Prisma Health Medical Minute: How is head and neck cancer treated?

In this #PrismaHealth Medical Minute, head and neck surgeon Dr. Jeff Jorgensen spoke on the variety of treatments available for head and neck cancer.
"Symptoms vary depending on where the lesion first starts," said Dr. Jorgensen. "Early symptoms of tongue cancer might be a sore with pain on the tongue, for example."
Dr. Jorgensen noted that there are three main treatments for head and neck cancer: surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. Which treatment is best for the specific type of cancer diagnosed depends on where the cancer is located and how extensive it is.
