Excellent explanation. I am going to check the relays and fuses first. I recharged my 02 Accord and the ac worked for a while then it's stopped working. thanks.
Both fans on my accord are on and when I turn on the ax the compressor turns on as well but it’s still not cold. It blows air but it’s only about room temperature or a little higher.
You either have low Freon or your cooling fan isn’t working. My accord cools a little until I start driving. Then it cools down. Guessing the wiring need to be checked.
@@youngsq5502 No, I need to troubleshoot the issue. Need to follow the path from the fuse to the compressor. I suspect it's the connector, connecting the fan to the compressor.
With me when I turn on my car it’s a 50/50 chance it will turn on and sometimes it doesn’t and when it doesn’t turn on right away it usually takes a couple minutes for it to turn on and sometimes when it is on it stops working then turns on again (but air is coming out but it not cold or hot air)
Same here. My climate control now turns off 80% of my drive time or more. It comes on intermittently. Air will continue to blow but when the light turn off I can't change the mode, the buttons don't respond. When the lights turn back on and the climate control is on, everything works. But when it's on and I change the air flow mode sometimes it makes everything turn off again. I'm hoping it's a fuse issue, I think it may be my relay, but il check that compressor connection
@@spaceindian3769 no unfortuantley not. I did replace the large relay under the hood, shown in the video. I think its the either the AC connection cord that he highlights in the end of the video. or maybe its the switch under the dash to the right of the gas pedal. There is a switch that controls the air settings. I havent bothered to fix it yet. Please let me know if you find a soloution.
I noticed the cooling fan on the condenser side is not working does this matter when it comes to cooling? How do I tested to see if is working properly? Thanks good video
Great job. I followed your steps and found out that the compressor is working (both parts) as you mentioned @ 3:30 Of the video... still no cold air. Please advise me if I need to replace the whole compressor w/clutch or what? Thanks
When I press the button for the circulation for the AC along with the AC button, my AC cuts off within minutes, but when I hit the button for the arrow going out side of the car to bring in fresh air, the air condition works. I change the radiator. I change the cooling fans. I change the temperature sensor and the thermostat and I’m still having this issue. I will check the fuse next do you think that could be what it is , also, I fell with Freon and for some reason the coolant backs up into the reservoir and I don’t know why, so that’s one reason why I replace the radiator because I had a leak but I’m still getting the same problem with the air condition. Please help I appreciate the video you made
So... my condenser fan yellow 20a fuse was in fact shot. I replaced it. And checked that all relays are working properly. So now all the fuses are good to go but still no ac? Also... the compressor was replaced but never turned over because of the bad fuse.
Thanks....just a series of possibilities. Everything was working fine, the other day I turned on the heater for I minute. Now, nothing but hot air comes out. Serves me right, I violated one of my life policies........DONT TOUCH ANYTHING !!
Thanks for the info, you helped me locate and troubleshoot my relay. I'm having kind of a strange issue with my 2001 Accord coupe 2.3, while installing a car stereo years ago I dropped a mini flashlight down my center air vent. After failing to fish it out and no effect on ac performance or under dash noise i kind of forgot about it. Recently I had my system serviced (vacuumed down and recharged to proper level) and everything worked fine, ac blows cold, but after driving for about 5 miles there was a pop or click sound from inside the cabin and the heat begins to pour through the vents. If this is a blend door issue could it be caused but a rogue flashlight rolling around somewhere in my system? Or is the pop/click sound before the ac goes hot something directly related to the blend door? Thanks in advance for any advise.
Check the blowing direction of the cooling fan. it should be blowing into the car. if the fan is blowing in opposite direction, alter the wiring of the fan. Also, check the connection from the relay to the compressor. That would fix your problem
2002 honda accord. All fuses good. All relays good. No power to compressor or condensor fan. I can jump compressor with a probe at relay. Compressor engages but fan does not. I have 4.5 volts from my 2 wire AC pressure switch and one side dead. If I ground the hot wire then both engages. Any ideas?
yes i did! so the plug on the back of the fuse panel was broken and loose. I plugged it in tight and ziptied it tight so it wouldnt come off....never had a problem since then, good luck@@cxf5512
So this is stumping me same car checked all the fuses and relays and they are all fine but found the fan bad once replaced the AC light keeps flickering and the relays for both fans are constantly flickering while AC is on. If anyone has any hints i would appreciate it.
Awesome video! My Accord blows air and all but the ac dashboard lights won’t turn on, therefore I can’t choose between “ac” or the vents for the air to come out of… nightmare to drive in the Utah summer 😂
@@ryanbeseth9814 I tried a different dashboard, bought another (used) on eBay, installed it but the very same issue was still there… I sorta abandoned the project since then… luckily we have a family van we drive around with good ac, otherwise I would probably take it to a Honda dealer to fix it. My accord 98 sometimes works sometimes not. ac. I think it is a electric problem when is working every thing works fine
is it the lights coming on and off randomly if so did you ever figureit out

Ruled out the fuses, relay and still can’t get any response. I’m on to the control panel.

How do u release some pressure

yup sounds like the light is blocking the blend door actuator from working. the splines on the motor that plug into the gear is likely popping.

What about my control panel, it doesn’t cut on at all. Is there a fuse for that ?

Both my fans don’t spin when AC is on, and the AC blows hot air on cold setting. I already tried switching the fuses any other tips?
Question is. When that ac relay connector on the compressor is bad. How can we fix it ?
Awesome job thanks
Does both fabs have to work for your ac to properly work ?
I have no power to my 7.5 fuse in the drivers side fuse panel. Where does that fuse get its power from? Do you have a schematic for it?

What will cause the AC clutch to stay engaged all the time
When i turn the blower the ac turns on as well, even if i turn off the ac nothing happens my ac compressor is still working any idea?
My clutch works by jumping the relay and my relay is good what else could cause it not to in gauge

So I have changed the horn fuse with the AC relay and nothing works. I put the pliers in the AC relay and it worked what do I do?

It's likely to be an issue with the clockspring or the horn button itself
