- Just a short video on a comparison between my Remington 1911 RAC BB pistol and my Umarex 1911 A1 pellet pistol. 16 shots each, 10 Metres, single action and free standing. Bit gusty today and temperature was at 10 degrees Celsius. Both these pistols are fun to shoot and if you give them around 15 seconds between shots, for the Co2 to stabilise, the accuracy would be more consistent too. Though really for tin can and plinking the pellet 1911 A1 is certainly capable of an inch group at 10 metres, in single action. More time with the iron sights, as both pistols have very good single action triggers, the accuracy will come. One take video, hope you all enjoy.

I just removed ALL of the finish on the slide apart from the the thumb grips, l can still see finish on yours around the Remington part, l completely removed that on both sides tho the printing on the other sides smaller its embedded into the metal so far, l used 80 sand paper at the beginging, then, 280 super fine wet n dry to remove all the minute wave scratches, cleaned it with wd40. Then toothpaste let it dry crusty then damp sponged that off, then super fine wet ndry again, another toothpaste clean, and then a buffing with a Dremel then a microfiber cloth, looks like mirror glass now, now, probably dazzle anyone around when its sunny lol, but yours was great idea, and l hated the writing so thanks for that mate. 👍
Thanks for the video...I shoot my Umarex 1911 colt pellet pistol on my home range (USA) calm days 8 inch steel plates at 40 yards. I generally get around 50 good shots from a CO2 cartridge. Btw first couple of shots are generally high due to the extra pressure. It is a good shooter in single action.
You welcome. Here in the UK we are a bit limited for space, and this pistol is capable of longer ranges, at larger targets. I might make some videos of soup cans further out in the future, they are just under 3 inches in diameter. I think the 1911A1 could hit them at 20 Metres, 22 Yards fairly easily. 🇬🇧🇺🇸
I'd previously avoided the Remington as that writing splashed on the side but wow, that looks good. Great job. 👍 I'm going to get one now.

What did you do to change the slide on the RAC, look brill.
Just removed the slide, masked it will tape, and polished up with Autosol metal polish.
Ive got this gun just before xmas l hate the writing on it ( theres no need for it is there ) l will follow your tip.

Nice, where did you get the grips from please?
Search online and you will find plenty. Make sure they are wooden, as you will need to trim them to fit.
