I’m rewatching the episode with Danny Gokey, it was awesome! Talking of his journey to who to he is now was fascinating! Thank you for this show so full of faith and journeys with God I became a subscriber tonight after watching only about 5-6 shows this past month during our ever present lockdown/self quarantine. I have watched your other shows Mark and I love them and yes I have subscribed to those too. Keep on checking on us; God has this. Our Lord Jesus is at our side always.

Takes so much courage to be real. So many of us suffer from depression and anxiety. “Be immersed in God’s word”. We will be healed in heaven. Medicine didn’t work for me either... I like that he mentioned that, he felt that wisdom came from outside of himself, I am one of those Christian's who would pray and wait but now am learning to listen for God ordering my footsteps; and God is patient with me, sometimes all the capacity I have is for one small step in say a month, and sometimes for many steps at a time

Beautiful singing. One of my favourite songs. My family has had a lot of loss, the greatest was my 7 year old grandniece who died of brain cancer. Her mother is having such a hard time and I feel that this conversation is encouraging. Grief is such a challenge. Christians need to be more open about depression and the church needs to hold each other up in Jesus!

Touching Interview, I have been so encouraged by Danny after being on my own for the first time in my life when I turned 51.
We as Christians are not living a true life for the Lord if we don't utilize the Holy Spirit every single moment of every day.

Ok so I get what is conversed about. I have been through deep depression and have anxiety to this day. I have been on meds and it does not help me. I’m still working through anxiety and depression and learning that our lord has been through it all. My biggest problem is fear, Control and doubt. I’m not talking just fear and doubt. It is sooo much deeper... so deep the thoughts, fears and doubts is all you think about. Christian or not it can hit u when u don’t expect it. Christians are saved sinners and we learn as we walk our own road and in so many levels. I get what Danny is saying. He is a help to a lot of people who are struggling cause of what he went through. So our suffering and our walk is a experience to help others. Is it easy? No! Do we doubt ourselves go through fear, doubt, depression and anxiety ? We sure do!cause we are human. We are to help one another...not to judge, not to criticize and not to compare. I’m so learning and wish I could have known what I know now compare to back when I was young. Our feelings Is our biggest culprit !!!!
I'm Jewish. The translation we use is "Desist! Realize that I am G-d!" The previous lines describe how He stops wars. Go look up and meditate on what 'desist' means for you. What can you mindfully abstain from? What war can you give up? How can you stop fighting - today?

Great to watch and listen to this conversation. I was disappointed with one thing regarding Dr. Carolyn Leaf. I have some regard for her work, but not happy that she made light of prayer. If you comb through all of Scripture and assuredly look at Jesus Christ - people prayed and God oftentimes answered prayer miraculously without the help of the individual praying. There's something special about prayer, especially because God tells us to and Jesus taught us to. We can never discount prayer and the need for it, nor should we ever veer people away from it. May God bless you buys for sharing your dialogue. Next time, can you arrange for us to enjoy what you're eating also?! (Smile)

Danny, thank you for doing this show. I started going to a new church in Feb of 2018 and about six months later I started singing on the worship team. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it!!!!! God gave me the gift of singing and I have a new love for worship music! Some of the worship team does worship at Celebrate Recovery and wow! I want to be used by God to bring the lost to the feet of Jesus through worship. That is my dream! You are an inspiration to so many and me!!

Glad things are working out for Danny Gokey. Being young, and having your life ahead of you, helps tremendously. Can't completely agree with him, but whatever is working for him is great. Sorry, but Dr. Carol Leaf is one person that is extremely hard to follow and understand what she is talking about.
I've suffered with depression since I was 10 years old. I've been diagnosed with "Manic Depression", "Borderline Split Personality", "Borderline Bipolar Disorder". Those, to me are just words. Medicine helps to a certain extent. After you pass that line, God has to take over. If God hadn't been a HUGE part of my life, I wouldn't be sitting here talking/typing about it. I would have committed suicide at 10 years of age. God kept me alive. He had plans for me. Plans I didn't and still don't know anything about. I'm 48. It's almost Christmas again. A lot of people have a very hard time with depression around the holidays. I think that's mainly because they've lost loved ones and it's hard to live through the holidays without them. I have it hard because of something that happened to me on Thanksgiving day in 1988. I try to keep myself busy every year. Some years are harder than others. But I'm STILL HERE because GOD wants me here. Due to Crohns Disease, 4 months ago, I had a blockage in my bowels (due to excessive stomach surgeries from Crohns Disease). It was due to the scar tissue and lesions. They got my small intestine twisted enough that nothing was coming out. I was admitted to the hospital and they called in a Surgeon thinking I would need surgery to fix it.
A day or 2 after I was admitted, the Preacher of my Church came to visit. We talked for a few minutes and before he left we prayed together.
During the prayer, I felt a tingling sensation start from my head an d go through my body out through my toes. I'm NOT exaggerating AT ALL!!
It was an AMAZING EXPERIENCE. The next day they took an X-ray. It showed my intestine was untwisted! It was back to NORMAL!! I knew! I knew at that moment, the tingling I had felt was MY LORD & SAVIOR HEALING ME!!
I am a Baptist and like Mark says, I've never seen a miracle. Let alone be on the RECEIVING END OF ONE!!
God saved my soul when I was 7. He saved my life just a few months ago! I'm here to tell EVERYONE that GOD IS REALLY REAL!!! Jesus IS coming back for His children! Please make sure you ARE ONE OF THEM!!!
All you have to do is admit you are a Sinner! Confess your sins to Jesus! BELIEVE that Jesus DIED ON THE CROSS for YOUR SINS so that you may be saved and may enter the Kingdom of Heaven when the time comes. BELIEVE that Jesus AROSE FROM THE DEAD 3 DAYS AFTER HE WAS BURIED!!
BELIEVE that Jesus IS COMING BACK for His children! BELIEVE that Jesus LOVES YOU!
Do ALL of these things and you SHALL be SAVED! You SHALL have YOUR name written in the LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE!! You will have a GLORIFIED BODY! There will NEVER, EVER be any PAIN, SADNESS, ILLNESS or DEATH in Heaven.
My question to those of you who don't KNOW God/Jesus is this:
"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!?!" This is the EASIEST and BEST THING YOU WILL EVER DO FOR YOURSELF!!! Why wouldn't you run to do it? Yes, you HAVE to give up those worldly, sinful pleasures. But what you will be getting is a ZILLION times better!
THINK ABOUT IT!!

Im a Christian extremely struggling i have borderline personality disorder PTSD and ocd and anxiety I struggle extremely bad I am depressed feeling hopeless feeling God won't come thru for me I resist Him I have trust issues I have tried so hard crying vout to Jesus saying help me get me out of the way please in my blood line is rebellion stubbornness I hate it I struggle letting go people have prayed for me my pastor said God showed him I will be faithful He will too meaning God i feel I'm barely hanging on I Kno today I was feeling pity for myself saying my husband and others and God be better off with me dead so they wont have to deal with me I struggle feeling love towards the Lord ans others i dont wanr to be fake I hope I make it.

Danny, I've been asking artists to begin a tv show I call "Christians Got Talent" (singing competition) all over the world to take the music industry out of satan's hands and fully into Jesus'. Let me know when u can start it. I would like to go to the finale.
If the nervous system is raw and the low frequencies become dominant, a person can't "choose" well. So surprised that there is no mention of energy tools (which I initially learned from a priest) or frequency avenues to change the low vibrations. The body isn't craving a drug to fix anything. It's craving energetic frequency balance!
The reason for generational "patterns" is because we learn via downloads of what we see, hear and learn about life from those around us before the age of 7 yrs. old due to the sponge like theta brain wave state. After age 7, discernment begins but energy patterns of both good and bad have already been activated and learned. That's why frequency and energy plays a role in change and not just how we "think".
Fun and fulfilling content. One comment, science can't prove the bible. It can confirm aspects of it but it can't prove it. Science changes, the truth of the bible does not. But it is a wonderful tool for us to help understand the world he created.

I battled depression for most of my life. It all went away the day I saw a beautiful lady who had no nose. As long as I have a nose on my face, I’m happy.
This is such a powerful program. These pandemic days have forced us to look at God's word and apply it.
Has Mark ever disavowed or apologized for all his “jokes” supporting child abuse in the 90’s? I grew up with a stepfather that would regularly beat me, and he thought Mark’s bits about hitting kids were hilarious. He’d quote them back to me, stuff like, “Oh, am I squelching your personality?!?” I was afraid to go home, and once there, I was afraid to leave my room. I got really skinny because I’d always skip family dinner. It’s messed up every aspect of my life, and the PTSD has given me pretty severe agoraphobia and panic disorder. My mom’s awful husband would’ve hit me even if Mark had never picked up a microphone, but I really didn’t need the salt in the wound.
So sorry for the trauma in your life. I pray Mark answers you, even if he doesn’t know that you are ok even with ptsd. Dr Leaf and many others are blessed with much knowledge about our brains. Pray you reach out.

Let me join the conversation and talk about what really is going on, and how people are ignoring the sick and homeless and the disabled in the United States.
Kara's comment reminds me why I stopped watching these kind of shows. I remember how bad Star Search was for singers. You had to come out blaring from the beginning just to get noticed. There should be less judge comments and more singing in my opinion. If you cut out half of these comments then singers could do more with developing the pace of a song. As it stands they have to get to the chorus fast and sing unreal high notes or else the judges will criticize them for picking a bland song.
