    I agree with you 100% Everything you said made logical sense! Too many people react with emotion rather than seeing what it actually going on. I am very upset because the cost to install my system also included the service on Installation. Generac needs to take responsability for their poor parts.

    I have solar install in NC with Solaredge inverter design. My installer shared that all other installers are getting called to service customers. I had Solaredge installed six years ago and had 2 optimizer failures. However, the architecture only fails output of single panel vs. the entire system. Check local installers they may help in making the system operational. Great channel

    At least you are getting help from Generac. I had a Generac system installed 14 months ago from a different dealer and can't get it serviced. I called Generac and they told me to keep calling other dealers and good luck. The lady refused to help me find a dealer in my area. I have already called 6 places with no luck. I blame Generac equally for poor customer service making this worse.

    Hi i work for Solar services in Virginia beach and we been working behind pink energy work and what we found are very poor installation like pv links are to close to each other that will make a fault the pv links needs to be 6 feet apart... wires being pinch between the panels the wires are not being crimped togerther missing snapRS the snapRS being left on the roof getting wet they should be attach to the panels.... after we found all the problems on the roof we restarted the inverter and reset and got it back working right... But alot of customers have been having alot of problems sorry that is happening to you....

    • @PilotInCommand777
      @PilotInCommand777 2 года назад

      The Silfab panels are very good panels. Personally, I would remove the Generac and install 25 Solaredge optimizers and a Solaredge 10KW or 11.4kw inverter. Asssuming that you have a 60 Amp Solar backfeed breaker. or a 7.6kw inverter if you have a 40 amp solar backfeed breaker. On my home I, with the help of a few friends installed 17.6kw of 400 watt PV modules(44) and 2- 7.6 kw Solaredge inverters. Did plans and permits myself. Wasn't terribly difficult. Hopefully you will be reimbursed for the defective equipment and if so, I think Solaredge would be a better choice since you are already setup for a string inverter.

      I did a little research on the issues with the Generac inverters. It seems that the inverters are not faulty but the rapid shutdown devices (SnapRS) are the issue. Generac says they have a reliable replacement for the SnapRS. I did more research and found that they are very easy to replace. Maybe you should request that Generac send you how many ever you need and you should be able to either get a friend to help, replace them yourself or I couldn't imagine paying more than a few hours labor to a company to replace them. Just a suggestion. At least this way you can get up and running and you can still continue with any legal action.

      @JasonWhitakerTheDIYDAD  2 года назад

      so I have 25 370watt panels on my roof. It is a 9.2 kw system. Through line loss and other factors I don't ever see production over 8.2 to 8.5 kwh to my house or meter during peak sun. 25% loss seems really high and normally would not see that type of degradation unless the panels are 20 years old. If you look at the spec sheet for your panels it will state what to expect. Hope that helps! Appreciate you watching!

      @@JasonWhitakerTheDIYDAD we have (38) 320KW panels. It is a 12.16 kw system. On a good day we see 9.1 Kw. Powerhome said this is within spec and we need to add more panels. 6 more panels would cost 18K. Took us almost a year to get it fully operational. We experienced bad panels and inverter issues. Horrible customer service! Had to make 2 calls for service requests (on hold forever) 1) to Powerhome and 2) to Generac and then bounce each others feedback against each other. Powerhome would not assist until we had a Generac case number and Generac would not assist without a Powerhome case #. Lot's of chasing our tails. Now that it is running (even not at high efficiency) I'm worried about future issues. No one will service our array because it will void our warranty. We have seen a small drop in our utility payment but not at the level they said and now we have a solar payment for many years to come. I feel taken advantage of.

    Would NEVER install solar, so many things can go wrong not least of which what if they mess up your roof, or sooner or later roof will need replacement working around those panels you'd better have expert roofer. Then this, plus all the expenses associated with financing, those warranties on panels are probably PRO RATED and do not include labor, so replacing them you will pay nearly the full price originally paid OR WILL THE COMPANY STILL BE IN BUSINESS, 5, 10, 20 YEARS FROM NOW. If you need to use legal action, the costs, stress involved and you may get zero...SO where are those savings?? Sounds like a complete SCAM.

At least your system isn't leased but that's still a massive loss, I don't know where you live but at this point you're probably never making your money back, mostly because I believe the panels Pink Energy installed aren't up to quality, so they won't last the expected 25 years or more, but the delays definitely sealed the deal. I think your best bet is to use the solar panels with a different system, do it yourself or hire an electrician, because hopefully the panels do work, so you can get it to work right away, their warranty is worthless anyway.

      The technology is in fact proven and profitable, the issue is ignorant, and quite frankly negligent consumers who blow huge amounts of money without doing the proper research and taking someone's word for it, so they get scammed by fraudulent companies like Pink Energy, if they were informed they would have known to just hire specific professionals to install them or done it themselves. I've even seen old people get lease, which you should never do getting a lease will vastly increase costs you should always buy solar outright.
