I just started my hair journey. I am shook at how much I didn't know about relaxed hair care. Never knew anything about protein deep conditioner. Didn't know anything about leave ins or a heat protector. No wonder my hair was breaking and shedding. Just didn't know. I appreciate you for sharing your hair routine with us. God Bless.
Hmmm for like 10 years. I have actually grown my hair to my hip before having postpartum setbacks and general stress in life before cutting and setting all over
I think my hair is 4b but honestly am not into hair types. I just do what works for my hair. High porosity i believe. At the end of the day i will say know your hair, listen to your hair and do what works for you but most importantly handle your hair with care and be patient
I love to ask questions because am now doing my hair at home cos the saloon at where I am it a disaster and i want to learn more to prove to them that our hair can be thick, healthy and super long. So please i will like to know how you kept your hair from breaking for the four weeks post relaxer without washing.
Wish you the best in your hair journey. During the four weeks my hair was in protective style 99%of the time. I will take it down once a week to moisturise and seal my hair. During that time i had two big braids with just my own hair or a bun. I try as possible to keep my hands out of my hair

Wow that means you did not do any of these on your natural hair?
@simplyzita I am relaxed and no I didn't. I do now that I am on my hair journey. I have learned so much from you and other influencers.

Beautiful hair! You have done a great job taking care of it! Can you please share what setting you blow dry your hair? Is it cold setting or low heat?
Thank you. I start with cold and then low heat. Once in a while i use high heat which is inefficient max on my dryer
