  • Have you ever wondered what bodybuilders looked like before steroids were invented? You might be surprised to see the physiques that they sported. They were clearly nothing like the monsters that you see today.
Does that mean that they were not lean or didn’t look good? Of course not! As a matter of fact, these physiques are what many can achieve as long as they stay natural. So don’t be discouraged by those that are clearly using PEDs, instead, look to build your best body naturally as these bodybuilders did.

That's kind of a vague statement , how much meat exactly are we talking? Did you also know that back then food was significantly higher in essential minerals, thus helping those to stay fit and healthy. Now everyone is fat and eats too much salt and sugar and processed food

@@RotaryPoweredRX It's vague because being unable to afford meat except once or twice a week can not be precisely quantified. If you'd like precision, it was around the 250grams per meal or half that. It could be liver, organ meat, quarter or half a chicken or red meat. His staples were fava beans, and lentils. It was all he could afford. Back in the day, people didn't have Orea for breakfast and sit around to watch TV. Fat people eat loads of meat too, not just processed food and sugar.

@RubyZan most overweight people know very little about muscle gain and fat loss, and virtually nothing of nutrition, let alone how to read labels. About the "poisoning": back then, food quality overall was terrible worldwide, millions of people died because of natural food poisoning, most children were malnourished, healthcare was inaccessible to most.

There’s a saying that goes like this: you can be shredded, big, or natural; although you can only pick two. You can definitely be decently big and shredded as a natural but you won’t hold as much muscle compared to if you’re bf% was higher, generally speaking. Steroids (especially trenbolone) are very effective in maintaining muscle while you’re in a caloric deficit, which is why insane looking physiques, like Chris Bumstead’s, are common place today. Those earlier bodybuilders have extremely impressive physiques, although their conditioning and camera angles makes them look like they’re taking steroids when they’re not. If you actually pay attention to their muscle to height ratio, most of them probably wouldn’t surpass an ffmi of 25, which is generally considered the limit for most naturals.
