To clarify a few doubts:
1. The above method works from as early as Chapter 2, but only Valentine & Scarlet meadows stables are open in Chapter 2
2. You can't get a Turkoman in Chapter 2 using above method as Turkoman unlocks for purchase in Saint Denis stable from Chapter 4 onwards, so if you visit there in Chapter 2, there won't be any horses for sale or stealing

@@yepz8391 Brindle Thoroughbred at Strawberry probably best in Ch3 (same horse you can steal from lady that wants to race you). You can steal a Turkomon from Braithwates during a mission in Ch 3 - i used that horse the rest of the game. I personally also like the Dark Bay Andalusian at Strawberry as early as Ch2.
Anyone in chapter 2 the turkoman won’t spawn in st Denis, only the horses you have stabled will. If you go into the st Denis stables normally in chapter 2 they will say there are no horses for sale.

You can only steal horses that are available for sale. St. Denis won’t have anything for sale until Ch.4.
With all the finest breed of horse within the game..Buell grew on me as I encountered Hamish earlier in the game.Had Buell to the end hit me in the feels after he was shot 😭 at the end of Arthur's story..Rdr2 true masterpiece of a game

For everyone still looking for the horse on Arthur, sadly the earliest possible is chapter 3 with the "horse flesh for dinner" mission. Superantonio made a great and easy to follow guide on it. Good luck outlaws!

@@shouvikbose1601 What mission is that? Can you redo missions and steal the horse, etc.? Or does it force you to play the whole game over again from that mission sequence you redid?
@@donalgodon There is a mission in Chapter 3 named 'Horse flesh for dinner', from this mission you could steal and keep a Turkoman for yourself.
Replaying the mission won't let you keep the horse as you can't save

The reloading method is patched so this can be done in chapter 2 right? Is it always the Turkoman?
Yes it can be done in chapter2. You can have any horse in the stable. Cheers.

Turkomans only availble at st denis,blackwater and tumbleweed stables only. You can’t visit last 2 stables until later part of the game. if st denis does not work try valentine. you can have the fastest horse,foxtrotter at there
There is no way you to have this horse in stable in chapter 2. You can Turkoman not early before chapter 3. And finally you show Blackwater stable... no comment

Did rockstar patched this? I was getting the dutch warmblood in valentine but the horse can't seem to get out of the stable.
Edit: I just went far enough for the horse to get out the stable but also maintaining the range for it to respond. Works really well and I get to keep the $450, thanks!

visit the valentine station and buy a ticket to St.Denis. then go to the stable there.
before all that do the Hosea'"s stable mission to unlock the stable.it is a easy one so won't take long.

This still works on any stable with same method. Its easier to just ride the horse in stable n flee to safety then stable the horse.
