I have had a fresh water tank for few years in the past, took some break and now I got interested in getting a saltwater tank, I was not sure how or which and what to do, been researching for a while now. when I saw this video, MAN I gotta admit it is so well explained and how to set up a first Marine tank, I am definitely buying this Today. thanks For the video @Big AL BTW if I have any question I am definitely commenting and asking for your Help/advice
Big Al's but that’s stupid..having a heater is a basic necessity for starting a system not an upgrade to a system...your setting someone up to fail...we need Thomas back at least he shared information and was fun about it..this new guy sucks and is trying to hard..lost a viewer
If it's like the Spec V, the honeycomb is on the outside. It's also bonded on there very well; I've had my Spec V for a couple years now and it still looks like new.
First mistake I made was to use masking tape when I was spray painting the back glass black. Part of it rested on the honeycomb on the side and it came off with the masking tape when I removed it. That isn't much as a problem as it is hidden by the things I have mounted on the tank. The design on the Spec V is etched in, not stuck on, unless yours is an earlier version. Unfortunately on the front glass, it is coming off, about 5 1/2" in width already gone, and that is an area which does not get salt creep, and I keep the glass very clean. Had the aquarium for 8 1/2 months and all this started to happen within the last 4. I will eventually scrape it off. It's not looking that bad, yet.
Live in a closet they need big tanks they get very big just cause you buy them small at a pet shop doesn’t mean they say that size kind a like goldfish
He just said a goby was smiling😂😂😂 they’re like the most grumpy fish ever
It sure looks like a mean mug... lol
It's almost like that's the joke.
Bingo :)

I love that saltwater aquarium 🐟🐟👍💖
It's a very cool AIO system :)
Looks amazing I'm always amazed by the pistol shrimp
It is a very cool invert that shows a great symbiotic relationship with gobies.
Hi!! I love the video & I find it really helpful because I have the exact same Fluval tank arriving on Wednesday !! 😁
Awesome review and content, keep it up
Thank you Raul Medina!
:)
Just now saw this video & its perfect as I was thinking about trying 1 of these! Good review Thank You!!
Makes sense that Josh would be a water-type trainer.
:)
So no talk of a heater? That be pretty important right at the start of starting a tank...
We have an upcoming video about how to customize the EVO 13.5- including adding a heater! Stay tuned!

Makes sense why Thomas left big al’s
The kit was setup with what it comes with. Heating will be covered in the next Evo video :)
I am sorry to hear that :(
I bought the caribsea life rock shapes before. If you break a piece in half you’ll see it’s half aragonite and half cement
Can you use this for freshwater too?
AquaFiish yes
do you have a video on how much and what additives to add to tank? with corals and fish?
Is the biomax required or can I use just the carbon?
Great video! How many Kilograms of live Sand did you add to the tank?
So im not seeing anything that would make this only for salt water. Anyone use it for freshwater?
No heater?
thank you for sharing the new Fluval Aquarium with all of us watching, it is truly appreciated.
Gave the video a like.
It is a nice looking aquarium.
Ultimate Fishkeeping Show Fluval evo isn’t new, been out well over 2 years now
Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
I thought it was new, as I had never seen it before, sorry.
The kit isn't new but the video is :)
O.K. sorry, I thought it was as I had never seen it before.
Anyhow, I like it none the less.
Thank you for sharing, gave the vid a like.
Thank you Ultimate Fishkeeping Show and no need to apologize :)
Is it glass or or acrylic?
I’m using DRY ROCK
*puts live rock in
Is it necessary to buy the protein skimmer?
Yea buddy!
RCMrtnz, glad to see you back. Hope you had a great trip in Cali and can't wait to see more of your vids!
Honeycomb design is nice, but it's going to come off, gradually.
If you clean periodically, it shouldn't peel off but if you allow salt creep to accumulate it wont last long.

My coworker scraped it off and it still looks good, but I'm going to keep mine until it is necessary.
I'm regretting not buying an aio tank I literally might upgrade to one when I have the time and money
Does the skimmer actually work
Awesome review!
Thanks!
Thank you Jr Flores!
Nice
can i use this for fresh water
???
Question, what is the reason reason for such a thick substrate bed?
potentially more stability in water parameters/more surface area for bacteria
Hi David, I am a big fan of deep sand beds. There are pros and cons with having a deep sand bed, but more will be revealed in our #ProjectEvo series
How can you tell if it’s cycled
You can keep most lps in this
Very nice 👌🏻 i wish i had a saltwater aquarium, too bad its so expensive.. P.S. who is יהושע?
The kit itself is actually REALLY affordable!
Not in israel
Do I hear a budget saltwater system in the works?
Josh L Make a video about aquarium on a budget
I will work on that :)
Can I get a discount code????🙏🏻
Is that light even good enougj?
You really glazed over quite a few important points didn’t you ?!
👌👌👌👍👍☺
Can I put a small lionfish in it?
Seems way to small.
If I buy this tank... can I use it as fresh water
Sure you can buddy. Filtration is pretty much the same concept... and do your water changes and you'll be fine
What happened to Thomas?
Thomas B thank goodness Im gonna go subscribe to your next channel.
Thomas B no prob man
Hey I love Josh but we gotta admit miss that sexy man Thomas... but Thomas is moving rn so Josh will do 😂😂 #alljokes
Ha haa, thank you :) He is working on new content :)
Does it come with a heater???
No.
Necesita skimer
7th comment i love the pistol shrimp
He’s awesome, right?!?
Very cool like a mini bull dozer.
Josh L yes
Needs a better pump
Stay tuned for the next video!
there's too much sand in there
13.5, looks like a 10g tank
Can you keep an octopus in this tank?
Keelan Brannan that is a no go.
Not recommended.
heck no
Keelan Brannan, As cool as it would look and octopus would not be a good choice for the EVO.
Live in a closet they need big tanks they get very big just cause you buy them small at a pet shop doesn’t mean they say that size kind a like goldfish
Eecond
Good effort ! :)
Next time :)
