    Hello my friends thank you so much for watching my video. I forgot to mention at the end of this video how interesting it was that the artist loft flow acrylic white did not cause excessive lacing and cells like it has been so maybe the amount of floetrol just needs to be adjusted to stop that from happening in our Dutch pours. I will most definitely be looking into this further❤ Dont forget to like and subscribe. Much love to you all and HAPPY POURING 😊

      What's interesting is that Artist Loft Flow Acrylic from Michael's in Ontario, Canada is not currently available on their website. I contacted them and the only thing they offered was an email if this product comes in. I went to the actual store and purchased flow acrylic for 5 out of the 6 colours. No flow white. Only soft body white and the remaining bottles of coloured paint were all soft body as well. I hope the situation changes.

    What a wonderful professor! Especially for a beginner. What you teach may allow someone to begin to have some success sooner, not feel like a failure and quit. So...not only are you TEACHING...you could be TREATING depression, loneliness, low self-esteem, lack of purpose, etc. The joy and thrill of seeing the explosion of colors and movement, being part of a community,..a sense of pride and the feeling of I am an artist has the possibility of changing someone's life in a positive way forever. I know I may sound hyperbolic...but it is true!! If you were to create another of your magnificent paintings...no one could ever deny your God given gift. Bless you for not only sharing your years of experience and your beautiful paintings. But more importantly thank you for the joy and laughter you infuse into every drop of paint or resin you pour, swipe blow, or throw. 🥰🙏😝

    Dear Tammy, I am new to acrylic pouring and have watched many videos in everything from Cloud mix to Dump and swirl, straight pour 😱 so overwhelming!!!! But then I watched a tutorial where you explain what the Cloud pour is and how it’s done and why… and how it differs from a cloud mix that is poured on a canvas in a puddle and Why and How 😊 now I think I can actually stop watching videos and actually try doing it… honestly I’m a quick learner but all the artists do it their way and that’s great, when you know why and how and when to do what technique. I found you really break it down to “this is what you need to know… this is why… it’s a paint reaction, it’s going to be different each time… it’s okay. I’m so glad I clicked on your channel Tammy! THANK YOU 👍🏻🦋🌻

    All of the pearl cell pours I have done, and of those, the ones that have turned out PHENOMENALLY, but, none of them have I put a base/pillow on the canvas - I always put my colors directly on the canvas, and the "pour over" paint, typically black, is poured over the colors, and the colors I use have always been DecoArt extreme sheen - which are colors that are all metallic. So, while I definitely appreciate your video testing new, simpler techniques to achieve the pear cell style, I am a little confused with a couple of things you commented on this video. I love watching/listening to you - you crack me up usually, and you have a certain light-heartedness about your attitude that is reassuring. I just am a little confused why someone like yourself, who has been doing this type of art for a much longer time myself and many others who watch you and are still learning, seems a little lost. (I am so very sorry if that comes out in a way that sounds offensive - I do not mean it to be offensive or hurtful, I don't know any other way to say exactly the point I am trying to get to...) I love your art, please keep making videos, please help explain to me what I am obviously not understanding?

    • @tammyandersonart
      @tammyandersonart  3 года назад +3

      Hello my friend. I believe your asking me why would I experiment when I am someone that has been doing this a long time and knows how to do the Pearl technique?? I hope I'm understanding this but if not here is why I made this video.. I can do a pearl pour. I can do all the pours out there and be done like every other channel. Here is what I used, go out and buy all the supplies and do it.. I have, on this one technique alone,, 6 videos that show you exactly how to be successful with this technique . And that's not counting all the other videos I made where I didn't teach just created using the pearl effect technique. My goal in doing this video/ experiments is to maybe stumble on a way of doing this one technique without having to buy 5 products to do it. Sure I can just tell people to use ABC and you will have success. When it comes to this technique though ABC are either too hard to find or very expensive so as a teacher I try to find alternatives to help you the viewer do something more easily and cheaper. What if my first experiment had worked? That would mean that you can now do the Pearl technique without using satin enamels, gac 800 and a large amount of pouring medium Which means you save money not buying those products and you save time not having to mix them all up. Now granted the experiments did not work but why would I not try to experiment and help others? There are a lot of people out there that would love to do this technique but satin enamels is nonexistent at this point so when I experiment I film. Most channels would not do this. They have their own reasons whether it be no interest in experimentting to find easier ways for themselves and their viewers or they just don't have the knowledge of how chemicals work . They watched a few videos to learn acrylic pouring and started a channel.with no prior art background. I've been at this for almost 25 years and the teacher in me outweighs the artist and therefore I must learn and teach it myself. I am secure enough with myself to know that I can produce beautiful artwork and also show things that do not work. There are so many that do not show their failures and to me that is misleading the public because trust me they all fail. We
      Whether you see it or not, now that's the question lol❤ so that's my reasoning for this. Hope it clears it up .❤

    • @meganconnell-cox6425
      @meganconnell-cox6425 3 года назад

      @@tammyandersonart Well, no, you did not really answer the question I was having problems trying to ask, Tammy: I know WHY you do the videos (teaching and experimenting); what I was confused about: why you were putting a pillow or base paint on the canvas FIRST (bc like I said originally, I have never done a pearl pour with a base paint), and, this is just my experience - I have only been actively creating pours since Jul'y 2020 - but I was confused why there was no "pour over" paint used on top of your colors - b/c (and I could be very wrong here) I thought that was how the pearl cell outcome was accomplished in the first place - regardless of how many or how few extra products you use.
      See, among the very long list of other artists I watch (along with you) none of them that I have seen use a base paint - and if I missed it, if they DID use a base paint, they all use a "pour over" paint: AND, that pour over paint is ALWAYS thinner than the colors/ hence, the result being the "pearl"-like cells.
      in this video, your paints, pillow and colors, are all the same consistency - so I wondered if THAT WAS the reason your experiment was not working.
      I think that is what I was trying to get at. LOL, maybe this time I am more precise in my questioning?

    Good morning, thank you so much for your tutorials. They have been extremely helpful on my new journey. For me this really helps me with my anxiety. It's relaxing being to just be in my dedicated space and just create. I hope you don't mind if I ask for your assistance. In starting out the consistency Guage has been mentioned as a standard for learning consistency. Is there a particular number on the Guage that would be closest to the consistency I need for the base in a pearl, puddle and cloud pour? It's really hard for me to see what the paint actually feels like. Everytime I've thinned the paints to achieving that little hole as the stream make contact with the surface, the basecoat breaks down and doesn't hold. Using the consistency Guage as a guide has helped me tremendously. Thank you so much for your assistance and response. 🥲
