, WX53, WANL, WABJ
@@FogSim Hi Mike, I just flew the ones I knew about ... those are FUN!!!! Now I will fly the whole route. I used a 152 and seemed to live through it. I'll be watching for these backcountry bush flights. I run the Return to Misty Moorings website and we are used to a lot of backcountry water landings in Alaska, these are VERY different and a lot of fun. Thank you for sharing.
Doug Linn Hello Doug, good to see you here. Long to do some of the old RTMM flying in MFS. Are you intending to port over some of the scenery, especially “Misty’s Place”?
Im from papuan
How do yo hide the UI in external camera?
fs needs a replay feature
Definitely!
madlad
does fs20 have a replay mode like xplane?
Unfortunately not, but I believe there are plans to add it in at a later date.
@@FogSim damn, it wouldve been cool to see what these landings looked like from outside
Likeeeee. Show
