My MX922 gave me the B200 code and was worried the fix would cost more than the $320+ I paid for my Canon. Fortunately, you took the time to share your experiences with anyone interested and your fix worked the first time. Like you, I don't know how long it will last, but given the fact it's working again is a wonderful thing. Thank you very, very much for your help! I had the prior MX printer for over 8 years, and finally had issues with it. I replaced it with my MX922. Something tells me if I would have searched RUclips I may have found a helpful video like yours and I might still be using it. Best wishes and continued success both professionally and personally!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. Anyone who comes across this video, this is a TRUE testimony. IT WORKS but it may take a few tries to reboot the printer after cleaning. Keep reading here. We followed the cleaning instructions to a T, reseated and restarted the printer (we had to slide the tray manually as the printer did not center it as shown on the video but, hey, it worked). Then started it up, everything looked fine, sent a document to be printed ... and then ... B200 error again. Aaarghhh. Took all the ink cartridges out, removed the print head, re-seated it, put everything back together again, and after a few minutes, the printer was fine. Fingers crossed, we did a test page, waited what seemed like an eternity of whirring and humming and self-adjusting, and finally it printed a test page. It was not perfect, some printed lines weren't quite aligned. BTW, MAKE SURE your ink cartridges are not nearly empty. But I tested it with a regular Word document, and it worked perfectly or rather, just as imperfectly as before the B200 error. Our printer is nearly 7 years old, and given the longevity of electronics these days, I'd say that's pretty darned good! MUCHAS GRACIAS, if you don't have one yet, you deserve an "ECO Hero of the Century" badge!
Thank you so much for your video. I would have had absolutely no idea what to do or even where to find the print head. You are a genius mate!~ It is now 20 minutes later & I have rinsed the print head in warm water, reassembled the printer & it works perfectly. You have just taught an 80 year old a new trick. Thanks a million!!!
A most helpful video,. Thank you so much. I followed your instructions and had complete success. I did not need to use the alcohol, but rinsed the component many times in water. I then dried it with a hair drie and left it for two hours. It has worked perfectly. I am 82 - even older than your last contributor, but I hope a lively - and am very grateful.
Second time Ive had to remove the printhead to unclog it. This video is so much faster and easier than reading through printed instructions which I did the first time which was almost two years ago. The lesson for me is that I need to do a cleaning through the printer maintenance function occasionally.
OMG! We had 2 Canon MX922 printers with the B200 Error and we watched this video, followed instructions in removing the print heads and swished them in warm water until the ink stopped flowing out of the heads. We let them dry over night. Now both printers are working perfectly again!! We are so delighted! Thank you so much for this video to help us get our beloved MX922s back to functioning! We were surprised how easy the print head came out and went back in. Super advice for all of us!!! Thank you so very much!!!
I followed your instructions and it worked, the B200 error is gone and she is printing again! I did notice that my black printer cartridge would not release ink initially (PGBK 250XL), so I did a cleaning of the ink jet nozzles multiple times solving the issue. Everything is working great again, thank you so much for this video!
Brilliant thanks. By far the best advice on B200 error on utube . Clearly spoken, demonstrated, and logical. Worked for me after trying everything. Soaked printer head overnight and flushed with warm water. Dried off in draft of open fan oven. Others give ridiculous advice such as taping off electrical contacts and losing colour printing!
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! We checked out your video because of the title! Our printer has had this error for a while, but then I HAD to print something out😬! We spent over an hour trying to get it to work and then we saw the video-we were about to unplug the printer, load it in the car and take it on our next dump run and "Canon MX922 Inkjet Printer B200 Error | 3 Things to Try Before Throwing It Away" saved the day!😁
This was a real pain in the a... but after three days cleaning the printhead with different things, finally I was succesful by usin a detergent that the Dollar Tree sells for $1.00 called Wow, then I put it back and didn't work, so I put new ink and didn't work either. When I was about to give up I try the method of opening the cover and the ink cover and waiting for the cartidges to go to the left, I did that twice and didn't work but then and pray and did it again and it worked. Praise God. I didn't want to spend money in a new printer. Thank you very much.😀😀
Well done video. It was clear and easy to follow. I wanted to add my success story to the list. I was getting the B200 error with my MG6320 and I washed the print head twice: warm water followed by IPA soak - ERROR - warm water, IPA again - SUCCESS. (The MG6320 takes 6 cartridges, but otherwise very similar.) On the second go, I took a Q-tip and very gently wiped the pins in the printer that contact the print head. As an aside - IPA is NOT rubbing alcohol. Rubbing alcohol contains oils and does not dry residue-free. I should add, too, that IPA is a desiccant. It will absorb the water and speed the drying process.
I have to say thank you for this great fix video for my Cannon MX 922 printer. I replaced all the ink cartridges first. No fix with this move. Then I tried the opening the document cover, and the ink cover. I waited until the ink cartridges moved to the left. I shut the cover, and on the first attempt the B200 error code was gone, and my printer rebooted! A very easy fix, and a well done video on the removal of the B-200 error code on the Cannon MX 922 printer
YOU ANGEL! I have had this printer for over 10 years. This is the first time it's ever done this before. So happy I found this video of yours online! Worked like a charm.
Thank you!!! I have the printer Canon MP620. I did the following advice from your video: lifted the top cover, then lifted the ink are cover, turned off the printer, waited a few seconds, then turned the printer back on and as soon as I heard the ink cartridge move, I closed the first cover and then the second cover, and waited for the printer to finish booting up. (I forgot to remove the ink) And it worked!!! I don't have the error anymore!!! Thank you so much!!!
Fantastic video!! May I add as a tech that should you use isopropyl alcohol--which is a great idea--use lab grade 99.9 percent formula. It will dry much faster and won't damage the green copper point electrical contact board. This is the first video that I've seen that thoroughly explains a common problem with Canon printers. Excellent.
@@barbaramcstowe5840 Hi Barbara-so sorry to get back to you so late- the print tray comes out with a bit of fight- pull up and then out. If it feels ridiculously resistent, then let me know and we will figure it out. My machine is a Canon MG 5520 what is yours?
@@firecatfly Thsnjs for your reply. My machine is an MX922. I tried a lot to pull the ink tray out but am afraid of braking it since it’s so resistant. Today I have several low ink messages so maybe fresh ink will help but I’m a bit doubtful. The clean out method seems to make a lot of sense.
@@barbaramcstowe5840 Barbara. Same issue. If necessary, the ink cartridge carriage can be moved gently, manually, in order to position it for ink cartridge removal and releasing the "gate" for print head removal. Closely examine both edges of the carriage and adjust its position, manually, to insure clearance for gate opening. It's a short pull and releases with a pop. I had to review the video several times, transcribe the steps and move each part (with the aid of good lighting, strong reading glasses I use for tying fishing knots and use a magnifying glass) to truly understand what must be done. Don't give up.
My MX922 was giving me the B200 code. I really did not want to switch printers and there are no printer repair shops locally since I live in a rural area. Thankfully, I found your video. Thank you for sharing. You saved me a lot of time, trouble and money.
I was skeptical but am now a True Believer. The second method so far has worked... I will forever be grateful. I was avoiding this task but now am so happy.
You are the real deal! I've watched so many RUclips videos to try fix the B200 error message, which did not work...until I found your video, and your perfectly explained tricks worked as a charm and my Cannon is back to live. I can return the new purchase back now. I am very Grateful T4b!
I bought this printer back in 2013 for $135. I love it and hope it never craps out but now I have that dreaded B200 error. I'll let you know what happens after I carefully clean the print heads. After cleaning my old printhead, it still didn't work. Ordered a new one and installed it. Now my Canon works again. Only cost me $30.
It works! Required a lot of rinsing and soaking in warm water and 99% iso and water again to clean the head sufficiently. Dried, re-installed, got a B200 code. Crap! Tried a Deep Clean; ran outta yellowing black ink. Crap! Replaced yellow and black, did a "Clean," then a Deep Clean, and voilá! It works like new. Thank you so much Baba! 😀
I am still using my Canon MX922 does this printer have a toner cartridge that needs to be replaced occasionally? Thank you for the info on cleaning the print head.
Had the error, did all the other hacks with no luck, bought a used one to save $$, that failed too, bought new printer, turned on MX922 to get old ink out then for some reason it started working after I powered back up. Worked for a few months then B200 error again. Just saw your video. YOUR METHOD WORKS! Now I have this and a new printer since I kept the new one thinking MX922 could fail anytime. 😅😅😂
These directions and the video were perfectly clear. I didn't have the B200 error, but the printer kept saying it needed service. This solution seems to have worked. I was worried that the cartridges would dry up overnight, but they are working fine. Thanks so much!
I want to thank you for the clear instructions and video on how to remove the printhead, clean it and put it back in place. Previously I had the printer do a self cleaning, which helped briefly. When it stopped working again, I watched your video and followed your instructions. Hope that it continues to work. If I run into the same problem I know what to do now. I appreciate your excellent instructional video.
Thank you for these tips. I had already cleaned the printer head but still had the B200 error. Your trick to catch it during boot up to run maintenance & head cleaning was sheer genius, It worked for me. You just saved me frustration to the nth degree + at least $339 (Amazon) for a replacement unit. I have subscribed and look forward to more of your GENIUS! (Chicago)
I cleaned the print head and still had the error. I then did the first hack of resetting the cartridges when turning on the printer and that worked! Awesome. Thank you so much!!
Can't thank you enough. I had to watch through a few times and then follow step by step, pausing the video as I went along. But I now have a working printer! And now that I know it works, it will be a lot easier and less anxiety-causing if I have to do it again.
I still can't believe it but method 2 WORKED!!! Not only I fixed the dread B200 error, but now the printer, after the water cleaning, prints better than before! You saved me A LOT of hassles, you're an MVP!!! THANKS!!!
You are amazing! I searched everywhere to find out how to pull the head deck out. you are amazing. the head soaked in water for few hours in robbing alcohol all night and now drying - all the housing is white like brand new! Thank you soooooo much!
Thank you SO SO much for your help. This MX922 gave this error code EXACTLY five years since I bought it. Coincidence? I think not. I think it’s designed to crap out so you will buy a new one. I hope it keeps working and many thanks for the tips. Cleaning the print head is so easy!
Just got the dreaded B200 Error and found your video. I went ahead and removed and cleaned the printhead and it fixed it. Worked like a charm! Thanks for the easy to understand and follow video!
Thanks for this video to help narrow down the problem on a very old Pixma MP620B. Before I was going to try to soak the printhead as you suggest, I tried one other fix. I used some electromechanical switch contact cleaner (available from electronics shops) to clean the contact surfaces on the printhead that interface to the gold pins inside the printer. That seems to have fixed the B200 error. So it seems that contact problems on that interface (maybe due to oxidation or dirt) can cause the B200 error as well. We'll see how long this repair lasts.
I just got the same error code B200 today on my Canon pixma 922 printer. Thanks for the great instructions, it's back working like a champ, you just saved me $200 in buying a new printer. Thank you so much for the posting.
Thanks so much for this video. Following your instructions, I was able to remove, clean, and replace the printhead, and get my printer working again. Like you, I was AMAZED at the amount of ink that rinsed out of it. Even after soaking in a homemade solution of filtered water, alcohol, and a tiny bit of dish detergent, there was still a lot of ink. I repeated the process several times before it was completely clean.
Absolutely spot on advice. This error has been bugging me intermittently for months. The only solution up to now has been to switch the printer off, leave it for a while, come back and try again. Now I've cleaned the printer head per your guide and it's working like a charm.
I got the the exact error you got at 4:15 (1403 - "The print head may be damaged") soooooo, I bought a brand new printer head, but the error still persist.... any advice ?
I did cleaned that printer head before and make it work for 2 or 3 times before it completely died on me and I had to buy a new one.... as I said before.
it worked, I can’t believe it, I did the third step and washed the ink piece… thank you… thank you for this wonderful, helpful video… thanks for making it short and to the point, lots of these videos are so boring and long that I don’t even want to watch till the end …
I gave up on my printer with the error code. Looked and Amazon had them for nearly $500. Was going to buy color laser for $400-600. Cleaned the printhead and everything prints beautifully! Wow thanks!!!
Amazing! I just tried your second hack of opening everything and then turning it on and closing it up while rebooting, and the error code did not come back up. Thank you so very much for sharing your wisdom!
Thanks a lot for an excellent video! I rinsed mine in warm running water for 10 mins. Shaked the water off and blew it clean with compressed air. And it worked! If you guys don't have time to wait for it to dry during night :)
I have tried all the boot up hacks to get mine to clear the b200 error. I too, got it to come back to life for a few days and then the error came back. I will try this print head removal/clean and see if it works! Thanks for the video!
Thank you!!!! Pulled out print head - had a bunch of ink gunked up! Cleaned with rubbing alcohol and cotton swab and put back in and VOILA!! No error!! thank you!
The second tactic worked like a charm! I'll see if I keep getting the error code afterwards, I might have to resort to manually cleaning like in the third tactic. Thank you!
I love my MX922--it has all the functions I need. After long service, I did get the B200 error. The printhead-washing procedure unfortunately didn't work for me (maybe I should have repeated it?), but a new CA$40 printhead from Amazon did, and this video showed me how to remove the old one and replace it. Many thanks.
Thank you for the tips! I followed the steps to clean the print head. The error code is gone and the printer works. It saves me money to get an Epson printer as replacement, which does not use expensive ink tanks like the MX922 printer does.
Thank you so much for sharing this! I don’t have the money to buy a new printer & was devastated when this error came up. Now it’s working again! Thank you!! 😊
Thank you so much you have saved my MX925!!! The video is really well done, I had almost lost hope until I found it. To solve the B200 error I had to rinse the printer head in hot water, then I dried it using both a hairdryer and compresser air. Problem solved, thank you once again!!!
Thank you for posting, I used an aerosol can of contact cleaner (electrical cleaner) which cleans most things, i sprayed it into each ink cartridge Chanel , and I blew everything dry with an aerosol can of compressed air, I put the print back into the printer and let it do its thing, and hey presto everything working, if it doesn't work the first time then repeat the cleaning, dont give up this does work eventually, so thank you so much for this.
I had this problem in 2019. For me, I found that not only did I need to (1) clean the print head; (2) make sure all cartridges had ink; (3) make sure all cartridges were Canon OME; I also (4) moved the paper tray guide up just a little from the LTR, making it slightly smaller. Before I ever cleaned the print head I changed the tray setting and it worked, but the error came back a few days later. Thank you for your video, you did a great job of explaining.
OMG....Thank you so much for your video instructions on solving the B200 error code on my Canon MX922. It took me a few times to watch your video, but I did it. I'm thrilled I was able to get rid of this code and get my printer working again. I love this printer...so much better than the HP's. Thank you again!!!
Is it okay to move the print cartridge left and right without unplugging the power first? Would this possibly cause the B200 error? Thank you for your help.
Thank you so much. You saved my printer. I was giving up and started looking to buy another one already after looking at another RUclips video to fix it and it didn’t work. Cleaning out the print head and then doing the first step worked for me. I’m so grateful for your help!!
Hi, Thank you! It was great to find you! You opened a new area of knowledge for me in my 70th. I cleaned the printhead. When it did not work, I cleaned it again. I have succeeded so far to get the B200 Error removed and I got to Maintenance, but no maintenance could be performed - the B200 appeared again whatever maintenance I chose. Finally, the power went off by itself and it would not go on anymore. Originally the Geeks at Bestbuys said the rollers needed to be replaced but did not clarify which rollers, and they don't have them and don't do the work. UBREAIFIX doesn't work on printers... And I have a large number of new cartridges that I bought... ):
Thank you so much for a great instructional RUclips video, which is very easy to follow. I have a Canon mx926 printer, which is almost the same as the mx922. Following your steps, I was able to resolve the B200 error I was getting (for how long, only time will tell). In my case, I washed the print head in warm water only, for about 20 minutes or more. Just a crazy amount of ink was still in the print head. Then left to dry overnight. Unfortunately the B200 error occurred immediately after putting everything back, but after powering off and back on, and doing step 2 again (close door at half-way point when when ink cartridges moving to the left) I was able to get into the maintenance menu and run the normal cleaning cycle. I did this 3 times, each time selecting Yes to print the nozzle test page, and noticing an improvement each time. After that, the printer was back in business. It's painful to think that I threw out my previous printer (mx726) because of the same B200 error. It probably could have been revived in the same way.
Well I tried to call Cannon and couldn’t even get a live person on the line to help me so I looked for a video and found you! Thank goodness I was able to do what you said and open the printer, remove cartridges and printer head and wash it off. Now I’m just waiting for it to dry and hoping this works out. I don’t want to pay someone to fix it over $100 when I could just invest in another printer for that amount. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽 this fixed the horrible error!!!!
Thank you for your terrific instructions. I cleaned as demonstrated and the computer worked beautifully for 4 or 5 months. Now I've again received the B200 message and am in the process of cleaning again. BUT HERE'S MY QUESTION: Should I consider buying a replacement printhead at this point? Before deciding, I wondered how many times you've now successfully cleaned the printhead on your Canon Pixma 922. Is it still working?
Thanks for watching and asking, Helen. That's a good question. Mine is still working. Yeah, I'm sure it will go bad eventually. My plan is clean mine until then.
Eureka! Your second hack worked for me! Now that I've watched your video, I know what to do the next time and what else I can try. I really like using this printer and would hate to have to buy a new one.
Like a lot of other folks, I got the B200 error at a terrible time and was really really worried- I've got a big essay due. Thank you SO much for this helpful video - it worked perfectly for me!
Awesome, thank you for the great tech video. Have loved my MX922 for several years, I use inexpensive ink cartridges I get on Amazon. Started getting the error 200 code this past week. I went directly to your second method and removed the printer head. I did warm water and then let the head dry thoroughly. Put everything back and I am printing like new again. Not sure how long this will last but I feel that it will last a while. I was literally looking online to buy a new printer, but you have saved my MX922 and I can use the many ink cartridges I have for it.
Do you think the use of off-brand carts may have contributed to the B200 error? I have two Canon printers and the one that has a single off-brand cart has given the first B200. Coincidence? Maybe...
Thank you so much! what a Godsend, I had no idea what to do when I got that error code. I wish all how-to videos on You Tube were as visually and verbally clear on the step-by-step process involved in do it yourself repairs. It gave me the confidence to proceed with pulling out the print head for cleaning and worked perfectly!
Thank you so much this worked for me. Incase anyone doesn't have replacement ink cartages on hand, i skipped that part and just went removing the printhead. Ran it under the water for 10 minutes until it can clear. I was impatient so I put it infront of my air vent (on high) moving it in all directions. Put it back in and it worked.
No luck. In my case, I got a message that one of the ink cartridges was empty. I replaced it with a new one. Then I received the b200 message. I followed your instructions on cleaning the print head and put it all back together and I still get the b200. I checked all the print head connections and they all looked fine, I cleaned them anyway and still get b200. Is it safe to say that my print head is dead? Thank you, it was a great video and congratulations to all this worked for.
Sorry to hear. Yeah, if the printhead has been cleaned and the B200 persists, it's most likely a bad printhead, unfortunately. Thanks for watching, Bill!
Okay, the "hack" reset the error code but it would come back as soon as I tried to print something. I went on to your third hint. I very much appreciate the details you provided, both verbally and visually. I will know tomorrow, after the print head is dry, if this worked. Even if it doesn't, I was able to give it the old college try, thanks to your video.
Your instructions are Awesome. I was able to clean the head, but when I went to install it and print a test page, the printer turned off and won't come back on. Help, do you have a video for that?
Thank you so, so much for your advice. Was getting that B200 error and initially, was not even able to install new ink. Panicked, as I had docs to print out. Followed your advice, had to do it several times but it worked. I would suggest that one does not let all the ink run out. 1st time I'd done that, and 1st time I had that problem. Will not do that again. Will change ink colors, as they run out, individually. Thanks so much.
Hi, Tech4baba. Thank you for this video. I tried everything in your video and still no luck. I did order a new print head and my baby is working again. You helped me to get it installed properly. To anyone reading this. Don't throw the printer away. Order the print head from Ebay. Find a U.S. dealer, with good reviews. Stay away from the knock offs from China. The print head has to be from Japan. Otherwise it is a knockoff. I paid about 125.00 dollars with shipping and tax. This printer can't be replaced unless you want to spend about 1000.00 dollars. This thing is a tank and I got almost 7 years out of her. I should probably get another 7 years. Be kind to our planet and get her going again. Good luck.
Thank you - it was your video that removed my Error B200 code on my Canon MG5560. The bit where you shut the lid whilst the carriage is still traveling to the left - whilst it's still moving - that got rid of the B200 error. Thank you. I need 2 fresh inks. My printer is very touchy about paper feed as well but at least I can print with it now. Great clear video instructions.
Sir, I got the dreaded B200 tonight. I didn't even bother with any of the small steps. I have taken the print head out, and run it through water, and then 91% isopropyl alcohol for about 30 minutes. Will give all electrical contacts a gentle cleaning, and we'll try this tomorrow night. I have a feeling it will work. Thank you either way for an excellent video.
Thank you so much! I tried your first hack, and got rid of the B200 error. I'm sure I will have to clean the printer head next, but this buys me some time. Thanks for sharing!!
My god, I am so amazed by your explanations which got my printer working again, wow, I can't believe it yet, my wife told me to throw it away but it has become so expensive that I didn't dare then long live Google video for finding you and a huge thank you to you my friend.
Good Evening Sir!!! I can't express enough how grateful I am for you to show us this printer tricks, mine worked at the first hack, so Thank Very Much!!! You saved me a lot of money, you earned one more subscriber. Best wishes to you and your family!!
Great stuff - it worked! The second tip worked - then I decided to tell my printer to clean the heads and as it was going through the process it completely died and now won’t turn on at all - skip time (or freegle)
Hey It worked! I have an old Canon Pixma MX870 (2006?) and got the dreaded B200 error msg. Call Cust. Support? Are they mad?? To access printer cartridges, I have to life the entire top section but it worked! I waited until the cartridges started to align then laid the lid down, and it worked! it's printing again beautifully. You're a genius! Thanks!
Thanks so much! The 2nd step cleared the error and has saved me for now. I'll send my printer through the clean printer head cycle next and see if that helps keep it running. Thanks again.
My MX922 gave me the B200 code and was worried the fix would cost more than the $320+ I paid for my Canon. So glad to hear! You're very welcome. Thanks for watching and letting me know, John!
I've try this too...cleaned the print head...and re installed ...still nothing...code 1403
All the printer did was sit for 2-3 years unused and your trick brought it back to life!
Great to hear! Glad it brought it back to life! Thanks for watching and sharing, Joel!
I have probably used this "hack" about 5x now. It keeps bringing my baby back to me. Thank you so much!
Second time Ive had to remove the printhead to unclog it. This video is so much faster and easier than reading through printed instructions which I did the first time which was almost two years ago. The lesson for me is that I need to do a cleaning through the printer maintenance function occasionally.
Glad to hear! Thanks for watching and letting me know, J Consi! Great suggestion.
Great to hear! Thanks for watching and letting me know, Bernard! Stay well.
Thank you very much.😀😀
I know what you mean but glad it worked for you! Praise God indeed! Thanks for watching and sharing, Maria! Stay well.
Well, three weeks later I am facing a B200 error again.
Excellent.
I have been trying to follow this, but the print tray is resisting my pull. Im afraind I may break it - should it open easily?
Can confirm. Isopropyl works a treat. Great tip! Thanks. Once again, RUclips for the win
Thanks for the instructions. Removed the print head, soaked it in alcohol, several times, dried it, and reinserted it, it cleared the error.
Glad it worked for you, too! Thanks for watching and sharing, @DarlEaston!
You're my printer's savior! I changed all empty cartridges to new ones, and ran a deep cleaning on my MX870, then it printed!
FINALLY got the print head out. I was afraid to pull very hard. Your video is so clear on what to do and how! Thank you very much.
Great to hear! Thanks for watching and letting me know, J9 Tabakman! Let me know if cleaning it clear the error code for you? Good luck!
Thanks for watching, Michelle! The MX922 uses replaceable ink cartridges.
Great to hear! Thanks for watching and letting me know, Joan! Happy New Year!
(Chicago)
Just got this printer couldn't find any information about where the inks were until I saw your video. Very very helpful
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching and letting me know, C. T. Enjoy your new printer!
I cleaned the print head and still had the error. I then did the first hack of resetting the cartridges when turning on the printer and that worked! Awesome. Thank you so much!!
Glad it's working for you. You're welcome! Thanks for watching and letting me know, Derek! Stay well!
Thanks!
Thanks for watching and your support, Ken!
Can't thank you enough. I had to watch through a few times and then follow step by step, pausing the video as I went along. But I now have a working printer! And now that I know it works, it will be a lot easier and less anxiety-causing if I have to do it again.
YOU SAVED ME A LOT OF MONEY. THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME IN A YEAR THAT I NEEDED TO FIX B200 ERROR.THANK YOU , THANK YOU.🙂
Glad to hear! Thanks for watching and letting me know, angelcso100! Hope your printer lasts a lot longer with these fixes!
I just cleaned the printer head 2x and changed the ink cartages... still error!!! Thank you so much for your help
Awesome! Glad to hear! Thanks for watching and sharing, @nancybarry8572!
I still can't believe it but method 2 WORKED!!! Not only I fixed the dread B200 error, but now the printer, after the water cleaning, prints better than before! You saved me A LOT of hassles, you're an MVP!!! THANKS!!!
Great to hear! Thanks for watching and letting me know, Jason! Stay well.
It does not work for me :(((
Thanks for this video to help narrow down the problem on a very old Pixma MP620B.
Great to hear! Thanks for watching and letting me know, Chuong! Stay well.
Glad to hear! Thanks for watching and sharing, Gregory!
Thank you! It has been weeks trying to fix the canon 6000 error when there has been no paper jam. The rebook strategy worked! Amazing.
Hope you're not getting tired of being thanked. THANK YOU! You saved me $$ and I appreciate it!
So glad it's helpful! You're welcome, Kris! Thanks for watching and letting me know. Stay well!
Absolutely spot on advice. This error has been bugging me intermittently for months. The only solution up to now has been to switch the printer off, leave it for a while, come back and try again. Now I've cleaned the printer head per your guide and it's working like a charm.
Glad to hear! Thanks for watching and letting me know, John!
I got the the exact error you got at 4:15 (1403 - "The print head may be damaged") soooooo, I bought a brand new printer head, but the error still persist.... any advice ?
I did cleaned that printer head before and make it work for 2 or 3 times before it completely died on me and I had to buy a new one.... as I said before.
it worked, I can’t believe it, I did the third step and washed the ink piece… thank you… thank you for this wonderful, helpful video…
thanks for making it short and to the point, lots of these videos are so boring and long that I don’t even want to watch till the end …
Glad to hear! Thanks for watching and letting me know, GALENGODIS! Great suggestion with compressed air, too. Stay well!
Thank you!
Great to hear! Thanks for watching and letting me know, CACox97! Let me know how it goes. Hope it keeps on working for a long time for you!
This totally fixed my printer and I learned a new important life skill: how to clean my printer! Thank you so much, you've earned another subscriber.
Great to hear! Yup, an important skill for us Canon Inkjet Printer owners. Thanks for watching and welcome, Jeremy! Stay well.
It works! I tried the first hack right away and the code cleared getting me out of my immediate problems. I'll try cleaning the head next.
Ive watched about 10 instructional vids for steps to clear this B200 error and this is the best!
Glad to hear. Thanks for watching and your kind words, Tu! Did it work for you? Stay well.
Thank you!! 😊
So happy to hear! Thanks for watching and letting me know, Janet! Hope the printer continues to work for you for a long long time!
Thank you so much you have saved my MX925!!! The video is really well done, I had almost lost hope until I found it. To solve the B200 error I had to rinse the printer head in hot water, then I dried it using both a hairdryer and compresser air. Problem solved, thank you once again!!!
Awesome! Great to hear. Thanks for watching and letting me know, Paolo! Stay well.
Thanks for watching and sharing, Shouse House! Stay well!
Thank you so much!! I had tried many other methods described in other RUclips posts and only your hack restored my Canon MP560 inkjet printer!!
OMG....Thank you so much for your video instructions on solving the B200 error code on my Canon MX922. It took me a few times to watch your video, but I did it. I'm thrilled I was able to get rid of this code and get my printer working again. I love this printer...so much better than the HP's. Thank you again!!!
Thanks for the tips. I had already purchased a new print head, but was still getting B200. I tried the hack and it worked. I'll see how long it lasts.
Glad it worked for you. Thanks for watching and letting me know, Victor! Hope it lasts for a long time for you.
Is it okay to move the print cartridge left and right without unplugging the power first? Would this possibly cause the B200 error? Thank you for your help.
Excellent job with your video. Companies should hire you. Very clear and concise. Thank you!
Haha, so nice of you! Thanks for watching, Julie! Stay well.
Thank you so much. You saved my printer. I was giving up and started looking to buy another one already after looking at another RUclips video to fix it and it didn’t work. Cleaning out the print head and then doing the first step worked for me. I’m so grateful for your help!!
Glad to help! Thanks for watching and letting me know, Lili! Stay well.
Wow! The reset hack actually worked the first time! Thanks!
Awesome! Thanks for watching and letting me know, @russelldofrane6614!
I did everything you suggested. No longer getting the b200 message but not printing either. Your thoughts?
If the printer turns on without any error, you may want to try running the cleaning cycle. Thanks for watching and asking, Christine! Good luck!
Glad to hear! Thanks for watching and letting me know, Carola! Good luck with your big essay!
Closing the lid while the head was moving to the left worked first time! Thank you!
Great to hear! Thanks for watching and letting me know, Scott! Hope MX922 serves you well much longer. Happy New Year!
Do you think the use of off-brand carts may have contributed to the B200 error? I have two Canon printers and the one that has a single off-brand cart has given the first B200. Coincidence? Maybe...
How are your printheads now?
Your tutorial solved the problem and I have to extend my sincere appreciation for this video.
I am so appreciative of your advice. It saved me the cost of a new printer. This fix worked perfectly!
So glad to hear. Great suggestion. Thanks for watching and sharing, Lee!

Thank you so much. I've trashed two Canon printers in the past because of this. Your fix worked!!
Great to hear! Thanks for watching and letting me know, Kay!
thanks for the info. I try it and still getting the b200 error. any other suggestions or possible steps I did wrong? thanks.
Sry to hear but hope you're able to bring it back to life. Thanks for watching, DrKK! Let me know how it goes. Stay well!
@@Tech4Baba Sir, I am pleased to report that your procedure was successful, and I am back online. Hopefully that holds up!
That hack has just brought our 925 back to life....thanks very much!
Thank you so much! I tried your first hack, and got rid of the B200 error. I'm sure I will have to clean the printer head next, but this buys me some time. Thanks for sharing!!
Glad to hear. You're welcome. Thanks for watching and letting me know, Meg! Stay well.
The hack about closing the document tray before the ink moves to the left totally worked for me THANK YOU!!!!
