    I'm getting ready to replace my defective Ignition module with a Dynatek 2000i and was lucky to stumble upon your excellent video. Have never replaced one before and this video will be a handy reference guide. Well done!

    Getting ready to put a Dyna 2000i in my 1990 FXRS. Gonna be working with the motor already in the frame. Seems like a pretty straightforward install. Dumb question but I’m looking for those leads that you use to put power to the module. There a technical name for those?

    These systems really are one of the best for a street bike.
    I'm wondering what Cam you installed. I watched you put it in. But I never heard which one it was?
    Good simple job on the lifter adjustment and timing set.

    I can’t get my bike to not kick back when timing my bike just as you did here. It’s a shovelhead running S&S evo 4-5/8” crank and complete 2000i ignition. It runs good when it starts but wants to take my leg off as soon as I push against the compression stroke. What am I doing wrong? Had the same issue with a Hi-4 ignition prior to this.

      i would guess you are on the wrong timing marks.

    I wish someone would make an ignition module that is dependable so I could ride in the summer been through 40 of these in 400.000 miles

      use an ugly external ignition module mounted up front in the wind and you should have better reliability. under the very hot cover looks good but not the best place to be.

      So you get 2 modules and wire them together burnt one in the cone and another under the motor of someplace?Because never heard of anyone doing this or what ever you have in mind sound like I might miss interpret you unless clarify or see a video of someone who has done this

      since 1982 harley has used external modules for the ignition. they only have a timing cup and ignition trigger under the hot point cover. the modules were 1st put down low on the front frame down tubes and later on under or by the hot oil tank. all the ignition manufactures make the external ignition boxes if you want to use one.

      @TatroMachine  2 года назад

      that is because it is impossible to do. it is a very bad design. don't even ask them about cylinder offset or phasing. car guys.
