Really nice find. It's always very interesting to be able to have a look around these old military sites. Great to be able to have a look back into our not-so-distant past. A lot of these buildings were probably built to a standard design, yet they all seem to have their own unique points. Nice video and thanks for showing us around.
My dad was on the anti-aircraft guns, at a place he called "corporation field". When I asked him if they shot down any aircraft he replied "probably not but we scared a few".
Great video Nick and thanks for sharing. I know the area but didn't know that place existed. I found your exact location and will plan a trip and check it out. Have you done the old bunker at the tip of Spurn point? It's in ruins though and quite a mission to get there nowadays now the road has disappeared..
Hi thank you. I think I know what bunker you mean at spurn. Is it under one of the Gun platforms? I haven't been o spurn for year's. I recently tried to get permission to fly my drone on there but they said no because its a protected site, but if I pay a fee then I can :/
@@NicksExploration Yes under the platform! Sending a drone over would of been great. Bloody council, "no unless you pay" sounds about right with them..
Its Yorkshire Wildlife Trust that's the problem. Yes that's the bunker I tried to get in about 13 years ago ha. Is it big down there ? Probably magazines? I did dig one of the tunnels out years ago that's next to the Coast Guard tower. I was ill for a week after with all the crap in the sand that had been down there years.
It would have been nice to have found an old timer who might have remembered the gun emplacements when they were intact and could have given some proper details of what was where and how it functioned. Maybe there are some military records still in existence somewhere?
Hi John. I have more information regarding this site now so will be doing another video soon and hopefully share more information 😀 keep your eyes peeled
Thanks :) yes I went years ago and got photos. I will be going back at some point and filming the location. I did look to find the owner after I left sunk island but wasnt in. I always try and get permission before if i can. Saves annoying the farmer and spoiling it for other explorer's in the future.

Great video. One of the most interesting features of these structures is the complete absence of graffiti.
Rare these days not to find graffiti at these kinds of sites. Dont think the yobs could be bothered to walk to this one
Very interesting mate, well done 👏
