Having been arrested for a non firearms offence having the police look over my air gunsI think the C is just to save the police and the customer time as soon as the fire arms officers conferermed that all my guns ar co2 or spring powered they stopped investigating. No guns were seized. the build of the. Standard cp88 is so realistic that offficers could be so scared of the "gun" that they may not bother to look till youve been booked in to a cell Opinion based on own experience
I just picked up the M 29 Smith & Wesson I’d like it due to the pellets I was looking at this one for my collection I like the hard case will come in handy for my P 16 take care
I have the black version of this gun and The brass pin wasnt sized right and loading new co2 is extremely difficult, I contacted Umarex and they said they 1 dont warranty outside of canada and also they didnt have any of those pins. This was also after owning the gun for 2 months and now im basically stuck with this. The gun feels and shoots great but if your outside of canada your screwed as well as if you ever need parts for it.
Great review...but now im really confused...I love the beretta umerex 92fs .177 And Ive heard so much about the crossman 2240 .22 for power. Oh no...and now this?? Please help.....which one??
With the compensator removed, what is the outer diameter of the barrel? my compensator got dinged and I'm contemplating putting a 1/2" UNF adapter on it though it will have to be drilled so the barrel would pass through, just wanting to make sure that the barrel OD is not bigger than the root of the 1/2 UNF thread.
Hi there. They tend not to like pointed pellets. The pointed pellets can cause jams. The best thing to use if you have any are flat wad cutter ones like RWS Gecos, if not domed pellets should be ok. I hope this helps :)
Nice review. But don’t EVER put your hand or finger over the barrel, to close the breech action or for any other reason. I think you did this twice. It’s just bad safety practice, and you should actually point out in your video that this is the wrong way to close the gun, instead of doing it yourself. Show safe, be safe.
I realize this comment is five years after you posted this. That said Umarex doesn't have rights to the Walther name they own them. Umarex acquired Walther in 1993 in fact they saved them from bankruptcy.
You need to check with a gun shop in your country; rules vary substantially among nations. In the UK no firearms licence is required for an air gun such as this with 6 (six) or less foot pounds rating. You must be at least 18 years old in the UK to buy & own an air gun.

Love your work mate. Cp88 one of my favourite pistols as you know but never owned a competition version so great review
Hi, nice video. I got hold of some target sights but having trouble with fitting the front one, can you help?
mine is great and does not jam when released

That grip seems pretty beefy I don't get why didn't they run the mag through the grip.
The only thing that annoys me is the compensator doesn't exactly line up well with the rest of the gun,the lines are off
Damn, I want that micrometer sight. Nowadays it seems to be impossible to buy it anywhere :(
Great Review; mine came today without an Owners Manual so this video definitely saved my butt. Thanks again and nice job on the video!
Thank you Ron :)
I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoyed mine!

THIS ONE IN BLACK
nice review Matt keep up the good work
David. Williams Thanks David :)
Any clue where to get that rear sight?
The "C" is added to make a difference with the original pistol for legal reasons, because it's a very good replica of the real one...
a great co2 pistol and a great revue
+stephen “gunrunner” hanson
Thank you Stephen :)
What is its price in UK, sir?
Are yr grips the Silco walnut 1s?
how much fps you got? which best pellet for this
How can I upgrade the front sight of my CP88 to a fiber optic?
Hey Matt, cracking review. That release catch issue could just be a weak return spring.
Dean
Britishandproud Thanks Dean. You may well be right, I'll have a look at it :)
i've got the same pistol with the same catch issue, must be a design fault
The Airgun Hub I have the same issue. Just don't over rotate.

Great looking air pistol
Very beautiful pistol.🇺🇸
450fps + from these. Have you tried a laser sight on it ?
no it's only 320
Cool airgun! Will this work with pointed pellets like the 4.5 H&N hornet?
where did you get the wood grips?
Thanks!

ok thanks! What about the walnut grips? are they for sale online somewhere? :D

Great review
Чи можна купити і як це зробити.
great review Matt -- thanks -- cheers
The C in "CP 88" is reference to the CO2 power source.
Carry Pistol
I heard the "C" is for compact. This real gun comes in a P88 and a compact P88. This air gun version is the smaller compact unit.
@@storyman34 It's not, it's the larger 1. The C doesn't stand for compact. It stands for Carl as in Carl Walther
Volevo sapere i yiaun
why would you want or have competition anything on a co2 pistol
My SA trigger pull is almost 7 pounds.
C/compatition p88 or cp88
Gorgeous pistol, I just ordered the blued version. cheers!
top review mate good job
Awesome pistol!
Kinda jealous of those sights.. But I know that I do not need sights like that. Shoots hard and accurate enough on 10 meters and less.
I seen one of these shoot at over 540 fps and made over 3.2 foot pounds.
It stands for Carl as in Carl Walther
I can not find this gun for sale anywhere. WTF?
How many feet per second /ft.lb. ?
condore 76 about 450 average can hit 485
C could mean competition or co2

I want to buy this if licence is not necessary

Where do I go to buy this gun? Anyone?

Thanks b4
