Another selling point on Symbiotic Health: you get any buffs applied to your team. Otherwise I would be much more inclined to take the buffed Resilience skill.
Two quick tips I really recommend (at least for solo play): When running resilience, it may sound counterintuitive, but try to keep your HP low (around 50) and your armor high between rounds, as Resilience affects the amount of damage your armor takes too. By keeping your HP low, your armor will be able to Tank a LOT more damage than if you were at 100 HP. Only heal yourself when your health drops to about 30 or so, as you don't want to let a Siren sneak up and bypass your armor. Second, the HRG Incision is devastating for Solo play, as each tick of DoT from Acidic rounds will deal the equivalent of a single Incision shot, meaning one shot can technically deal the equivalent of 3 or 4 shots, making ammo economy much easier. Similarly, a single bullet from the upgraded once med pistol anywhere to the body will kill any trash Zed on any difficulty, so just fire one bullet into each crawler/clot etc and then move on to the next enemy, even if you don't get a headshot.
Personally, I usually bring the Medic AR & the Medic Shotgun and medic pistol. If I have the dosh and no one needs it, I usually buy the upgrades for the primary weapons and get rid of the pistol. The AR is great for small to medium zeds while the shotgun works wonders on Scrakes but also against Quarterpounds & Fleshpounds! Picking the 501-grenade rifle over the standard AR is also a pretty good option. If acidic rounds are used the shotgun can 100 to 0 a scrake before it even gets a chance to do anything because of the poison induced panic.
For me I really like the healthrower with hrg incision for specially dealing with scrakes and recently I've been using the freezethrower after recent change in exchange for the HRG incision and I really like it ables me to run around near my teammates not just sitting in a corner but for 6mans lobby I usually go with healthrower and the HMTech 501 for that 10 more med grenade and dropping buffs like candy
When soloing with medic I usually melee everything except husks until the big boys show up. Combat Medic melee is stronk thanks to additional perk damage and poison
Nicely done. The Incision upgraded and upgraded smg are my medic endgame loadout choices. If the team is struggling I'll take the medic grenade launcher.
I see people praising the incision all the time but I dont get it. I struggle with it. The wonky re-load after 1 shot, the atrocious scope (any scope in game rly) the fact you have to use said scope to actually make your darts lock on to friendlies and go trough enemies is just urgh.
@@lycon7000 it has massive damage for a medic weapon, and also emps so you can get two shots on a fleshpound before it rages and stop running a running scrake back to a halt Edit: I believe it also has the most potent darts so one dart on a person not in danger will get them to full health or damn close so you can one and done them and focus on the rest
Do aggressive Medic builds not work well on team games? I usually pick Combatant Doctor and Battle Surgeon while keeping everything else on the left side because my strategy is to killing everything as fast as I can in order to minimize damage my team receive. And if I pick Battle Surgeon, should I not take any off perk weapons? Does Airborne Agent also heal yourself on top of other teammates? Does this skill and medic grenades only apply one stack of the left side skill buffs or multiple stacks if you stand in them for longer? Does the Hemogoblin debuff to Zeds stack with consecutive shots to the same Zed, or does this just refresh the original debuff's duration?
You can go with an aggressive medic build in a team and make it work. If you go with Battle Surgeon you can go with off perk weapons if you would like I would still recommend having at least one medic weapon though. Airborne Agent can heal you if you are running Symbiotic Healing. If you are not or not healing anyone then it will not heal you. Both the Airborne Agents and the Medic grenades buffs can apply multiple times the longer you stay in it. It will also refresh the duration and these effects can be applied to yourself. The Hemogoblin doesn't add more stacks of debuffs but it does refresh it and will do more damage over time the more needles are in the zeds.
The acdic rounds only add 1 dps. You are better off keeping the left side perk. Drop a nade and get your buff and you will do more dmg then acidic rounds. Can solo or clutch 6 man HOE ezpz as medic
@@ReapeeRon for solo play no big deal but in a squad the down side to is the precision perks now cant get good clear shots on zeds. If I want to poison panic somthing I dart it. Saves ammo.
Medic is still pretty strong in solo you are probably the mostly tanky class. It can be hard to level up medic quickly though because you aren't healing others.
@@ReapeeRon I feel the three best tank classes are SWAT, Berserker and Medic. SWAT because of the heavy armor level 5 perk (survivalist too, now that I think about it). Don't most big Zeds have high damage resistances to toxic damage?

They're just going combat medic, no problem. lol.

That works too, Medic can use really anything they want and going for a well rounded loadout like that can help you combat just about anything.

Sounds good to me. Medic is super flexible and those medic grenades are amazing!
I use that and grenade rifle
The hemogoblin does a TON of healing if you're running primarily healer
Yes, it does.
Great video! I've been playing medic alot and it's easily my favourite perk in the game
Same here!

One of the builds i like for the medic is more on the offense but can kinda help the team do more damage is the hemoglobin and the kaboom stick
