Take it like this : whenever putting a number in a empty unit check if that number is there and not repeating in
1) its column
2) its row
3) Its 3*3 box
Fill all the empty units like this

An older asian man asked for the sudoku puzzle in the newspaper i was reading at a casino way back when and completed it pretty fast. So here i am, trying to learn it...will probably take hours to do my first puzzle IF i can figure it out! Is supposedly good for the elderly and maintaining cognition.
