    Having left TO in 1994 and watching this from my farm in Alberta with neighbours a mile apart, this is a totally different world.

    Interesting topic, Frank. I've seen videos about people renting Airbnb's at various locations around the world, so thanks for highlighting the other alternative of renting a hotel room instead. I'm glad to know that there are financially viable alternatives to renting apartments.

      np - its an odd alternative but an alternative nonetheless!

    its crazy that toronto’s rent got so outrageous expensive that hotel’s is much more affordable. 💀 still imo would choose to pick apartments, i ain’t staying in a hotel that frickin has spiders, etc. love your vids Frank! ❤

      @@Carolinapetroska i wonder how long it will take for the city and all of it to collapse under its own weight with only a few 'rich people' who can afford to pay those rents while the masses eventually leave

    I think it is. Little more money but way more flexibility. I lived in an apartment once in my life. I frigging hated it.worst year of my life

    • @FrankHuynh
      @FrankHuynh  10 месяцев назад

      that's fair, sometimes its worth the little bit more $ for flexibility.

    Don't forget about hotel tax which probably aren't included in the calculations. I think if you calculate the expense all together, having your own apartment is still cheaper than a hotel.

    • @FrankHuynh
      @FrankHuynh  10 месяцев назад

      i see. additional hotel taxes should be factored
