Haven’t you then taken an affordable aio system and quadrupled the price and made it unaffordable?
Great video josh. Can't wait for the future updates.
Stay Tuned This is going to be an ongoing project :)
Love the upgrades awesome vid ...can you recommend a light that will work with the Fluval Evo 13.5 that can be used while still keeping the stock hood with little to know modifications? I'm looking for something that I can drop In like the stock light.
This channel is slept on
*just waking up* We have no idea what you're talking about...
I mean like this channel is under appreciated

Great video
Thanks :)
Thank you!
Hey I bought the ehiem pump from you and was wondering if you had to replace the tubing aswell cause mine doesn't reach the bottom and it's real noisy
just bought one any advice before setting up?
Is there another light option you recommend that retains the tank cover? I have a cat problem!!! LOL Or is there an upgrade mesh type cover that would work with this light you used in the video?
Hey, what animals did you put in this tank? Is there an updated video? Great vids thanks
Hi Josh! great video!! I've just got one of those tanks, I think Fluval is a really good make! You know with the upgrade! aren't there any Fluval products that u could use to do this?? 😀
Orbit marine current are excellent lights. You need a screen to guard from jumping. Get rid of the sponge and install InTank media basket and you need a skimmer. Move heater .
No protein skimmer?
interesting, would like to see in an update how you are going to deal with water loss. Just thinking that with an open tank like that, you would run into trouble with evaporation and fluctuating saline levels. I really do like the choice of pumps.
Stay tuned :)
But how many fish can you keep ?
Tutorial for setting up brackish aquarium? Pretty please?
I will put it on our list :)
So no skimmer?
How much would all of this cost including the tank
Tank is 160, upgrades add up to wait for it......523 for total of 683! LOL.
Like the upgrades. But not feeling the open tank
Totally understand...
Hey Josh! I have the same tank and I have made the same upgrades with flow, I was wondering if you have any recommendations on the flow schedule!! Would be much appreciated thanks !
Hey jhos isn't it the previous one video
**robot voice** technical difficulties, technical difficulties.
Im having a crazy case of deja'vu
Glitch in the Matrix?
😛
Every upgrade video removes the hood to upgrade lights....
If your going to replace most of the parts of an all-in-one aquarium, why not just buy a standard 10 or 15 gallon black frame tank and buy the the items you want to begin with? Seems like you're doing the same thing as buying an underpowered car and retro-fitting the parts to get it up to speed.
Think tuning... DIY and tuning your tank is fun.
The Tuning Spirit is strong within me :p
this video doesn't make sense what is the point of buying the Evo if you have to do all those upgrade you might as well build a nano aquarium from scratch
That's look easy to get clogged lol
If you got rid of all that extra pointless sponge in the filter and replaced it with some quality Biohome media from pondguru, water quality would be next level
Lol great system. Just replace everything. Why not just start with a 12 gal bare tank. Stupid marketing bs.
The idea of a starter aio is that you start with the basic aio tank and upgrade as you get more experienced and care for more difficult coral. The basic tank is great for softies and most lps but if you start getting into harder sps you need to upgrade lights and flow. But most beginners are starting out with shrooms and zoa etc not acros
The Current U.S.A lights are junk. They are rated at 18 watts for each fixture. So with one fixture you get only 18 watts. With two you get only 36 watts. This is not enough power for corals to grow and thrive in. They are low powered lights. On top of that, the controller routinely fails to run your program, or, just decides to do it's own thing. Their program also has like 5 or 6 hours of moonlights and would not save any night settings I put into it before replacing them. If you run a light schedule under 12 hours, your corals will hardly see any daylight. And you are only getting the full power of an already pathetic 18 watts if you are running every lights spectrum at it's peak. To say that it is a reef light is ridiculous. It is only two watts more than the stock light...I am not sure that counts as an upgrade.
I want a fish for free
