- Focusing on QUALITY food can have a huge impact on health, but many individuals reach a point where they hit a plateau. That’s when food QUANTITY comes into play.

Coach Rochet was my strength coach when I played football at USD. Learned a lot from him!
Yes! We definitely need more of this. Nutrition is so important and something that every person struggles with. I think I finally figured out my own diet, choosing things that are easy to prepare but also tasty.
eyeballing your plate seems like a good idea. weighing with protein as a guide seems good 0.8 g - 1 per pound of body weight is good. The Macro calculator seems fun 30% carb, protein, fat. Measuring everything while cooking it adding that extra step.
Jonny Sins is looking well!
How do you combine intermittent fasting with crossfit?
When I was doing IF, I would delay my breakfast as long as I could, and my last meal would be after my workout, then work backwards and find how many hours window you need.
Where can I find the video he mentioned that he watched when he first started getting into CrossFit? I am new to CrossFit and want to lean as much as I can
Eat in a deficit. Lift Heavy. That's it.
Thank you! Proportions are great. But how many calories in total should humans get? There are so many different calculators for that, and they are differed by 30% sometimes method by method.
A good estimate would be to eat 75-100% of your lean body mass in grams of protein. For instance, if I weigh 200 pounds, but I have 25% body fat, my lean body mass will be 150 pounds, so depending on my activity level, I should eat 110-150 grams of protein every day. That should constitute about 30% of your daily caloric intake. If I’m very active and consume 150 grams of protein, that will be 600 calories (because there are 4 calories per gram of protein), which means I should eat roughly 2,000 calories per day. You can do these calculations yourself once you know your own lean body mass.
What if you do this calculation and the protein is 50-60% id your diet… clearly I need ti eat more calories but not over night bc it will turn to fat so I’ve started to do more than just the CrossFit wod so my body has a neeed for more calories to use so it doesn’t just get deposited as fat anything else I’m missing?
I dont like how carbs make me feel. So can I set my protein % at 80%, carbs at 10%, fats at 10%?
she didnt mention eggs. Is that uncluded in the CrossFit diet?
Julie certainly doesn't look like she eats whole tubs of almond butter 😂💪
