First , you and your boyfriend work really good together. I admired his work and his willingness to stay with the project until you both reached agreement of approval, and throughout until completion of the project. Job very well done! Great Team Work. The project was easy to follow- and that's because you made it easy with your video commentary...because of that another DIY'er will not be afraid to attempt a project as such...overall , in the end I love the upscale, sophisticated look with the beautiful colors & finishing products that was used. Good luck with your wash stand project! Thanks for watching. I wanted to capture a true DIY of what goes on behind the scenes. Not just the edited perfectly captured best moments. We had a few frustrating bumps in the road. Next we will be redoing my daughter’s bathroom vanity. She wants one like mine now! Haha! I already have an antique dresser picked out. Once you do one of these successfully it’s fun to look around your house and think “oooooohhh what if we redo this one now!” I love how unique they look.

@@ardismedia4139 Oh good call on your part! Once you do it once (make a vanity out of a piece of furniture) you’ll feel more confident to do another one. What made me feel insecure was the plumbing but now it makes sense to me. That’s also why I included that in this video. I wanted to capture how we hooked it up and how we had to troubleshoot it at times.

@@ardismedia4139 I learned so much with this project. It’s just a great example of sometimes you just have to leap in and get your hands dirty. Probably the most important thing is you need to be OK with making mistakes and having to try again. Clique sounding I know but it’s how we learn.
Dont feel bad about using that according hose and fighting the leaks we did the same thing in our kitchen remodel nightmare watching your channel because I want to use a antique dresser as a vanity in my half bathroom
@@sweetjesusbyfaith3988 Since this video was uploaded, we also did my daughter’s bathroom and we had to use the accordion hose attachment again. It’s the only thing we have found that works for us. No leaks in either bathroom. *fingers crossed. We’ve repurposed two old dressers into vanities and absolutely love how they look!
Well done looks fantastic! If I were you I’d seal around the outside of your sink with silicone to stop water splashes hoping under and sitting there, just an extra safety
Thank you! Yes shortly afterwards we sealed the sink with clear silicone. Great recommendation!
How did you reinforce the cut-out back sections? It looked like you only used glue?
Terrific job btw. Not only in terms of the end product, but also in how you explained the process.
I reinforced those areas with Loctite Power Grab. Works great!

@@CynthiaCzerwonka Thank you for watching! My bathroom vanity is still standing and better yet, no leaks! You should go for it! We have since redone my daughter’s bathroom as well. We repurposed a GORGEOUS antique dresser for her vanity.

Did you sand between top coats or wasn’t necessary with the nylon booty method? Thanks!
Sanding between coats varies from project to project. Sometimes I need to do it and sometimes I don’t. With this particular topcoat and project I had a few dust nubs that I had to sand down. When I say sand, I mean lightly feather sanding in between coats, using 400 grit sandpaper, wrapped around a felt block.
