Nicely done... pity it was flooded. Very true when you say it could be dangerous for someone who didn't know the layout. Stepping over that ledge at the doorway could end badly.

Hi Urbexy, thanks for the comment. For sure I wouldn't like to unwilling walk past that door frame, you'd get a nasty surprise when you suddenly disappeared below the surface of the water.

Cheers buddy. The fire brigade use the bunker as a holding tank for putting out moorland fires 🔥

Just been to the reserve transmitter bunker at Bawdsey in Suffolk which I assume was of a similar layout but was dry as a bone so can fully appreciate just how deep that water would have been, its amazing how so much has gotten in over the years.. Interested to know if the receiver bunker would have been nearly too.. 🤔

Excellent. Yes some sites had both bunkers next to each other and the other sites had one at each end on the site. I think the fire brigade flooded this particular one to use in moorland fires as a back up reserve of water but yes they are deep and I wouldn't have liked to have fallen in, god knows if there would be any sharp objects below the water line. Thank you for comment and happy hunting 😀

If there's a worry about falling below water wear a flotation suit. Or chest waders and a buoyancy vest, sorted 👍

I knew there was no voids to fall through but if anyone else does anything similar to this then that is great advice 👍

Thanks David. Yes it would have been great to get inside the other rooms as I've not been in one if these bunkers before so would be good to have a look myself.

Nice find nick! how the hell you find these places? You'll have to get down South to that spittle off the coast where we did some of our nuclear shock tests, mind I hear it's got unexploded ordnance strewn about and it's probably off limits. God I thought I was nuts creeping about these places your well up for it lol. Blue. Sod that ! water plus confined space no ta very much. Nick your nuts man which of course is cool👍.

😄 🤣 thank you blue, wait till my boat arrives and I will show you some cool places 😀 I'm also gonna check those cliffs at Bempton properly too with the boat. I don't mess about you just gotta get in there. I find these places just by doing research buddy, it helps to know what should be on these old sites as most of them all had pretty much the same layout. 😀

@@NicksExploration very cool nick, stay safe buddy👍 AHH yeah BEMPTON and that door/hole, I dunno what ta tell ya mate I know I definitely saw an entrance in the cliff and some other guy said the EXACT same place I said I saw it and he didn't know id seen it too. Maybe it appears and disappears 🤷🏻 I do know Barry Fitzgerald top UFO researcher has come across cave entrances only to go back and "puff" there gone. ! Now I know it's a stretch but it's all I got buddy. Strange place Bemton for sure.
