Scorcher is the best ground fire weapon imo, I usually take it with the helios rifle for cleanup to take care of the big guys who don't die to the ground fire
Hmm...based on the info I've learned so far it seems that microwave, piercing and bludgeon dmg types are the best because of big zeds and bosses having low resistances against them. I am not sure of the bludgeon but I remember Matriarch has low resistance to it.

That’s interesting going for going high cap tank, I never had an ammo issue with firebug since I just tap with the CNB and Flamethrower and it’s enough to kill for the first couple of rounds till I can buy the better weapons. Overall I agree with a lot of the builds outside of just tapping with the CNB to save fuel and you don’t really need High Cap Fuel Tank ever.
Whenever i play as the the firebug, i always go for the dragon's breath and the mac 10, but i use bring the heat and it is kind of a toss up between more damage per second with barbecue for those two or stronger molotovs with ground fire
Any thoughts on pairing dragonsbreath with the microwave gun or husk cannon? I find that dragonsbreath covers hallways pretty well (fairly common area on most maps) and like you mentioned- the microwave gun and the husk cannon are both amazing with bosses and anything else with metal on it. My standard go-to is getting a dragonsbreath on wave 2 and pushing for microwave/husk on later waves and it seems to work most of the time. I usually go with Bring the Heat, Ground Fire, Napalm, and Heat Wave- but I'll have to try the High Capacity and Zed Shrapnel a bit more. Thanks for the tips (and for pointing out the microwave alt fire I've been neglecting to use this entire time)
Great guide, but I was surprised that you didn't touch on the fuel conservation aspect of playing firebug when using the caulk n burn/flamethrower/microwave gun: - Tap the fire button - don't hold it - Aim at the ground in FRONT of each zed, then sweep upwards to ensure each tap of the trigger inflicts all three types of damage the firebug is capable of (ground fire, impact damage, and after-burn) With this playstyle there is no reason you can't choose the lvl 5 'Bring the Heat' skill and still have plenty of ammo for the caulk n burn/mic gun/flamethrower unless you're playing on HoE with a full group maybe. Also, the microwave gun can knock large zeds down (using the secondary attack,) making it the best choice, but that's only my opinion.
Wait so why not take +35% damage over double mag size? Does it not increase all damage on the class’s weapons since they all deal fire damage or is it only for caulk’n burn/flamethrower that get +35% in that case it’s garbage
You can take bring the Heat if you want. It's good on all of the weapons, I usually find it more useful to take the larger tanks as I am mostly trying to kill small zeds, and just the ground fire will kill all small things in a few seconds. The C&B, Flamethrower, and Microwave gun get the least use out of it because they have low base damage, they relay on DPS and Ground fire to kill.
Here's a spicy Firebug challenge for you. Firebug but play it like its KF 1. Restrictions - No upgrading weapons - No sprinting unless you have a melee weapon out - No blocking or parrying Special ability selection Level 5: Either one, KF 1 firebug gets more ammo and lots of damage passively Level 10: Barbecue, groundfires don't exist in KF 1 Level 15: Napalm, because the fire DOT lasts a LOOONG time in KF 1 Level 20: Firestorm, because Firebug got passive flamethrower range in KF 1 Level 25: Either one, because there were no zed time superpowers in KF 1. Allowed weapons (besides for starting pistol, knife, and grenade obv) - Mac 10 - Spitfires - Flamethrower - Dragonsbreath - Husk Cannon
I know Firestorm seems a very underpowered perk, but i tend to like IT early on with the caulk, IT become a firethrower fiesta wave, the Ground fire does enough damage early on to clear anything in sec... When There is 5 players u tend to get more kill because u can splash ground fire very far and anyway zed instant die. As soon as i am able to switch to the real firethrower i replace with heat wave. I always end up better with this Strategy, because the caulk is a very bad Weapon in my opinion. Just giving my personnal opinion on This perk because i was Never using IT before i tested IT extensively. ;)
Caulk is very bad? Wut?! Ok, Firebug has better options, agreed, but Caulk is one of the best starter weapons of all. Can deal pretty good with tons of trash :3
Can I PLEASE get a video describing all the technical stuff on firebug. I want to know damage multipliers, possible combos, damage numbers. Everything, and I can’t find it ANYWHERE
I don't remember the spitfires creating blue ground fires with the skill, so I just assumed it didn't effect them. Same with the husk cannon. Is it just a visual (fire) bug?
Does Bring the Heat affect fire DoT or the damage of ground fire, or only direct damage? My standard loadout is Helios Rifle with Flamethrower. For this loadout, would you recommend Bring the Heat or High Capacity Fuel Tanks, and Barbecue or Ground Fire? I won't use any Microwave weapon on Zeds smaller than a Gorefast as they have a 75% damage reduction to it as the other Firebug weapons are more ammo efficient at killing them.
I believe that bring the heat only effect direct damage. Your standard loadout sounds pretty good too. I would probably switch back and forth between Bring The Heat, and High Capacity Fuel Tanks, I like both of them. I would probably run Barbecue with that loadout because I would probably use the Helios Rifle more so then the Flamethrower.
"spend your dosh and shut up" is the best line in the game by far
Finally found an up to date guide to firebug. Thank you sir!
No problem! Hop it helps you out!
I consider heatwave to be as essential for the firebug as the first e is for your name.
That's not one that I have heard before lol. You guys are getting very creative 😅

Really? I find it pretty useful with the dragons breathe and spitfires.
fire control is the best way to play firebug and you don't ever use fuel tank on Hell on Earth. Tap fire is key
Whenever i play as the the firebug, i always go for the dragon's breath and the mac 10, but i use bring the heat and it is kind of a toss up between more damage per second with barbecue for those two or stronger molotovs with ground fire

Those are strong too, you got a good amount of crowd control and single target damage.

Cool!
I'm using Hellos rifle and double spitfire and I like it how set up for long wave or big zeds and boss.
Awesome that is a great combo.

uld make it a series where you play each of the 7 KF 1 perks in KF 2 like they're still the same.

Ya, it can be good for the C&B giving it the same range as the Flamethrower. It's just Heat wave is so strong.
@@ReapeeRon yeah! Definetly the Stronger perk, its one of my fav perk in the Game, IT really gives a noticeable boost all Game long no matter what.

Maybe, that one is going to be strange and kind of confusing.
I go to the wikis and forums and it’s all very confusing to look at. Like I don’t know what a DOT multiplier is but it sounds useful
