Obviously PQ was a great Javert....but I do wish people who like him in that role would be more open to other great roles he has performed. He was incredible in this....some of the songs on The Secret Garden are superb. The duet with Warlow is one of the all-time classic performances of Musical Theatre IMO. He was spectacular in Sunday in the Park With George....and seriously brilliant in The Fix.....both of which he got Olivier Awards for.... Personally I like him best for his role in South Pacific. Sheer brilliance.

I just saw a video where Philip Quast was in the role of Juan Peron in Evita. WOW!!!!!!! He's what you would call a Triple Threat of Singer, Actor, and DANCER!!!!!!!
I prefer Terrence Mann in the role- Quast took an awful lot of liberties with the musical timing of his lines. I love his voice and performance, but prefer Mann's.

Yes another wonderful performance so expressive and with great feeling no mstter what song phillip sings he makes it his own.
