THANKS FOR WATCHING! If you enjoyed this video, go check out my next mod video where I give the front of the car an aggressive look! ruclips.net/video/JLX-wXdyxnM/видео.html
I honestly like that you’ve added different cars to the channel brother🤙🏼
That’s my plan all along. I love Mercedes but I was an Audi guy way before. Planning on the future to add more cars. Even a JDM and supercar. Of course, if budget permits. lol
Flexx Alexander that’s going to be awesome! Can’t wait to see the progress and future builds
sick ride and the way you displayed the parts online and diagram of underneath the car was very smart... great video
Thanks. I always try to make it easy for viewers to follow instead of wasting their time.
bro that simple diagram u did of what u we’re going to do earned u a new sub🤣 why can’t everyone do that
I take pride in my videos to give the most details I can to my viewers. 😎🤙🏼
I have a4 b6 cabriolet 3.0 v6 sport fwd ... i cut out the middle resoanater plus both rear mufflers and had MIJ build me 2 new stainless mufflers leading onto 4 stunning 4” stainless tail pipes ... the look is insane the sound is ...... loud and aggresive, cost all in was £395.00 ..... nice 🤩🤩🤩
It sounds nice 👌 and looks gorgeous 😍 I have same car same year and Sline but all black. My first mods were stage 2 paint correction and ceramic coating. CTS COLD AIR INTAKE,CTA TURBO MUFFLER DELETE, CTS DIVERTER BLOW OFF VALVE. YOU PRETTY MUCH HEAR THE TURBO SCREAM. I WILL BE DOING THIS MOD AS WELL.
Nice!! Wait until you see what I have in upcoming mods.
@@TheFlexxGarage DOPE! WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT ADDING THE STEERING WHEEL WITH PADDLE SHIFTERS?
I'm still in search for one for a good price. Everything I do for this car is on a budget (if possible). No way I'll spend more than $250 on a steering wheel. I'll just keep my eyes peels on deals online or junkyards.
@@TheFlexxGarage yeah... most definitely. When you start modding, things get expensive quick... But FOREALS BRO THANKS FOR THE VIDEOS.
Excellent vid. Sounds aggressive but still classy car! Best exhaust modification for the 2.0 I’ve heard. Thanks
Amazing 👌 Really appreciate the sketch of the exhaust setup, very informative !
I like the low growl sound might do something like this to the a4 I just bought.
sounds amazing, might have to be the first thing I do to it when I get my 2014 audi a4
Wow, probably one of the best custom made exhausts I’ve heard.
Interesting. I actually do like that there's some rasp to it. I might do this for my B9 A4. It'll also cost less than what I was planning. I do have a downpipe installed though, so my mileage may vary.
Bro u showed what needed to be done so simply. What a chad 😎
that's how I does it homie!
Great video. Nailed the comparison shots
Just found you Flex and love your vids. Excellent man. 👍😊
Welcome 😎🤙🏼
Perfect! Just what I needed! Thanks man!
Definitely sounded alot better than stock. Thats a good lower budget add on.
Good Job Alex ✌🏻 i like the new look.
wait until it's done...lol
Looking good 👌🏼😎 perfect sound 👏🏼
That sounds very nice these Audi's are way too quite stock
Hey bro so when they installed the second tip did you have to take off that shield to make them fit?
Unleash the beast! 👹
I was expecting something more aggressive lol. But great video better than stock. Car looks sick 🔥🔥
I couldn’t get that aggressive without either removing the mufflers or the cats. Those delete would make the exhaust illegal in my state. But it’s pretty decent sound for a 4 cylinder.
That's it bro you want to enjoy the car wherever you go i had a fucking remus on my a3 and it used to give me headaches driving at low revs on a highway that deep low base was hurting my head lol
Sounds much better than stock def.
Bro it looks and sounds awesome. Im doing something similar to my b8. Did you install a heat shield on the right side or done it without one?
No need on my car. On the right side is just a tube to exhaust tip. It doesn’t get as hot like if a muffler was there. Zero issues so far and I did the same setup with my previous Benz and no issues for over 5 years.
Did you end up doing it?
Since you had the exhaust on one side and not the other, when u did your custom exhaust to have 2 u didn’t need nothing to hold the pipes? Or any heat shields nothing? I’ve been wanting to this to mine but I seen on Audi-forums u needed all kinds of stuff and I’m still a bit confused. Any help?
Looks dope man
Perfect!
Nice Vid! Did you have to buy an additional exhaust hanger for the right side of the car?
no. A good exhaust shop will do everything and supply everything. I only supplied what you see in the video and my directions to them.
Do they have the heat shields ?
How much would the shop work cost
Sounds great
The exhaust shop installed there own y-pipe and customs pipes? You only bought the muffler and quad tips correct?
Yup. Exactly!
That’s what any good exhaust shop should be able to do.
If an exhaust shop only welds on components and don’t know how to fabricate their own piping to run underneath your car, then they should not be considered an “exhaust shop”.
@@TheFlexxGarageim curious, how much did you pay at the shop?
If I remember, it was like $300-$400 to get everything piped and welded. Cheaper if I went with aluminum instead of stainless steel.
Love it dude
Roar pedal will make this car a beast
Plus that resonator is probably heavy. 25 to 30 lbs. lighter car too. Looks so much better.
Does the magna flow muffler increase hp? Like does this exhaust gain or reduce any hp? Also if I want mine to be louder couldn’t I just remove the first resonator instead of the second and put on the magnaflow muffler? Any help is appreciated love the content brother 🤝
Mufflers don't really add HP. If so, it's very very little. The only way to truly gain horsepower from an exhaust is by removing restriction (like deleting the catalytic converter or installing a high-flow catalytic converter). Both of these will require a tune to the ECU of the car.
@@TheFlexxGarage what about the idea of removing the center res because I know it will be much louder? Is this a good idea? Thanks appreciate any help
Removing the first resonator will create a lot of drone inside the cabin. That’s why I removed the second resonator instead. And plus the location of the second resonator allowed me to put my new single muffler there, and then split it to the dual exhaust pipes and then to the quad tips. If I didn’t put it there, I would have needed to buy 2 mufflers and put one on each side of the rear near the tips.
@@TheFlexxGarage thanks I appreciate all the help
I have audi a4 2017 with muffler delete and the middle resonator delete too. The guy in muffler shop convinced me to put cherry boom on that resonator. I did and it sound just ok. I’m thinking put magnaflow like you on. What you think Flexx?
Awesome video. Question. I have an A4 with an APR tune and turbo muffler delete and a few other things. I have the 1st resonator deleted. How do think it will sound with just the muffler you installed with your set up?
It should deepen the sound and have a little more volume. Not crazy loud but it will definitely sound better.
@@TheFlexxGarage thanks!
Very nice
Great video, I gave the same car. How bad is the drowning in the car. Can you make a video on it?
there is none
so helpful
Sounds good did you notice any performance after ?
No. Most exhaust don’t really give performance gains until it includes a high flow cat with a tune.
@TheFlexxGarage ok cool thanks
Any problems after removing the second resonator? No engine lights or anything?
Removing a resonator has nothing to do with electronics, sensors, or check engine light.
Thanks, Flex! Good to know.
What’s the diameter of the piping?
Hey brother beautiful car, quick question , I have also the same car as you , did doing this give you any issues or any check engine lights
No
Why not buy a used Milltek/AWE/MF system off the Audi forum? I’m sure it would’ve sounded a little different. Also you could’ve kept your stock exhaust until you went to sell the car and put it back on. Just my take. Hope you have fun with your build
I really like the sound of your car right now. Do you think the magnaflow that you have will fit on my audi a4 b9??
sorry...I don't know how the stock exhaust is setup for the B9
Flexx Alexander it like the set up that you have right now. I just wonder the pipe size is 2.25” can fit to it
hello! whats your opinion if i delete both resonators and just install a single bullet style resonator and connect it with the same magnaflow muffler as you did?
hey flexx r the dsg farts still loud?
1. And your car looks crazy 🔥😍
I didn't see the y-pipe that you purchased in the description. Did you purchase one online or did your exhaust shop provide one for you?
Cause the shop has it. If it’s a reputable exhaust shop, all they need is your muffler and tips and they do the rest.
Hey, I was wondering what you did using a 2.25” inlet/outlet muffler and then using quad tips with a 2.5” inlet? Just wanna see where u switched up your sizing and what I’ll have to do?! Love the car hoping to copy!
I don’t know. I brought the parts, showed the muffler shop what I wanted and they make it all work. That’s what muffler shops do. They make everything fit. The only thing I picked was aluminum or stainless steel piping to connect everything. Aluminum will rust so it’s cheaper. I always go with stainless steel because I live in New England.
Hey Alex, question for you. Why did you choose the 13235 XL muffler and not the 11236 that other people have used? Is this one a bit more quiet? Buying this set up this week :)
@@TheFlexxGarage thanks for the reply Alex! That was my initial thought. Although the 13235 XL is single inlet/outlet. The difference I think is in the sound attenuation since one is larger than the other, I don’t want it to be too loud so I think I’m gonna order the one you have (13235 XL) and put the Y pipe after it
Oh wait. I confused the muffler on my benz for your question. Yes, both of those mufflers are single inlet to single outlet. I picked the 13235 XL cause I know the sound I was gonna get and I know it will fit.
Will this fit the same car but a 2016 model?
ayy chelmsford gang!!!
I use to live there like 10 years back.
Oh word I live in Westford now
How much does the maintenance cost ?
Flex did you happen to lose any back pressure? Like horsepower torque etc?
Nope. You usually only lose torque if you straight pipe the car (muffler delete).
@@TheFlexxGarage Cool thank you for the get back.
How much did this cost? Sorry to ask I just am curious because I’m thinking of doing the same
Add up the parts (diffuser, muffler, tips) and throw in a few hundred for labor. Not all shops gonna charge the same to run the custom pipes. You need to do your own research for your area. Including if it’s legal or not.
I must have been sleeping? :-) When did you buy Audi? Congratulations brother. :-)
I also bought a lambo too...did you not see the videos? just kidding. bought the audi a few months back as an interim car to mod during covid. Can't risk dumping money into a C63S (that I wanted) when the economy is trash and who knows if I will get to keep my day job.
I’d want single tip dual exhaust I like that look better.
I have the same vehicle, did the shop charge a lot for the work they did?
My shop charged me $1200 CDN
hey boss what are the custom pipes you got for the back of the car ? asking because i’m following your build as well for my audi
Look in the video description
@@TheFlexxGarage yea i got the muffler and tips just asking about the tubes you installed for the quad tips
The shop that did the work. Any exhaust shop can do it. You don’t buy exhaust tubing to be put on.
I’m saving up for an A4 and will also be doing a quad exit conversion but now I’m curious how would it sound like with your set up but also deleting the first resonator
Might sound more raspy cause that’s what happened to my turbo 4 cylinder Benz. You might some slight droning on the highway but who drives on the highway in silence. You bump the music!
@@TheFlexxGarage true 😂 and well idk like I love loud cars but I also love music so it’s a hard choice I can either yes make it loud and than take it to a shop to get the sound system upgraded or do your set up and still listen to my music
Did you end up doing it?
How much did the shop charge you ?
How much did the Y-pipe and the rest of custom piping cost?
Already answered that question in another comment.
where could you find the diffuser bumper
Can you put the link for the carbon fiber diffuser
Still a 4cyl sound. Nothing like a v6 Audi and or 8cyl which it’s better
@Jack Jones 💀💀🤣🤣💀
Hey man 4 inch tips are sold out but there’s 3.5 inch tips available should i buy those?
That’s up to you. I only go 4. Fills out the diffusers and looks mad aggressive.
Did you end up doing this ?
Do you have any idea how much custom piping costs at a shop? All I wanna do is run like 5ft of pipe
How much did this cost? Labour included
Already answered this questions in another comment
@@TheFlexxGarage I see thanks bro
where did you get that roof spoiler from bro?
Did you have to install a heat shield for the other tips?
Nope. Mufflers need heat shield cause it’s a lot of metal surface area. The muffler is in the stock resonator spot that has heat shield. Only thing coming out the back are 2-2.5” piping that’s not gonna give off so much heat it melts things.
Did you have to install hangers to hold up the other side?
the shop did it.
@@TheFlexxGarage thanks for the reply on a old video 🙏
Hey I hoping to do this to mine soon, one have 1 question. Did you need a heat shield for the right side because the gas tank is there ? Since adding another pipe would put off some heat ?
Im *
The pipe is not hot enough to cause issues. Only need a heat shield there is a muffler was going there.
@@TheFlexxGarage thanks for the reply ! I love your build, I also follow you on Ig. Keep it up 💯🔥
I installed the magnaflow in place of the first resonator and deleted the second and the muffler.
How did it sound??
Quad tips you linked are out:/
What would be the difference between a inlet 3.0 and an inlet 2.5 for the tips?
One has a bigger opening then the other. Stock pipes are usually 2.0-2.25” in diameter so I rather have a tip or muffler that’s close to that so it’s easier for the shop to connect them.
Only thing you missed was a cold/warm startup shot
How much fuel efficiency do you lose?
Did you get any error codes after the new exhaust?
Why would there be error codes anyway.
Is this New York State legal?
I didn’t hear any dsg farts is that because you still have the first resonator? I’m a car noob trying to learn haha :)
Don’t know. No point in removing the first resonator. Just gonna cause more unwanted sounds.
@@TheFlexxGarage oh okay gotcha thanks man! I dropped a sub :). So with your current set up do you get dsg farts when shifting at high rpms or no?
yeah bro definitely remove the first resonator to get more fart sound and it gives no extra drone. trust me i have a b8.5 A5 and experimented with almost every exhaust setup on it.
ALSO: these b8.5 a4's and a5's don't have a dsg gearbox, they have a cvt but they can also fart! its a little bit different tho
What engine do you have?
2.0tfsi as all b8.5 a4's had in North America
Sounds great! Now get a downpipe
It’s coming
Could I do this setup without the magna flow muffler and instead have no muffler and resonator one farthest from where the tips are?
Sure . You’ll need to find a shopping that will do that for you. Muffler deletes are illegal in most states.
Is the pipe from the 2nd resignator back 2.25 inch?
I believe so.
2.25” is usually the standard piping for most 4 cylinder cars.
Hey how did they mount your right side part? Did they make their own hanger?
Yes. Any reputable exhaust shop will know what to do for this setup.
@@TheFlexxGarage awesome thanks for the reply! Im getting mine done soon!
How much did this run you?
Probably around $400-$500 for muffler/tips/labor... and plus buying the diffuser to accommodate the new quad tips.
So if i put quad tips on my 2018 Honda Accord sport it’s gonna have sum sound?
tips are for looks. Cat/resonator/Muffler controls the sound.
Hey quick question , how much did you spend all together with parts and labor ? I’m in the same area and plan on going with the same setup. I go to Lou’s in Medford
Dont remember. I already answered this in response to someone else's comment. Just look for it.
How much are the side pipes and custom pipes?
Amazing sound! I have a question, i currently have an audi a4 2.0T 2009 with dual tips and i want to quad tip the exhaust, i went to the shop and they told me id need to figure out my gas tank situation first but all i see on youtube are audis with quad tip conversions and no one talking about the gas tank part. Please help 🤝
wondering the same thing! i have the same model and year
you mean the thing at the back of the car where the exhaust has to go around thats not a gas tank its where you spare tire sits under your trunk.
Are you burning oil, little bit of smoke on acceleration on stock exhaust
Nope
I’m looking to buy a 2012 Audi A4
I would say go after a 2013. They fixed some issues and you get the newer front end.
@@TheFlexxGarage I prefer the 2012 front grill but those headlights steal it for me on the 2013 model
Mechanically, the 2013 is superior. That’s why I recommend a 2013 over a 2009-2012.
@@TheFlexxGarage what mechanical things are wrong with the 2009-2012
does the setup pass emmisions?
I pass every year. I still have my cats and muffler and that’s all you need to pass in Massachusetts. I just don’t have resonators.
Where did you get your rear diffuser from?
I don’t remember. The details are in my diffuser install video.
Can you do this if you have ad blu tank on 1 side can you still do dual exhaust?@the flexx garage
How much louder would it be if I did both resonators instead of just the first one?
Not louder. Maybe a tad raspier. You can’t make a 4cyl engine that loud unless you delete the muffler but then you get drone and deleting the muffler is illegal in most states.
@@TheFlexxGarage Ok. I was planning on doing this but replacing both resonators with mufflers.
about how much did the whole process cost ? im thinking of doing this to my audi a4 s line b8.5 aswell but instead of keeping the first resonator, i will delete that too
Don’t remember. I think the labor was maybe $250 for them to run the pipes and weld. But you have to buy the muffler, tips, and diffuser.
I’m addition to this comment I also want to do the same, but Audi is a Non Sline, where would I be able to acquire the rear bumper for a non s line?
I think ESC tuning might have a diffuser for the non s-line rear bumper. I think.
Is this disel?
how much did it cost though to have the shop do it?
The labor to cut out the old stuff, run connecting pipes, and welding everything up was like $300-$500. I don’t remember exactly.
