Hope your well & safe mate, 6 year old channel now but found a brand new one old stock box, tools, mags, RWS pellets, Nickel 4" version. Split mint £150 09/2023. £150 i didnt have either. Too good to miss. Rare as hen's teeth.
@The Airgun Club - Cool video, thanks for sharing - My RWS standard pistol's serial number is E0143814 a much earlier iteration compared to your E7380766 'target' variant, but still works as well today, as it did when I first purchased it more than two decades ago. A great little pistol to introduce my son to target practice, which incidentally is fairly close to the weight of the real thing. 👍🏻
Great review, thanks! I bought one of these new from a shop near me back in 1996 / 1997 I believe. Yep, it should have foam cut outs in the case. Mine doesn’t eject co2 when I decock. As I decock I pull the hammer back and lower it back to the pin. I’ve always loved it and when serviced it’s like new. Loads of fun, nice and accurate. Now I shoot it with my nephews. Gun for life I’d say. Cheers
I've recently dusted mine off, cleaned it up and it's nearly ready to fire. I don't have the original case or paperwork for mine anymore. The original case came with foam cutouts for the gun, to the bottom left was a cutout for a tin of ammo, just in front of the trigger guard was a cutout for two magazines. Just above the ammo tin was a cutout for a single co2 cartridge. Need to get some parts for mine. The decocking lever drops the hammer hard enough to make the gun discharge (which it didn't do when it was brand new), and the screw and spring assembly to hold the barrel extension enclosure in place have been lost. Moral of the story: Never leave your gun somewhere where a sibling who also likes guns, will take it apart and lose most of the pieces. Even lost my barrel cleaning brush!
I recently inherited this pistol, which was an attic find next to some pretty worthless fishing equipment. It cost me 35 quid to have it fully serviced, meaning the seals were replaced. I took it to my friends BBQ for a plinking session and they basically described it as a hand cannon..! Lol
Excellent review, I just bought a black one to add to my CP88 and S&W 686. BTW, the case should have inset foam, but it's two pieces stuck together and mine had separated and needed to be reglued. Yours appears to have the top layer missing. Also, the decocking lever should hold the hammer and slowly lower it, but I prefer to use the trigger to decock.
Have the shorter Nickel 4" one myself in original box, all serviced and working well. Lovely solid and well made pistols, just rarely get a chance to use mine as concentrate mainly on Benchrest In 2 minds whether to keep hold of it as almost pristine condition or to let it go
Where did you get it serviced? My target has a leak and I was told by my local gunsmith that the standard Umarex replacement valve doesn't fit. Might be helpful to get a second opinion.
@@chrisbaker4849 I just stripped it down myself, I always try to keep the o-rings and seals lubed but do notice a very slow leak in mine too, just don't hold pressure from CO2 bulbs for long when left in pistol
nice pistol , decent price as well , ideal for fun in the garden , target shooting and general plinking , recon thats what its made for . unlikely too be used as vermine control , I dont think it would be accurate enough . weihrauch have a new pistol coming out , the HW44 pcp , and at WELL over £400 well out of most folks price range specially as the pistol reviewed here ( at a quarter of the price ) will do exactly the same job ..
The hammer should fall half way when decocked and doesn't release any gas, at least thats how it works on mine. (Black 4" with 6" Target conversion and target sights .) Also available is an 11mm sight rail that fits onto the rear sight. Box should have a foam cut out. £150 in 1998 A well proportioned heavy (2lb 10oz) pistoll
