The way you phrased that, it made me almost think that you were saying that Qarl made this "Mistress Telani_ An Adult Mod" Mod, which made me do a double-take and look it up to see, because I've installed some of Qarl's textures before, but no, this mod was made by "Slaanesh The Corruptor" (apparently he's a fan of Warhammer 40k). But I also learned that Qarl (whose name was "Steve") was an endearing jokester, and it sounds like he died in 2013 or 2014. I think I'll give his "Underground 2" a proper reviewing, the screenshots seem interesting and the description makes some pretty bold claims for that time ([2007 upload, 2013 edit] "A quest which is estimated to take about twice as long as the Morrowind Main Quest. Complex scripting which does things never before seen in Morrowind.")
The Underground was pretty fun. It had a bit of a Buffy vibe.

I made an "adult" mod for Morrowind a long time ago. How it worked was in all the inns where you could rent a bed, instead there would be a person in the bedroom, and in order to sleep, instead of interacting with the bed, you'd interact with the person, as they were coded to act like a bed instead of a person.
I kinda like that idea of NPC's being a bed script
@@MickyD I was probably 14 when I made the mod, so I cannot imagine it was a very hard thing to program. I made a whole slew of garbage mods back in 2004.
I know one of the mods I made allowed you to join all fractions and guilds, which caused all sorts of funny problems in the one mission where you are supposed to assassinate your house counterparts and stop them from building their respective colony.
I also played waaaayyy too many hours and made an incredibly OP character with 100 on every stat, by intentionally going to jail so I could continue to level up.
That sounds remarkably like how the brothel works in Arcanum, except you wake up with your fatigue drained.

Video game spears are EXTREMELY hit or miss (like shot guns) they are either awesome or shitty
@@Dovah_Slayer they could program them to have higher piercing damage and range but can also be used like a staff like to swing the back end to do some blunt damage and if they are bladed they can be swung to do slashing damage all depends on the rarity and level of the spear so lower class ones would do lower damage all around and the upper class does significantly more damage the higher the level weapon used just like all weapons but what makes spears better would be you have to have higher strength and dexterity or something to even carry one except for the very lower class that the damage doesn't do much more than a sword but the thing that would help would be the range. Since more games are using better game engines ie Bethesda supposedly using a different engine for TES6 so maybe they bring it back AND have duel wielding too? If you can do it in assassin's Creed then we should be able to in the elder scrolls lol.

So, I played Morrowind on the original Xbox all the way back in 2003, and my first experience was playing my friend's save file, which started in Suran, Desele's House of Earthly Delights.
I can verify those dancer animations were awkward and weird in the context of its time, as they did nothing to my hormone addled brain even at age 12.

Hey, I know that you posted this like 5 months ago and probably you're not playing Morrowind right now, but if crashes are annoying, try OpenMW. Some folks don't like it, but it didn't crash once for me.
@@skeevert4399 OpenMW is Sotha-blessed, honestly. If it crashes it's literally because the mod relies on an engine quirk that wasn't emulated or a broken script is taking it down.
MGE XE is an acceptable substitute to OpenMW until they add support for Script Extender (have they done that one yet? it was still TBA when I last checked), at least for up to Win10, I can't vouch for it on Win11.

You chose a tragically edgy and tasteless one, I recommend daughters of amillia instead. Full faction, tied in to main quest, provides new npcs, new quests and new ways to handle quests while adding on to existing quests for the slave and slave trader factions.

@@natelax1367 It's to be expected. It's a TES game, and it was the first one that had the modding tools that Bethesda puts in all their modern games. There were quite a few back in the day -- not Skyrim or even Oblivion level, but still a lot as gamers have always been thirsty. Even before Loverslab, there were some earlier websites IIRC.
Most of the ones with sex were text-based (but could still get as disgusting and depraved as Skyrim's worst). But I remember one that actually had (has? It might still exist) actual proper animations. Lovers and Legends I think. It was crude, it was buggy as shit, it was extremely prone to crashes, and the animations were about what you would expect for a mod from like the mid 2000s, but it crawled so Sexlab could fly.

They have the Lovers and...something framework thingy which was a pain to install back in the day...and that's about it I think. Most adult mods are text only. Then there is the Romance mod which lets you marry and impregnate NPCs but keeping a relationship in that one is painful like in real life...I think CM Partners used to have an adult version as well, had it in the past, but not anymore.

Of course, the BEST mod out there that's got an 'adults only' rating is The Underground, but it's buggy as hell even if you get the patch for it. It's an amazing mod, though, the adult content is just a footnote. It's a 50+ hour quest mod where you travel with a vampire companion that's the opposite sex of your character, discover an artifact of incredible power, stop the evil plans of a demon, and save the world.
The Underground is arguably one of Morrowind's greatest mods ever, but in twenty years of playing, I've only ever been able to get all the way through it once, that's how damn buggy it is, which is a pity, because it's fantastic.

@@dant69 Yeah, but does the Dawnguard DLC start in a vampire bar in the sewers? Do you use ancient magics to bring your vampire companion back from death? Is your vampire companion's father actually a chill dude? Do you get to visit a vampire harem? Do you fight a plague of spiders and track it down to a weird lab that's turning people into spiders?
Also, The Underground came out in the early 2000s, so it's not like it copied Dawnguard or anything. Just an interesting coincidence. There's also a lot I left out of my description of the mod, because I can't exactly condense a 50+ hour mod into a single comment. It's a hell of an adventure.

The reason why there are so many more adult mods for Skyrim is because Crassus Curio hadn't achieved Amaranth yet during the events of Morrowind and Oblivion.

Back in the day, when Morrowind first came out and the graphics were not considered horrible, there were quite a few adult mods. It was mostly nudity and sexy clothing, with some dialogue, but the actual quality of the items and textures was first class. This was all pre-Nexus, and there was a lot of controversy about adult mod hosting, such that the mods ended up being taken off popular mod sites and relocated to "secret" sites where you needed to obtain a membership to download the mods. This is back in the time where having logins and passwords for anything other than a genuine business site was very uncommon.

In the early 2000s there was a Morrowind modder that liked Elric of Melniboné so much that he named his avatar after after him and created a mod to add that character to Morrowind. They also created a mod that added a sexy vampire cafe to Mournhold. It was one of the most well done interiors I've ever seen in a Morrowind mod. Unfortunately there was some bad drama and the guy removed all his stuff from the internet. I wonder if anyone else remembers it.
There's a mod called "the Underground" which is full of adult situations. Might be worth a check out. I installed it and as I was checking it out I realized it was basically just Vampire: The Masquerade and pretty quickly checked out, but from what I did see of it there's cutscenes and a bunch of crazy stuff happens that i'm sure makes sense when you're not noclipping into things and skipping sequences.

Skyrim adult mods are actually so damn creepy to me. Excluding just body replacers, the most popular/downloaded ones aren't just saucy and campy adult content that you expect from a high fantasy game. Huh, interesting, my quick 30 minute fix on finding out how the dialogues work for the quest got a shout out here. I assumed it was going to get a mention. I haven't updated it ever since I made it. But maybe if I go back to it, I'm sure it leaves a lot to be desired in terms of improving the overall quest. The quest involved was kinda short, but at least it was in a more playable state afterwards. At one point I was thinking of ideas to expand on it, but I thing this is the last thing I did during my Morrowind playthrough and stopped playing MW since. (My old FFXIV addiction got back.)

I helped a little with scripting on Lords & Lovers back in like... 2009? Awkward as shit when my brother went to play Morrowind for the first time in years and saw the autosaves the mod made. 10/10 would not reccomend
