- This is one of the toughest Morrowind challenges yet! Yes, even tougher than having Dagoth Ur everywhere. Today we're going to see if you can play Morrowind if every NPC is a zombie! How will I do? You can likely guess.

Oh yeah that's right, Divayth basically cures your Corprus in the normal game.

Otherwise everyone would fall to anarchy
Just role play that you respect the dead in game. Not like it's out of place in morrowind.

3:45 In my first serious playthrough of Morrowind, I ended up doing a marksman build. For some weird reason my brain just assumed that bows weren't subject to the random chance hits like other weapons, so I thought I was just a genuinely bad shot at the start, and landing them several hours in was me getting better at aiming. I still remember the satisfaction of taking out an enemy at the very edge of the render distance in Solstheim using a bow. At that point in my playthrough, I barely got touched because they were all dead before they got to me.
TL:DR; bow good, brain stupid.
I like how when he asked if he could do a normal tomb he picked one thats normally an ash and corprus one. It was completely unchanged.
Even during an apocalypse, where the place is handing out free gear (money) this madman STILL refuses the limeware platter.
A man of true principle.
There needs to be more "what if" mods in general. Such a great experience

@@maksymalnybul6145 Given that this is Mehrunes Dagon, I would imagine that Cyrodiil under the command of him would be slowly transforming into the Deadlands, killing those faithful to the Nine Divines and those not faithful to him, the rest being subjugated.

And my idea is that you're either one of a tiny handful of either survivors who wanted to take up arms against the Daedra, part of an order of Daedra hunters or a surviving member of the Blades who wants to try to keep the glory of the Empire alive.

I remember playing a very elaborate zombie mod for Oblivion as a kid. People would start getting infected, turn into zombies, but you could command the survivors, hole up in some places, use barricades, etc. I know this sounds like a fever dream but I swear this was a real mod, I've played it in 2008 so!
And I've found it, it's called 28 days and a bit. It was apparently last updated in 2014, so it's not that old for Oblivion modding.
This mod is EPIC! I played it as a kid and it was so cool. The cities would get more and more destroyed if the outbreak wasn't contained. I loved to set up in one city, barricade the gates, and look at the stats as all the other cities get converted. Eventually you start to hear banging and clawing at the city gates. Eventually they break open. And the horde begins!
I also saw there's a Skyrim version called 28 days and a bit 5. Haven't played it, but it's the same concept.

Really hoping this mod gets as much support as it deserves. This is an absolutely fantastic idea that has the potential to become something way beyond a standard mod. It has the potential to become a total conversion zombie survival horror game. This could go so so far.
Lol kinda already has, besides adding more balance, rewriting more dialogue, maybe adding a few more zombie types/models, and implementing DLC, what else can i do lol?

@@kenterbee3191 it has been probably one of my favorite ideas to expand the mod, cant wait to model the royal guard zombies, make a few unique meshes for various important figures perhaps, and of course an especially mad Almalexia would be hangin around somewhere, but im not a scriptwriter, so questlines are more or less out of the question
@@joelsweeney4024 I'm not even certain this is something you could DO within the bounds of Morrowind's scripting capabilities, but if you could somehow implement a mechanic where you could /actually/ eradicate the Corprus population of a given settlement and then that place is fortified and brought back to normal, that would be insanely cool. A push and pull of zombies losing and taking over settlements while you try to get it all under control.
@@aurelionight i thought about it, but yeah, thats well beyond me in afraid. I even considered having all the zombies instantly die after you kill Dagoth Ur, but then there would be no endgame, so cut that
So this is the timeline that Bethesda warned us about when they tell you "With this character's death, the thread of prophecy is severed. Restore a saved game to restore the weave of fate, or persist in the doomed world you have created."
This mod is actually pretty cool, would love to see a longer playthrough!
Every single time Micky said “corpus” I understood “corporate”. So the video ended up sounding like the mad crusade of Micky against corporations.

I remember being terrified of the zombie at the start of the game in Oblivion as a little girl near where the goblins were. I didn't know Morrowind had zombies
aw yeah i can relate! i used to be terrified of the zombie in the oblivion tutorial sewers, and also the Fallout 3 subways haha, those were the days, actually being scared by stuff in games.
I played both morrowind and skyrim for more than a decade now
A month ago i tried oblivion and when i found the zombie i didn't felt scared, more like "wtf? this feels out of place for some reason"

As a kid, I was so scared of that zombie that I refused to start a new game out of fear of seeing it again, and I would only play within the boundaries of the Imperial City and surrounding villages because I felt safe there.
The only thing sadder than Caius Cosades being recalled is seeing him as a corprus.
Heartbreaking. He should’ve been a survivor hiding out somewhere
The Morbin Memes are funny because Sony saw it's Morbin time on the Internet and assumed it was a cult classic and brought it back to theaters were it bombed again
12:26 i love this goofy sliding when you get knocked down midair or sometimes while running. Especially because of the getting up animation during the slide. Always looks so funny
The zombies in this game look absolutely horrifying
I remember being terrified of them as a child. I’m still scared of them lol. Nothing was (and still is) scarier than coming across a corpus stalker. Especially if it’s in a dark place. I still have nightmares about them sometimes!
I was less scared of the Lame Corpuses though because when I was little, I thought it was like they’re just being called boring or dumb and I thought it was funny. I didn’t know what “Lame” meant in that context. I was a silly kid. 😆

@@nemeros1753 Same!! The Ashlands could get pretty scary. The Ghost Fence could get pretty terrifying too! Also have you ever been to that house in Ald’ruhn? Scared the absolute life out of me when I was a kid. I still can’t go in there. I can’t remember the name of the house, but it’s a mansion!

Played Oblivion with the Zombie Apocalypse mod on, and what a blast. Eventually it was just me and a few NPCs holding out in a barricaded church.
Did the guards try to arrest you for trying to steal an apple in the middle of a zombie apocalypse?

@@thatoneguy33198 I'd have to look up the name, but I think was something like that. Been awhile since I've played Oblivion.
I just remember you could customize it a lot, such as starting with just one patient zero and having it slowly spread from there, or just having an entire city infected right off the bat and the horde would move from city to city.

@@joelsweeney4024 I will admit... As someone who loved Dust, I honestly have thought of giving your mod a go. It looks neat and I love the story you went with for the mod.
Imo more games need mods like that. It's always so interesting, I mean, imagine playing through an alternate timeline of Skyrim where miraak won and inslaved everyone, or harkon blocked out the son, or alduin reconquered tamrial.
That Drasa Gilu guy house in Pelagiad made me laugh because he's a sleeper so I know one of the corpus stalkers is him lol.
Q: What to do in a game where fatigue actually matters?
A: Bunnyhop everywhere.
Playing Morrowind without jumping everywhere just feels wrong
So looking at the mod, I think atronach sign is probably the best you can pick at the start, absorb the spell from the dark brotherhood, ez armor, + against the mage zombies
The DB dont spawn anymore, bug fixed, sorry 😉
But yeah, being able to face the mage zombies is vital
yeah its actually piss easy. marksman + spear + light armour is the best way to play this mod, since you can easily stay out of reach of the slow enemies and poke them from afar.

I wonder if this works with Open MW. It would be cool to make a server of this. Add a few more NPC's to buy from and a whole lot more zombies for playing with friends.

It instantly reminded me of Falout New Vegas DUST mod. This mod btw... damn, author had some seriuos talent for worldbuilding and gamedesign. And it seems that he used all that talent to convey one and only one thing - *D E P R E S S I O N* I finished that mod twice in a row and memories of that experience still haunt me to this day.

Edit: I just remembered, there’s a zombie mod for Skyrim, there’s technically no new storyline, but there are scenarios…
As mod author, I'll just say Solsteim and Mournhold are unfortunately not implemented yet, but I was intending to add them if people were into the mod, and if mickyD's video did well. Now that the video's out, yeah I reckon its worth adding them, along with adding more polish, balanace, and maybe content outside of the DLCs

@@joelsweeney4024 Mournhold would be cool to see, it’s Morrowind’s seat of power, so it’d probably be really well defended. And as for Solstheim would Raven Rock be completed? I can see it being a safe haven, or maybe a staging area for imperial troops being deployed from Skyrim…
@@NineOneTwenty initially the infection wasnt meant to have expanded past the inland sea area, so Solsteim and Vvardenfell being infected was a given, as for Mournhold... Well... It'd just be cool lol, id have to write dialogue implying that the whole city is quarantined after some idiot teleported into the city whilst infected
Edit: and as for Raven rock, im honestly not sure yet, it would probably be best to enable the area, but theres so much quest scripting there that its bound to break something. Skaal will probably still exist, along with a few other remote communities and people.
Mournhold will be the final challenge, and will be almost exclusively swarming with undead, but a few pockets will need to be considered ofc.
@@joelsweeney4024 Maybe a full on siege? Quests that have you reinforce the sewers, help build a barricade in the lobby when someone infected gets teleported in? Almalexia going mad and opening the Dwemer ruins that are filled with corpus zombies? A last ditch effort by teleporting to the Clockwork city, only to find a zombified Sotha Sil?
*Deep spooky voice* RESIDENT N'WAH....3! 😂 This was a really neat mod and Idea though. The necromancers look awesome, and corprus monsters in armor is a cool addition

43 minutes of Micky D. Long-form videos like this could be a great alternative if you feel it's taxing to commit to a single multi-episode series of a specific playthrough. Viewers get days worth of content and you still have freedom to mess around with the games.
There's a Companion mod called "Raven Companion" (not a bird)
it's over 10 years old, maybe good for this mod
as it's a warrior class npc companion wearing glass armor with a glass war axe and shield,
that hangs out at outside the captains office at the beginning of the game.
Oh man this brings back memories of the zombie mod in Oblivion. It was the first zombie apocalypse experience for me. And it felt so realistic with the ability to barricade doors. Good times.
Shame on Rockstar for leaving undead nightmare on a patch that has a game braking glitch.

Even with horror mods and everyone being zombies. The scariest thing in Morrowind shall always be the Cliff Racers.

Red Mountain Redemption: Cliffracer Nightmare.
Lore fact: This mod isn't actually lore friendly, bc Dunmer wouldn't turn into Corprus beasts. They turn into Dreamers > Ash Slaves > Ash Zombies > Ash Ghouls > Ascenden Sleepers instead. Not a criticism, not every mod needs to be lore friendly, just a lore trivia.

There's a guaranteed Daedric dai-katana in Maesa-Shammus Egg Mine on a corpse. It's pretty much due west of Holamayan. There's also a Daedric battle axe in Ibar-Dad near the Urshilaku Camp.
That battle axe is well guarded, but I suppose Mickey could always "cough" on the golden saint and the level 80 or w/e locked door

Micky, there is an epic Oblivion mod called "28 Days and a Bit 4 - ZOMBIES". It creates a zombie apocalypse in Oblivion that spreads in real time. All NPCs are normal, but then zombies will spread from city to city and convert everyone unless you stop it. You get "spells" that act as barricading doors. You can barricade in a building and listen as zombies break in. Cities also get dynamically "ruined" with fire and other debris. You would love it!
